Billy Brent, 67, of Gentry, Ark., formerly of Wardell, Mo., died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 9, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Wardell . Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Bradshaw-Osburn Chapel with the Rev. Louie Williams officiating.
Myrtle Brewington
Myrtle Brewington, 85, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, July 8, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Mo.

Ralph Chism
Ralph Chism, 79, of Conway, Ark., died Saturday, July 6, 2002 at his home. Born March 8, 1923, in Lanty, Ark., son of the late William H. and Johnnie Victoria Sutton Chism.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sylvon Boone Chism; three brothers, Athel, Cecil and M.G. Chism and a sister, Ruby Truelove. Survivors include five daughters: Marilyn Robertson and her husband, Gerald and Dana McMahon and her husband, Don, all of Springfield, Mo., Diana Julian and her husband, Terry, of Benton, Ark., Marty Howard of Dexter and Renee Goodman and her husband, Stan, of Conway, Ark.; a son, Bill Chism and his wife, Frank, of Springfield; two brothers: Harold and Rayburn Chism and a sister, Reba Miller all of Plumerville, Ark.; six granddaughters: Robyn Cronin, Lana Byrd, Jill Mercing, Crystal Strong, Laura Schwieger and Katie Howard; seven grandsons: Brent Chism, Justin McMahon, Kevin Chism, Wes Howard, John Julian, Andy Goodman and David Howard and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, at the University Church of Christ with Bill Turner, Mike Morris and Lendall Bolin officiating.
Burial will be today, Tuesday, July 9, in Hazelwood cemetery in Springfield, Mo. under direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
Malcom Gramling
Malcolm Oscar Gramling, 74, of Kennettt, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Born Dec. 16, 1927, at Walcott, Ark., son of the late Estes G. and Cordie May Gramling, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Kennett.
On Nov. 25, 1949, he married
Dolores Vearn Ray who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Timothy Paul Gramling of Cape Girardeau, Mo., three daughters: Doranna Lee Wells of Harriman, Tenn., Teresa Ann Gemeinhardt of Anniston, Mo. and Julie Elizabeth Foster of Allen, Texas; two brothers: Eugene Gramling of Kennett and Stan Gramling of Heber Springs, Ark.; three sisters: Maxine Ward of Aurora, Mo., Alidene Tinkle of Kennett and Madonna Stewart of Paragould, Ark. and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with Bro. Sam Stewart officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemtery in Kennett.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund.
James Holmes
James P. Holmes, 78, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at his home.
Born Jue 2, 1924 in Lyon County, Ky., son of the late Monroe and Eliza Helton Holmes, he enlisted in the U.S. Army March 2, 1943, at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. and received an honorable discharge at Jefferson Barracks Jan. 3, 1946. He was awarded three bronze stars during World War II. He was a machine operator with Case Manufacturing prior to retirement and was of the Methodist faith.
On July 14, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, he married
Doris Buck who preceded him in death. On Jan. 8, 1993, in DeWitt, Iowa, he married
Mary Lucille Oliver, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons: Dennis Holmes of Haines City, Fla. and Larry Holmes of Clinton, Iowa; three daughters: Doris Ann Burmesiter, Long Grove, Iowa; Linda Morris, Davenport, Iowa and Marsha Christy of Caruthersville; two brothers: Willis Holmes of Oran, Mo. and Edward Holmes of Davenport; two sisters: Anna Mae Gillian of Montclair, Calif. and Beatrice Goetz of Bettendorf, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene, and four sisters, Ruby Edwards, Viola Barker, Vernia James and Lois Barker.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in Little Prairie cemetery.
Pallbearers were R.J. Morris, Henry Williams, Josh Wilbanks, Robert Holmes, Darin Burmeister and Brian Morris.
Eunice Latimer
Eunice E. Latimer, 83, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, July 1, 2002, at her home.
