Ina Floyd

Ina Lorene Wilson Floyd, 83, of Slidell, La., formerly, of Kennett, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Slidell.

Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Jeff and Mandy Wilson, the family farmed for 30 years in Kennett and left farming to become nursing home administrators. They retired and returned to Kennett.

On Jan. 11, 1936, she married James Arley Floyd, who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1991. She was also preceded in death by four sisters.

Survivors include four sons, James Gaylon, Ronnie Paul, Homer Don and Arley Stephen Floyd; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Sharon McCall

Sharon Annette McCall, 55, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Friday, July 12, 2002, at her residence.

Born Jan. 4, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., daughter of Charles and Pauline Clendenin, of Cape Girardeau, she was a registered nurse.

On Oct. 16, 1970, in Paxton, Ill., she married Milburn R. McCall, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one brother, Bill Clendenin, of South Carolina.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo. with Karen Hartung officiating.

Mildred Morris

Mildred Morris, 94, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Chateau Girardeau, in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 28, 1907, in Malden, daughter of the late Harvey C. and Betty Sally Turnbow Taylor, she was a homemaker, a member of the Malden United Methodist Church and the Malden Culture Club.

She married Paul Morris, who preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1977. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jospeh, Harry and Morris Taylor and one sister, Martha Adams.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Clark Cuddeback and husband, Douglas, of Merrick, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Richard Morris, Michael Paul and Phillip Matthew Clark and two great-grandchildren, Bridget Megan and Kayleigh Faith Clark.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 16, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Robert Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park cemetery at Malden.

Paul Moss

Paul James Moss, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at his residence.

Born Jan. 30, 1918, in Farrenburg, Mo., son of the late James Madison and Mae Poole Moss, he was a U.S. Army veteran, where he was awarded five Bronze Stars, a repairman for Southwestern Bell and he operated the Family Restaurant. He was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW and American Legion Post No. 88.

On Dec. 10, 1945, in LaForge, Mo., he married Helen Laverne Gibson, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two daughters, Mary Jane Hunter and husband, Gilbert, of Macks Creek, Mo. and Debbie Burrow, of Camdenton, Mo.; one son, Mark Moss, of Caruthersville; five sisters, Pauline Garrett, of Columbia, Ohio, Clovis Edwards, of Portland, Ore., Phyllis Hepler and Nora Mae Northern, both of Sikeston, Mo. and Judy Hardin, of Hillsboro, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Randy Miller, of Lebanon, Mo., Curtis Hunter and Amanda and Cory Burrow, all of Camdenton; Richard Brantiner, of Springfield, Mo. and Cody and Kelsey Moss, both of Finger, Tenn. and two great-grandchildren, Bayley Miller, of Lebanon and Caleb Redman, of Camdenton.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joella and Lola.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve McFadden officiating.

Burial was in the Maple cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Lavanda White, Tim Sample, Buck Ferrell, Hansel Morgan, Charles Stewart and Joe Robert VanCleve.

Jerry Myers

Jerry Myers, 63, of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Three Rivers North Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Oak Ridge Ccemetery in Kennett.

Woodrow Parish

Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Parish, 89, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Memphis, Tenn.

Born Nov. 17, 1912, in Datto, Ark., son of the late Bodie P. and Mattie Mae Sullivan Parish, he was a veteran of WWII, worked for Pemiscot Dunklin Electric and was a security guard at Trinity Marine and Loxcreen. He was a member of the Hayti First United Methodist Church, charter member of the Hayti Methodist Men, Delta Ruritan and the Hayti VFW Post 6953.

On Feb. 22, 1946, in Hayti, he married Ruby Scott, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one daughter, Robbie McCulloch and husband, Johnny, of Hayti; two sons, Scotty Parish and wife, Jonna, of North Little Rock, Ark. and Wilson Parish and wife, Patty, of Conway, Ark.; five grandchildren, Jon Parish, of Conway, Jason Parish, of North Little Rock, Lori Parish, of Bolivar, Mo., Tammy Bennett, of New Madrid, Mo. and Terri Taylor, of Hayti; three great-grandchildren, Kaity and Zach Parish and Elizabeth Bennett and one brother, Charles Redwine and wife, Edna, of Cherokee Village, Ark.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Syble Wilson and one brother, Chester Redwine.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, at the First United Methodist Church in Hayti the Revs. Sue Cubbage and J. Daniel Fulbright officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Danny Brandon, Mike King, Raymond Oldsen, Mike Thomas, Rick Turnage and David Wilkerson.

Honorary pallbearers were co-workers at Pemiscot Dunklin, Bob Bolding, Doug Bowling, Doris Chism, LaNell Davis, Johnny Franks, Herbert Hankins, Cremer Jackson, Jim Pelts, George Jordan, Dub Ratliff, Stanley Rouse, Jim Scott, Tommie Smith, Jim Smotherman, Loretta Tomlinson and Jewel Wilson.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.

Hubert Petty

Hubert C. Petty, 77, of Kennett, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at his residence. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jim Cornman and Don Crawford officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Allen Ray

Allen M. Ray, 76, of Kennett, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at his residence. Born Aug. 23, 1925, in Campbell, Mo., son of the late Carl and Dora Harp Ray, he was an automobile dealer.

On Nov. 11, 1949, he married Betty Quinn, of Tallahassee, Fla.

Survivors also include one son, Russell A. Ray, and wife, Diane, of Cabool, Mo.; one daughter, LaDonna J. Brown and husband, Gregg, of Tallahassee; three sisters, Mildred Townsend and Margaret Martin, both of Conran, Mo. and Daisy Smith, of Kennett; four grandchildren, Amber Ray, of Greeley, Colo., Austin Ray, of Tulsa, Okla., Eli Brown, of Quincy, Fla. and Caroline Brown, of Tallahassee and one great-grandchild, Clay Brown, of Quincy.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Sonny Ray.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Noel Quinn officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Gregg and Eli Brown, Austin Ray, John Donnelly, Jerry Stillman and David Malone.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill McKeel, Jimmy Horner, Paul Hunt, J.L. Bickerstaff, John McClain, Gene Lemonds, Rudy Pylant, Joe Bankhead, John Alexander and Gerald Wilkerson.

Bobby Stacy

Bobby Gene Stacy, 71, of Kennett, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Vodie Jackson and Larry Dugger officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.

Raymond Wallace

Raymond Wallace, 88, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, July 12, 2002, at his residence.

Born June 15, 1914, in Cooter, Mo., son of the late B. and Mary Ellen Brownfield Wallace, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII, and a farmer.

On Aug. 22, 1946, in Concord, Mo., he married Lena Stafford, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Jerry W. Wallace, of Portageville, Mo. and Lonnie C. Wallace, of Hayti; one brother, Jessie B. Wallace, of Tyler, Mich.; one sister, Ethel Parton, of Westland, Mich.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal McAnally and Letha Barker.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Paul Quinn officiating.

Burial was in the Portageville cemetery.

Leslie Barnett

Leslie "Sonny" Barnett, 66, of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Three Rivers HealthCare North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Bartholomew officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Campbell, Mo.

J.D. Cunningham

J.D. Cunningham, 99, of Senath, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at his residence.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Bartholomew officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett.
