Mable Foster
Mable Foster, 90, of Pascola, Mo., died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Oct. 4, 1911, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late Thomas Harvey and Ara Elizabeth Harrison Price, she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On May 21, 1928, in Clifton, Tenn., she married
Floyd Foster.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Burgett, of Pascola; one granddaughter, June Smith, of Bragg City; four great-granddaughters, Kristie Jo, Andrea, Jessica and Heather Smith and one brother, James Price, of Benton Harbor, Mich.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia; one grandson, Michael Floyd; three brothers, Harvey, Willie and Robert Earl Price and three sisters, Helen Tanner, Marie Byers and an infant sister.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were H.L. and James Fields, Jim and Bennie Smith, Shirrel Floyd and Sidney Shull.
Bud Hart
Bud Hart, 66, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, May 27, 2002, at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Sept. 24, 1935, in Hornersville, he was the son of Ruby Howard Hart, of Kennett and the late Arther Lee Hart.
On Dec. 4, 1954, he married
Betty Joann Remley, who preceded him in death on May 18, 1990. On Nov. 25, 1992, in Pocahontas, Ark., he married
Carolyn Burcham, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, David Wayne Hart, of Farmington, Mo.; four daughters, Becky Christain and husband, David, of Hornersville, Katie Lea, of Kennett, Tamara O'Neal and husband, David, of Little Rock, Ark. and Tina Mouritsen, of Denmark; three brothers, Don Hart, of Hornersville, Jim Hart, of Farmington and Charles Hart, of West Plains, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jennipher Porterfield, Heath and Hunter Christain and Garrett and Sadie Lea and three great-grandchildren, Christain, Drew and Zachery Porterfield.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Hart.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 29, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Tommy Wilkins, Harold Powell, John Edmonston, Carl Williams, C.H. Young, Marty and Mark Moore and Russell McCain.
Honorary pallbearers were the deacons and his Sunday school class of the First Baptist Church.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Kelley
Mary A. Kelley, 83, of Pontotoc, Miss., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at the Pontotoc Extended Care Nursing Home in Pontotoc.
Born June 7, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., daughter of the late Lynn and Alva Barrett Ramey, she worked for the Hayti Public School System. She was a member of the Hayti United Methodist Church, The Guild, the Hayti Womens Club and the Eastern Star.
She married
Vernon R. 'Webb', in Arkansas, who preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1976. She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Alva Lynne Baily and husband, Bob, of Madison, Miss; one son, Randy Kelley and wife, Bonnie, of Tupelo, Miss.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
Floyd Foster
Floyd Foster, 95, of Pascola, Mo., died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1907, in Olive Hill, Tenn., son of the late Frederick and Alice Stricklin Foster, he was a maintenance man with the Missouri Highway Department and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mable Price, who preceded him in death on May 25, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia; one grandson, Michael Floyd; one brother, Lloyd Foster and three sisters, Lola Conway, Mamie Gilmore and Bertha Hodge.

Vaughn Hutton
Vaughn Theo Hutton, 77, of Hoxie, Ark., formerly, of Manila, Ark., died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his residence.
Born in Manila, son of the late William Joseph and Mary Jewell Hutton, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII and in the Normandy Invasion where he received a Purple Heart during the D-Day action in France. He was a farmer and a member of the Manila Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Loraine Rice Hutton, of the home; one brother, Billy Joe Hutton, of Kennett; three nephews, Vaughn Wright Hutton, of Marion, Ark., James Randolph Hutton, of Jonesboro, Ark. and William Mark Hutton, of Blytheville, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 30, at the Howard Funeral Home in Manila.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Piercy officiating.
Burial will follow at the Manila cemetery with military honors provided by the Herman Davis American Legion Post of Manila.

George Lewis Miller, 71, of Wardell, Mo., died today, Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid, Mo.

Lettie Nichols
Lettie Mae Nichols, 95, of Kennett, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at South Haven, Mich.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett.
Vernie Berry
Vernie 'Vern' Junior Berry, 74, of Robertsville, Mo., died Wednesday, May 29, 2002.
Born May 2, 1928, in Blue Cane, Ark., son of the late Thomas William Berry, formerly of Kennett and Ruth Myrtle Hogeland Berry, he was a member of the Cedar Hill Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, a carpenter, electrician and owned and operated his own hauling business.
On Feb. 7, 1976, he married
Lynne Isabele Bridges, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Tommy Joe Berry and wife, Anita, of St. Clair, Mo. and Raymond Dale Berry and wife, Cheryl, of Robertsville; two daughters, Sharon Kay Williams, of Jonesboro, Ark. and Bonny Carol Fink and husband, Todd, of Robertsville; one step-son, Jack Ray Bridges, and wife Jeronda, of Park Hills, Mo.; four sisters, Mary Graham and husband, Bob, of Pacific, Mo., Louise Redden, of Festus, Mo., Willma Britton and husband, David, of St. Charles, Mo. and Rida Atchison, of St. Clair; eighteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Estelline Berry and Katie Parrish.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, May 31, at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Bro. Tony Zimbelmann officiating. Burial was in the Anaconda cemetery at St. Clair.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Researach Hospital.

Bertha Hindmon, 85, of Kennett, formerly, of Rives, Mo., died today, Friday, May 31, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