Born Feb. 1, 1919, in Beech Bluff, Tenn., daughter of the late Henry A. and Esther Willoughby Crumby, she attended school in Beech Bluff and Deering, Mo. She was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church and the Garden Club.
Survivors include two sisters: Martha Murphy and Ruby Irving, both of Jackson, Tenn. and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Crumby and Maxine Crumby, also of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Harold.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 4, at Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Burial was in Little Prairie cemetery at Caruthersville under direction of H.S. Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dan Travis, Gearl Adams, Mike Rutherford, C.L. Criswell, Charles Davis and Denny Merideth.
Aaron Little
Aaron Randall Little, 19, of Steele, Mo., died Sunday, June 30, 2002, in Blytheville, Ark.
Born Jan. 8, 1983, in Blytheville, son of Charles Randall and Janet Lynn Tomlin Little of Steele, Mo., he was a graduate of South Pemiscot High School and Cotton Boll Vocational Technical School and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blytheville.
Other survivors include a brother, James Little of Helena, Ark.; a sister, Jennifer Reid of Steele; grandparents: Charles and Myrtle Little of Steele and Janie Estes of Hayti.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Wight officiating.
Interment was in the Little Prairie cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frankie Lane, Harold Shipley, Jackson Bradford, Jerod Beaver, Gary Shipley and Loran Shipley.
John Lorance
John Wesley Lorance, 87, of Kennett, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Bradshaw Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Mitag officiating.
Burial will be in Gregory cemetery in Kennett.
Bernice McCammon
Bernice Wiley McCammon, 85, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at her residence.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 9, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at First Southern Baptist Church in Malden with Dr. Bill Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Elder cemetery at Campbell.
Euna Meddress
Euna Eula Meddress, 89, of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Feb. 13, 1913, in Center, Ark., daughter of the late Green and Belle Carver Dawson, she was a homemaker and member of Antioch Church in Cardwell.
She married
Erwin Meddress who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Ann Meddress.
Survivors include a son, Doug Meddress of Cardwell; four daughters: Pat Singleton of Paragould, Ark., Rheba Cothren of Searcy, Ark., Aneita Lentz and Wyveta Percell, both of Jackson, Tenn.; a brother, John Dawson of Paragould and sister, Luna King of Tallulah, La.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Heath Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Heath Colonial Chapel with Herbert Knight officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens cemetery in Paragould.
Memorials may be made to the Cardwell cemetery Road Fund.
Robert Michie
Robert "Bob" Gene Michie, 60, of West Memphis, Ark., died Thursday, July 4, 2002, in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Monday, Sept. 8, 1941, in Steele, son of Allie Nail Michie of Steele and the late Sid Michie, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and a salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Michie of the home; two daughters: Julie Warrix and Tammy Michie both of Indiana; a brother, Bill Michie of West Memphis and two grandchildren.
Funeral services are today, Tuesday, July 9, in Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, with the Rev. Jim Mousie officiating.
Burial in Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele.
Earline Morgan
Earline Morgan, 81, of Holcomb, Mo., died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at National Healthcare in Kennett.
Born April 23, 1921, in Gideon, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ettie Green McCurter.
On Oct. 2, 1937, she married
Chester Morgan who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1970.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Morgan and two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three sons: Charles Morgan and his wife, Glenda, of Clarkton, Mo., Ricky Morgan andhis wife, Sue, and Keith Morgan and his wife, Angie, all of Holcomb; two daughters: Joyce Fincher of Holcomb and Melba Hardcastle and her husband, Bob, of Pacific, Mo.; four brothers: Chester McCurter of Rossville, Ga., Russell McCurter of Maynard, Ark., Ray McCurter of Warsaw, Mo. and Ronnie McCurter of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters: Barbara Hall of Belton, Mo. and Brenda Zumwalt of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 9, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in Sumach cemetery near Kennett.
Pallbearers were Tony Fincher, Joe Morgan, Eric Morgan, Brian Hardcastle, Phillip Hardcastle and Clinton Morgan.
