INA WITTEN LEACH
Ina Witten Leach, age 77, of Overland Park, Kansas, born July 10, 1927 at Fortuna, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Nora Kurtz Witten. She death. Mrs. Leach was a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Robert Leach of Overland Park, Kansas, and David Leach of Grandview; one daughter, Diana Leach of Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Thoss, Shannon Goldia
Goldia Shannon Thoss, age 97, of Versailles, born October 17, 1906 at Akinsville, Missouri, the daughter of Porter and Mary Emily Peoples Akin. She was united in marriage on May 27, 1927 with Charles William Thoss, who preceded her in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Wednesday morning, September 1, 2004 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. He was death by one sister. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Teressa Clyde officiating. Military honors and Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
MARTHA L. BLANKS
Martha L. Blanks, age 70, of Gravois Mills, born September 12, 1933, in Wheatland, Missouri, the daughter of Tom and Fannie Hollman Kain. She was united in marriage on May 25, 1952, with Norman Blanks who survives of the home. She was employed at Mid Way Laundry in Eldon. Martha is survived by four sons, Butch Blanks of Panama City, Florida, Billy Blanks, J.T. Blanks, and Roy Lee Blanks all of Gravois Mills; four daughters, Loretta Armstrong of Versailles, Luchier Crawford of Gravois Mills, Mary Fay Dial of Eldon, and Raylene Boles of Stover; one brother, David Kain of Warsaw; one sister, Ruby Box of Wheatland; twenty-five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 28, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Reverend Dinzel Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Cemetery near Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
JERRY L. JONES
Master Sergeant Jerry L. Jones, age 83, of Sunrise Beach, formerly of Sedalia, born August 14, 1921, in Longview, Texas. He was united in marriage on May 13, 1998, in Sunrise Beach, with Dorothy Meyers, who survives of the home. Master Sergeant Jones was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Elks Lodge #125, VFW, and the American Legion in Sedalia. Jerry was a very special person and will be sadly missed by those who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a special niece, Theresa Buchholtz and her husband Dean of Independence, MO; and several other nieces and nephews relatives and friends. There are no memorial services planned at this time. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
WILLIE E. “Everett” DAVIS
Willie E. “Everett” Davis, age 81, of Versailles, born November 4, 1922 at Brumley, Missouri, the son of Willie C. and Lela C. Miller Davis. He was united in marriage on September 27, 1948 in Eldon with Hazel Fields, who preceded him in death by one brother, John Shirber Davis, and one sister, Ruby Walker. Graveside services will full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, at the Versailles died peacefully in her sleep on August 22, 2004, at New Horizon Senior Citizens Home in Inverness, Florida. She was married to Robert Rynbrand and they made their home in Kansas City, MO until 1978 when she and Bob moved to the Lake of the Ozarks until his death by her father and mother; two sisters, Viola Gibson and Vivian Juvinal, and two brothers, George Goodrick and Rev. Francis Goodrick. She is survived by one brother; Robert Goodrick and wife Alene of Columbia, MO, one sister-in-law, Frances Roberts of Plano, TX, and nephews, Allen Goodrick of Plano, TX, David Goodrick of Palm Beach, FL, Dan Gibson of Kansas City, MO, and nieces Louise King of Texas and Patricia Amerine of Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Hooper Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside service and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association since Alzheimer’s disease caused the death of three of Virgie’s siblings. Virgie will be greatly missed by many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many good friends over the years. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Home in Inverness, FL and Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
