Georgia Teaster
Georgia Mae Teaster, 85, of Monroe, La., died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at North Monroe Hospital in Monroe.
Born March 17, 1916, in Deering, Mo., she was of the Methodist faith but attended the North Monroe Baptist Church. She taught school in Southeast Missouri and Arkansas before retiring.
She married
Leonard L. Teaster, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Len Teaster and wife, Martha, of Pocahontas, Ark. and Fred Teaster and wife Judy, of Monroe; five grandchildren, Cindi Madison, Lenny and Trason Teaster, Shelia Ginn and Jansen Aloisio; seven great-grandchildren, Stephen Southard, Jonathan Madison, Torin Teaster, Tyler and Lance Ginn, and Karlin and Blake Aloisio and one sister, Mildred Farr, of Chesterfield, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenny Joe Teaster.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the North Monroe Baptist church with the Rev. Warren Eckhardt and Dr. Bill Dye officiating.
Burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti, Mo.
Pallbearers are Robert Neal, John Hunter, Jim Gray, Joe Albritton, Stephan Southard, Trason Teaster, Keith Ginn and Keith Huey.
Lillie M. Brooks
Lillie M. Brooks, 88, of Warrenton, Mo., formerly of Rives, Mo. and Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Jonesburg Missouri Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 18, 1913, in Hollywood, Mo., daughter of the late Elmer and Jane Higginbotham Skelton, she married
Clint A. Brooks on Oct. 24, 1931. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1978.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Brooks and his wife, Melba, of Wright City, Mo.; one daughter, Doris Raines and her husband, Barney, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and one sister, Rachel Dollens of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Mildred Lavada Brooks; one brother, Lloyd Skelton and one sister, Emma Palmer.
Funeral services were held today, Nov. 8, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Charles James officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu cemetery in Senath.
Pallbearers were Mark Raines, Mike Raines, Jonathan Scott, Keith Brooks, Ted Westrich and Rob Raines.
Charles A. Crawford
Charles A. Crawford, 55, of Wappapello, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at his home.
Born Jan. 15, 1946, in Puxico, son of the late William O. and Leona Clayton Crawford, he lived in the Puxico and Wappapello communities all of his life. He was a carpenter and receiving clerk with Rowe Furniture, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Poplar Bluff and a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club.
On Aug. 17, 1965, he married
Della Landers Crawford, who survives of the home, in St. Louis, Mo.
Survivors also include one daughter, Lisa Hendry, and husband, Doug, of Wappapello; one grandson, Tyler Ray Hendry of Wappapello; and one brother Bill Crawford, and wife Barbara, of Wappapello.
Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. Glenn Marshall officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, in the Puxico cemetery.
Ethel Crawford
Ethel E. Crawford, 65, of Osceola, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov, 6, 2001 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a bank teller and of Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Crawford of the home; one son Scott Crawford of Paragould, Ark; two daughters, Cheryl McAnnally of Turrell, Ark and Nancy Rapert of Osceola; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held today, Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. with Gary Andrews officiating. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge of the arrangements.
Clyde Edwards
Clyde Edwards, 88, of Piedmont, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001 at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.
Born on May 25, 1913 in Hickory Flat, Miss., he was the son of the late William Harvey and Cynthia Ann Hale Edwards.
Survivors include four sons, Marvin Edwards of Lady Lake, Fla., Don Edwards of Piedmont, Jack Edwards of Mooresville, N.C., and Jerry Edwards of Concorde, N.C.; one daughter Rebecca Dinkins of Freeburg, Ill; two sisters Etoyle Gaddis of Kennett and Lucille Sullivan of Hickory Flat; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a spouse, two brothers, Grady and Marvin Edwards, and two sisters Pauline Grasse and Cleo Wimbley.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Memorial Gardens cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Jewel Hobbs
Jewell Walker Hobbs, 84, of Campbell, Mo. died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born on Dec. 24, 1916 in Pollard, Ark., to the late Claud Ellison and Mary Joda Latta Williams, she was the former co-owner of M & J Department Store in Campbell and of Baptist faith. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Campbell Chapter 92 for 24 years, serving as treasurer for several years.
On July 17, 1937 she married
Edward Levi (Aleck) Walker in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1960. She later married
Claude Martin Hobbs on Sept. 9, 1968 at Campbell. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Walker Manship-Francis and husband, Dean, of Harrah, Okla.; three brothers, Lemuel Williams of Biloxi, Miss., Paul Williams of Little Rock, Ark, and Joe Williams of Pittsburg, Penn.; three grandchildren, Alan Walker and William Basil (Bart) Manship and Angela Susan Holt, all of Harrah; and six great-grandchildren, William Basil, Asa Thomas, Alana Suzanne, Tabitha Elizabeth, Joseph Colton Manship, and Alexandria Susan Holt, all of Harrah,
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Jane Walker, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell.
Services will follow at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 with the Rev. O.H. Brooks officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell.

Lucy Williams-Smith
Lucy Mae Wiliams-Smith, 68, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Sept. 10, 1933, in Sunflower, Miss., daughter of the late Robert Lee and Willie Mae Crawford Johnson, she was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti.
In Aug. 1950, she married
Eddie Lee Williams, Sr., in Elnora, Miss., who preceded her in death in 1971. She later married
Thomas Smith, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Leroy Williams, of Malden, Mo., Willie Charles Williams, of Killeen, Texas, Steven Williams, of Lilbourn, Mo. and Eddie Lee Williams, Jr., of Homestown, Mo.; eight daughters, Doris Jean Booth, Carolyn Marie Hill and Rosetta Williams, all of Kansas City, Mo., Jeanette Feltus, Brenda Thompson and Olvdean Williams, all of Hayti, Linda Banks, of Fort Hood, Texas and Deborah Borders, of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Gladys Maelin and Bessie Reed, both of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Robert Lee Johnson, Jr., of Memphis, Jammy Lee Johnson, of Witcha, Kan. and Charlie C. Johnson, of Okalona, Miss.; 38 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 9, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Hayti.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with the Rev. T.L. Jefferson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Evergreen cemetery in Hayti.

Elizabeth Wilson, 97, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
