Katherine Charlene Lauderdale
Jan. 27, 1948-June 13, 2007
Katherine Charlene Lauderdale, of Goodman, Mo., daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Ruddick) Ruede, was born on Jan. 27, 1948, in Pineville, Mo. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at the Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo., at the age of 59.
Katherine was a lifelong area resident of McDonald County, Mo. On June 12, 1978, in rural Newton County, she was united in marriage to Carl "Buck" Lauderdale and together they shared the last 29 years. Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She truly loved life on the family farm and found great joy in raising her animals. Her strong-willed, but always loving, personality will be missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Bob, Olin and Lavon Ruede.
She is survived by her husband, Buck Lauderdale of the home; three daughters, Tammy Muncy and husband, Dean, of Goodman, Mo., Ginger Short of Doolittle, Ark., and Cynthia Short of Noel, Mo.; two sons, Leslie Ruede of Joplin, Mo., and Jerry Short and wife, Stacey, of Neosho, Mo.; two adoptive sons, Tony Mitchell and Scott Mitchell and wife, Heather, both of Goodman, Mo.; a step-son, Carl Lauderdale of the state of Nevada (Maxwell) Crowder. He was raised in Pineville, Mo., where he attended school. On July 13, 1934, in Southwest City, Mo., he was united in marriage to Geneva Womack and to this union four daughters and two sons were born. Kenneth was a hard working and devoted family man and farmer. He retired at the age of 90 after several years of raising Black Angus cattle. In July of 2005, he left Noel, Mo., to make his home in Reading, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 60, Geneva Crowder on May 14, 1995; three brothers; and three sisters.
Kenneth is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Crowder and wife, MaChong, of Noel, Mo., and Dean Crowder and wife, Marge, of Bella Vista, Ark.; four daughters, Lila Walker and husband, Basil, of Wichita, Kan., Maxine Pierard of Reading, Kan., Donna Phillips of Noel, Mo., and Catherine Crowder of Anderson, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Cecil Crowder will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Shelt Noel Cemetery near Noel, Mo., with Pastor Rick Booyer officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Ollie Dell Givens
April 7, 1913-June 19, 2007
Ollie Dell Givens, 94, of Noel, Mo., was called to heaven at 11:17 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, with her loving family by her side at the home of her daughter in Noel, Mo., following an illness.
Ollie began her journey in Ellington, Mo., on April 7, 1913, born to the late John and Naomi Elizabeth (Mead) Bingham. She was a lifelong resident of Noel working for Nellie Don in her younger years. Ollie was united in marriage to William “Bill” Givens in 1953. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful seamstress, sewing clothes for all of her children and grandchildren. Ollie was a longtime faithful member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Noel, Mo., where she served many years as the church treasurer and a member of the Women’s Quilting Club.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Givens; three siblings, Omer Bingham, Donna McBride and Irene Dean; and one grandson, Michael Rayfield.
She is survived by her loving children, two sons, Robert Lee Rayfield and wife, Betty, of Bellflower, Mo., and Jack Dale Rayfield of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Thomas of Noel, Mo.; two brothers, Loren Bingham and wife, Mary, of Kansas City, Mo., and Leon Bingham of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Christie Skordal of Fayetteville, Ark., Brian Thomas of Noel, Mo., Jackie Miller of Eagle River, Alaska, Luke Rayfield of Bella Vista, Ark.; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; along with a host of family, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services for Ollie Dell Givens will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Noel, Mo. The Rev. Brent Beauford will officiate. Burial will follow at the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2007, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Noel, Mo. The family will receive friends at this time.
Memorial contributions in loving memory of Ollie Dell may be given to the Butler Creek Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.

Fern L. Burrowes
Nov. 8, 1921-June 4, 2007
On June 4, 2007, Fern L. Burrowes, 85, went to be with her Lord. Fern was born Nov. 8, 1921, at Ransom, Kan.
Fern and Bus Burrowes were married Jan. 5, 1941. He preceded her in death in December of 1982 and a grandson, Todd Traxon, in 1985.
Fern and Bus were former residents of Goodman, Mo., operating Main Street Cafe and Linwood Laundry in the 50s and 60s.
Survivors include one son, Jim Burrowes and wife, Mickie Burrowes, of Goodman, Mo.; one daughter, Vanda Dennis and husband, John, of Arcadia, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Burial will be at Banner Cemetery at a later date. Services provided by National Cremation Society of Arcadia, Fla.
Jeanalee J. Franks Enlow
Aug. 15, 1935-June 14, 2007
Jeanalee J. Franks Enlow, 71, Neosho, Mo., died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Franks was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Neosho, the daughter of Clifford Eugene and Ruby Faye Franks. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Seneca High School in 1954. Jeanalee worked at the former Sale Memorial Hospital, now Freeman Neosho Hospital as Medical Records Supervisor and later worked at Pick ’N’ Save Variety Store in Neosho. She was a former member of Northside Baptist Church and currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho.
She married James Richard Enlow on March 15, 1958, at Neosho and he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Enlow and wife, Jeania, of Neosho and Rusty Enlow and wife, Stacey, of Goodman, Mo.; five grandchildren, Lauren, Mica and Kaylan Enlow and Grace and Olivia Enlow; two brothers, Vic Franks and wife, Elana, and Jon Franks and wife, Pat, all of Neosho; one sister, Mary Ann Guppy and husband, Gary, Neosho; and a sister-in-law, Louise Johnson and husband, Carl, Naples, FLa.
Services were Monday, June 18, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Dr. Rick Hedger officiated. Burial was in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery and family served as pallbearers. Friends called at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the family received friends Saturday evening from 5 until 6 at the funeral home.

Evelyn Alice Haymes
Jan. 23, 1922-June 24, 2007
Evelyn Alice Haymes of Anderson, Mo., departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Mo., at the age of 85.
Evelyn began her earthly journey on Jan. 23, 1922, in Dearing, Kan., as one of seven children born to the late George Evert and Lillian Myrtle (Phillips) Kerns. Her formative years were spent in the states of Colo., and Dennis Haymes of Sparks, Nev.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wesley Kerns of Bartlesville, Okla., Ronald Kerns of Skiatook, Okla., and Larry Kerns of Ripon, Iowa, on Nov. 2, 1923, one of six children born to the late Alfred James and Elizabeth Ann (Williamson) Blake. John was united in marriage to Elvera Lucille Laycock on July 12, 1942, in South Lineville, Mo., and to this union one son was born. He moved to McDonald County three years ago to be closer to his family coming from Golden, Mo. Throughout his life he was a hard worker never sitting idle for very long. John loved fishing and would spend summers at their cabin in Canada, where he and his family would always enjoy the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Elvera, who left his side on Nov. 23, 2005; two brothers, Robert Blake, Chuck Blake; and a sister, Virgina Blake.
John is survived by his son, Jerry Lee Blake and wife, Chris, of Anderson Mo.; two sisters, Mildred Rigby and husband, Bob, of Laurens, Iowa; and his very special cat, Tommy; along with many other relatives, neighbors and friends who will dearly miss him.
Funeral services for John Henry Blake were held Monday, June 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Mo. Burial followed the service at the Viney Creek Cemetery in Golden, Mo.
Friends paid their respects Monday, June 25, 2005, from 10 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in loving memory of John may be made to the Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease in care of the funeral home.
