Clifton Royal
Clifton Royal, 69, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, June 8, 2002. Born June 20, 1932, at Morrilton, Ark., son of the late Ollie and Lille Davis Royal, he was a forklift driver.
On September 8, 1972, he married
Lucinda Gambil, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons: Reginald Hall of Calif., Cary Hall of Indianapolis, Ind. and Terrance Hall of Carbondale, Ill.; a daughter: Verna Dean of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers: William Royal of East Chicago, Ill., James Royal of Elkhart, Ind. and Booker T. Royal of Hayti; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marvell Mathis and Nellie Mack. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, in the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Bradshaw-Osburn Chapel with the Rev. LeRoy Lockridge officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Hayti.
Donnie Caldwell
Donnie Caldwell, 50, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Friday, June 14, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Sunday, June 16, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Arbyrd.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, at First Baptist Church in Arbyrd with the Revs. Alan Cureton and Everett Isom officiating.
Burial will be in the Lulu cemetery.
Diana Hawkins
Diana Hawkins, 59, of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at her residence.
Visitation is 6 pm. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, June 16, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Senath.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, at McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating. Burial will be in Lulu cemetery. Jean Langdon

Alvis Pierce, Jr.
Alvis Garfield Pierce, Jr., 76, of Cardwell, Mo., died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.
Born Feb. 21, 1926, in Minturn, Ark., son of the late Alvis and Icel Mae Daily Pierce, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On March 16, 1946, in Paragould, Ark., he married
Julia Dailey, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: a son, Alvis "Sonny" Pierce of Leachville, Ark.; two daughters: Alice Ann Erickson and husband, Mark, of Sonora, Calif. and Rebecca Sue Roberts and husband, Archie, of St. Cloud, Fla.; two brothers: Frank Pierce of Leachville and James Pierce of Arbyrd, Mo., five sisters: Mary Pierce Baker of Cardwell, Imogene Young of Trevor, Wis., Patsy Tillman of Jonesboro, Ark., Francis Veal of Olympia, Wash. and Lorraine Shirpo of Tangerine, Fla.; six grandchildren: Michael Erickson, Julia Christy, Buddy Iverson, Jason Pierce, Justin and Amy Roberts; two great-grandchildren: Laura and Kristen Christy.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Pierce.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in the McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Arbyrd with the Rev. Denny Brown officiating.
Burial was in Cardwell cemetery.
Mabel White
Mabel O. White, 85, of Rives, Mo., died Friday, June 14, 2002, at NHC Healthcare Nursing Home in Kennett.

Lillie Arnold
Lillie Parker Arnold, 90, of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Albert Camp officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
Donnie Caldwell
Donnie Caldwell, 50, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Friday, June 14, 2002, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
Born Jan. 24, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of Robert Scott Caldwell and the late Martha Hill.
On July 11, 1981, in Imperial, Mo., he married
Tamara Schneider, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include, one son, Christopher Hargrove; one grandchild, Taylor Hargrove; three brothers, Jim and Bobby Caldwell and Lee Busiek and two sisters, Debbie Robertson and Nellie Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Frankie Caldwell.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 17, at the Arbyrd Baptist Church with the Revs. Alan Cureton and Everett Isom officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Robertson, Jimmy, Matthew and Daniel Caldwell, Johnny Lawson, Jr. and Doug Rogers.

Patricia Carr
Patricia Marie Carr, 72, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Aug. 29, 1929, in Russellville, Ark., daughter of the late W.R. and Clara Eunice Soule Davis, she was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Malden and the Adene Keller Music Club.
On Feb. 16, 1952, in Charleston, Mo., she married
Edward Benjamin Carr, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one brother, W.R. Davis, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Trinkler and husband, Mike and Peggy Ogden and husband, Richard, all of Malden; two sisters, Annette Culpepper, of Kennett and Katherine Nelson, of Selma Ala.; nine grandchildren, Angie Gree, Russ, Lance and Jeremy Sterling, Casey Bowman, Corey and Codey Trinkler and Brandon and Kayleigh Ogden and three great-grandchildren , Maci Greer, Justin Barkley and Taylor Sterling.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 18, at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Malden with Father Glenn Eftink officiating.
Burial was in the Rosewood cemetery at Malden.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
Ulis Holder
Ulis Holder, 75, of Glennville, Ga., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at his residence.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Zion, Ill.
Survivors include one son, John L. Holder, of Carbondale, Ill.; one daughter, Karen H. Cox and husband, Bill, of Glennville, Ga.; one brother, Bob Holder, of Everett, Mo.; two sisters, Loveda Mansfield, of Burton, Mich., and Elnora Tanzyus, of Springfield, Ill.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Jean Langdon
Jean Randol Langdon, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Hornersville, Mo. died Friday, June 14, 2002.
Son of the late E.J. and Fannie Langdon, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was involved with the space program.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Langdon, of Paragould; two sons, Glenn Langdon and wife, Laurie, of New Orleans, La. and Keith Langdon, of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, John Langdon and wife, Mickey, of Eldon, Mo. and Joe Langdon and wife, Mildred, of Hornersville; one sister, Lou Carter and husband, Chuck, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four step-children, Danny Blankenship and wife, Alice, of Cardwell, Mo., Kay Elliott and husband, Ken, of North Little Rock, Ark., Randy Blankenship and wife, Dana, of Cardwell and Gary Blankenship and wife, Martha, of Searcy, Ark.; eight step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Langdon.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 18, at the Horner cemetery in Hornersville with Ken Hargrave officiating.
Pallbearers were Randy, Gary, Kyle and Patrick Blankenship, Paul Langdon and Shaun Elliott.
Honorary pallbearers were Allen Carter, Danny, Kurt and Tim Blankenship and Ken Elliott.

Virgle Long
Virgle Ralph Long, 80, of Senath, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
Burl Mumma
Burl Mumma, 83, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at the Senath Nursing Center in Senath.
Born Aug. 6, 1918, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late Martin V. and Elizabeth Atteberry Mumma, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during WWII, a member of the Methodist Church and the Rotary Club.
On Nov. 20, 1940, in Bloomfield, Mo., he married
Geneva Shelton, who survives of the home.
Survivors also incluide one son, Michael Mumma and wife, Mary, of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Libby Spence, of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, Bill Mumma, of Topeka, Kan. and Richard Mumma, of Rolla, Mo.; one sister, Agatha Largent, of Sikeston, Mo. and two grandchildren, Meghan Mumma and Carrie McGrew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Van Mumma and one sister, Jean Delaney.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Cardwell cemetery with the Rev. Gene West officiating.
