Billy Fletcher
Billy Neil Fletcher, 74, of Miramar, Fla., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in Florida.
Born Dec. 21, 1926, in Campbell, he retired from the United States Coast Guard and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and Fleet Reserves.
On July 15, 1946, he married
Betty Irene James, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include seven children, Carol MacDougal, of North Carolina, Hope Perkins, of New York and Susan DeGuio, Martha McClain, Billy N. Fletcher, Jr., Russell Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher, all of Florida; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 30, for family only.
A graveside service will be held in Malden, Mo., in May, 2002.

Jose Gonzalez
Jose Gonzalez, of 37, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Hornersville, Mo.
Born Sept. 24, 1964, in Montemorelos, Mexico, he was the son of Arturo and Florenda Garzia Gonzalez.
On May 28, 1983, he married
Yolanda DeLeon May, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Jose Gonzalez; three daughters, Mayra, Venessa and Jacqueline Gonzalez; four brothers, Miquel, Arturo, Homero and Jorge Gonzalez and two sisters, Olga Rivera and Bertha Gonzales.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Nov. 2, at the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Kennett with the Rev. Henry Grodecki officiating.
Burial was in the Horner cemetery at Hornersville.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
Jim Grissom
Jim Grissom, 71, of Steele, Mo., died today, Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at his residence.

Ray Kellum, 63, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
Charlie Musgraves
Charlie Musgraves, 95, of Kennett, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born April 6, 1906, in Hickman Bend, Ark., son of the late Johnny and Cardie Hayes Musgraves, he was a laborer, a school bus driver for Armorel Arkansas Shool District, a deacon of St. Luke of Hickman and later a member of various churches in Mississippi County.
Survivors include five sons, Leroy, Sherwood, Robert, Odell and James Musgraves; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie and Suttie Musgraves and two brothers, Jeff and J.C. Musgraves.
Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jamie Marshall officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Billy Poole
Billy T. Poole, 73, of Blytheville, Ark., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born in Kennett, son of the late Corinne Poole Whitfield, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, worked in Civil Service, was a former manager of the Blytheville Bowling Lanes and a member of the American Bowling Congress.
He married
Donna M. Sturgeon, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include his children, Tommy and Tracy Poole, of Blytheville, Ark. and Alice J. Torres, of Searcy, Ark. and his grandchildren, Christina and Melissa Torres, and Alan, Ryan and Rachael Poole.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 2, at the Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L.V. Rigney officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elmwood cemetery.

Leonard Scallorns, 86, of Kennett, died today, Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Lucy Mae Williams-Smith, 68, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Bessie Blaylock
Bessie Lee Blaylock, 90, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Arkadelphia, Ark.
Born Jan. 29, 1911, at Kennett, daughter of the late William C. and Linnie Myrtle Bailey Cox, she was a guidance counselor and school teacher, a longtime member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Clarkton and later of the First Baptist Church in Campbell. She graduated from Clarkton High School and received her master's degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, Ark. She was a member the Campbell Federated Music Club, the Campbell B.P.W. and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
On Nov. 2, 1930, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she married
Harlan Nelson Blaylock who preceded her in death March 6, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Billie Lee Blaylock and a sister, Edna Whitaker.
Survivors include a son, Gary Nelson Blaylock and his wife, Joy, of Malden, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Blanchfield and her husband, Joe, of Payson, Ariz. and Sharon Blaylock of Arkadelphia; a brother, W.C. Cox of Rolling Fork, Miss.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the Landess Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery at Clarkton.

Paralee Green
Paralee Elizabeth Green, 94, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 12, 1907, at Malden, Mo., daughter of Neal and Adella Almond Marler, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ of Jackson, Mo.
On June 17, 1924, she married
Frank Moultrie Green. He preceded her in death July 11, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, William Green of Kennett, James Green of Sedgewickville and Danny Green of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Lee Powers of Cape Girardeau, Pid Grimes of Conway, Ark., and Frankie Robins of Advance, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Monday, Nov. 5, at the Liley Chapel with Jerry Culbertson and Brian McAlister officiating.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
James Grissom
James Grissom, 71, of Steele, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at his residence.
Born Thursday, Dec. 19, 1929, in Ragin, Tenn., son of the late Lois and Gollie Austin Grissom, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a farmer and attended the Assembly of God Church in Steele.
On Dec. 13, 1971, in Blytheville, Ark., he married
Artie Nichols, who survives of the family home.
Other survivors are three daughters, Debbie Holt of Steele, Pat Grissom and Deidra Hiltner, both of Lantana, Fla., three brothers, Bobby Grissom of Gideon, Mo., Norris Grissom of Benton, Ky. and Larry Grissom of Steele.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 4, in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele with the Rev. John Earl Dunavant officiating.
Ray Kellum
Ray Gene Kellum, 63, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Feb. 28, 1938, at Portageville, Mo. son of the late John Harvey and Ethel Marie Shaw Kellum, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a truck driver and was of the Pentecostal faith.
On Sept. 2, 1956, in Hernando, Miss., he married
Deloris Brittain who survives of the family home.
Other survivors include two sons, Glynn and Randy Kellum of Gideon; five brothers, Paul Kellum of Gideon, John H. Kellum and Ira Kellum, both of Aurora, Ill., Wayne Kellum of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and George Kellum of St. Louis; two sisters, Louise Higgins of Clarksville, Texas and Ruby Stevens of Clarkton, Mo.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Doyle, Roy, Jerry and Harold Kellum and one sister, Christine Gales.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Cleo Payne officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.
