Danny Payne
Danny Lynn Payne, 44, of Hornersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at his residence.
Born Jan. 3, 1958, in Kennett, he was the son of Hershel and Evelyn Harder Payne, of Rives, Mo.
Survivors also include one son, Greg Lynn Payne, of Crawfordsville, Ark.; four brothers, Bryan Payne, of Lafayette, La., Russell and Joe Payne, both of Kennett and Loyd Payne, of Atlanta, Ga. and one sister, Sherrie Lynn of Cooter, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Kennett.
Nellie Price
Nellie Price, 82, of Malden, Mo., died today, Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at her residence.

Keith Riley, 38, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Pearl Smith
Pearl Earline Smith, 79, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Perry Clark officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.
Charlie Allen
Charlie Allen, 74, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home of Hayti.
Jettie Boyt
Jettie Henson Boyt, 97, of Kennett, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born April 28, in Holcomb, Mo., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Sally Todd Sanford.
She married
Jesse H. Henson who preceded her in death on April 7, 1978 and later married
James Boyt, who preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded in death by two sons, W.E. and Clinton Henson; two brothers; four sisters and one grandson, Terry Henson.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Henson and wife, Bonnie, of Kennett; four step-daughters; two daughters-in-law, Reba Henson, of Piggott, Ark and Naomi Henson, of New Madrid, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don Slatton and Gary Henson officiating.
Burial was in the Lloyd cemetery at Holcomb.
Pallbearers were C.M. Smith, Carol Moore, Maurice Wallace, Jim Akers, Bud Sweeney and John Donnelly.
Memorials may be made to the Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.
Archie Foster, Sr.
Archie Lee Foster, Sr., 67, of Gideon, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the St. Louis University Hosptial in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Sept. 19, 1935, in Pollard, Ark., son of the late Charley and Gladys Hayes Foster, he was of the Methodist faith.
On May 22, 1957, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he married
Dorothy Vert, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Archie Lee Foster, Jr. and wife, Tammy Sue, of Atkins, Ark., Michael Wayne Foster and wife, Teresa Ann, of Russellville, Ark. and Scott Foster, of Gideon; four brothers, Kenneth P. 'Bud' Foster, of Dover, Fla., Virgil Foster, of Kennett, Vernon Foster, of Highland, Ind. and Lyman E. 'Pete' Foster, of Marysville, Ind.; two sisters, Charlene Wayman and Diane Slicer, both of Kennett; five grandchildren, Jack Carr and Sarah Foster, both of Atkins, Jeremy Foster, of Russellville and Jarred and Megan Foster, both of Gideon and one great-grandchild, Cheyenne Marie Carr, of Atkins.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Anton. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Kinsey cemetery in Neelyvile, Mo.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon, was in charge of arrangements.
Regina Hall
Regina Lee Hall, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Dyer County, Tenn.
Born Jan. 5, 1955, in Hayti, daughter of the late Flora Marie Carter and Bill Basham, she was Director of Human Resources at the Family Counseling Center and a member of the Hayti First Baptist Church. On June 16, 1972, in Hayti, she married
Conway Hall, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Chris Hall and wife, Misty, of Hayti; one daughter, Kelli Hall, of Hayti; one granddaughter, Maison (Maisie) Ainsley Hall, of Hayti and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Hayti First Baptist Church in Hayti.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti.
Nellie Price
Nellie B. Price, 82, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at her residence.
Born Nov. 22, 1919, in Gideon, Mo., daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Ida Elizabeth O'Daniel Rose, she was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Malden and a retired factory worker.
On Jan. 31, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married
Johnnie Eugene Price, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1974. She was also preceded in death by one sister; four brothers and one grandson.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Lindsey, of Malden; one son, Richard Price, of Piggott, Ark; one sister, Gladys Gibson, of Malden and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
Burial was in the Memorial Park cemetery at Malden.
Keith Riley
Keith Allen Riley, 38, of Clarkton, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Sept. 11, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of Brenda Joyce Robinson Riley, of Malden, Mo. and the late Kenneth Wayne Riley, Jr., he was a truck driver and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Malden.
On May 2, 1998, in Malden, he married
Patricia Ogden, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one sister, Dianna Jackson and husband, Jack, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Riley, III and wife, Rachele Lynn, of Clarkton, Mo.; grandmothers, Juanita Robinson, of Clarkton and Helen Riley, of Malden; two nieces, Heather and Ashely Jackson, of Ft. Smith and one nephew, Garrett Wayne Riley, of Clarkton. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jack Robinson and Kenneth Riley, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. William J. MacGregor officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Gilead cemetery at Clarkton.
Mazie Shanks Mazie Ann Shanks, infant, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.
Born Oct. 5, 2002, in Blytheville, she was the daughter of Bryan Shanks and Maria Rosales, both of Osceola, Ark. Survivors also include maternal grandmother, Sherry Vandiver, of Kennett; paternal grandfather, David Shanks, of Reno, Nev.; paternal gandmother, Kari Shanks, of Osceola; maternal great-grandmother, Gladys Adkinson, of Kennett and two half-sisters, Adrianna and Emily Shanks, both of Jonesboro, Ark.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Trinity cemetery in Bono, Ark. with Jerry Thompson officiating.
Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
Troy Watkins
Troy Edwin Watkins, 59, of Bartlett, Tenn., died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Bartlett.
Born July 16, 1943, in Leachville, Ark., son of Clystia Kennedy Watkins, of Steele, Mo. and the late O.B. Watkins, he was a business owner and he attended the Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn.
He married
Freeda Reagan, who survives of the home. Survivors also include two brothers, Harvie Watkins, of Abbieville, Miss. and Marvin Watkins, of Sherman, Miss.; five sisters, Lavern Talbert and Debbie Pelley, both of Jonesboro, Ark., Ceil Law, of Jackson, Mo., Nancy Perry, of Millington, Tenn. and Vickey Conley, of Hornersville, Mo. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Assembly of God Church in Steele with the Revs. Joe Kelley and John Badgley officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele. Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.

Lydia Irene Belote, 79, of Brooksville, Fla., formerly of Qulin, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at her residence.
Born March 16, 1923, in Risco, Mo., daughter of the late William Harrison and Nora Ann Black Fuwell, she was a homemaker and a member of the Qulin Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Sauls, of Broseley, Mo. and Pete Redman, of Kokomo, Ind.; two daughters, Jettie Voisine, of Qulin and Margaret McCarter, of Brooksville; two step-children, Jack Belote and Nancy Wolverton, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Roscoe Fuwell, of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Ethel Rose, of Tennessee; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Landess Funeral home of Campbell, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Qulin Baptist Church with the Rev. Karl Kline officiating.
Burial will follow at the Brown Chapel cemetery in Broseley.

Phil Brannan, 63, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at his residence.
