Louis Edward Raines Jr.
Louis Edward Raines Jr., age 48, of Versailles, born May 22, 1956 at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippine Islands, the son of Louis Edward Sr. and Lucille Hazel Colvin Raines. He Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Louis Edward Raines Jr. Memorial Fund. Kathryn Blain Marshall
Kathryn Blain Marshall, age 63, of Gravois Mills, born October 4, 1941 at Amoret, Missouri, a daughter of the late Norman and Irene Newsam Carlson. She was united in marriage on October 8, 1991 with Glenn Marshall, who survives of the home. She is also survived by one daughter, Debra Henning of Kingman, Kansas; two sons, Ronald Edwards of Orlando, Florida, and Jerry Atkins of Kansas City; one sister, Maribelle Love of Kansas City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 4, at the Mulberry passed away Tuesday morning, July 26, 2005, at his daughter’s home in Versailles. He was death on January 23, 2004. John was a retired carpenter who loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his four daughters, Mary Ann Coleman, Patty Colburtson, and Shirley Brown all of Versailles, and Wanda Weaver of Stover; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in passed away Saturday evening, July 16, 2005 at Rest Haven Retirement Home in Sedalia. She was death on August 12, 2001. Mrs. Brownfield graduated from Green Ridge High School. She was a bookkeeper for the Green Ridge School and later Morgan County Gas in Versailles. She was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Versailles. She is survived by two brothers, Dale Ray of Sedalia, and Melvin Ray of Green Ridge, several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Show Me Christian Youth Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Rachel “Jan” Soper
Rachel “Jan” Soper, age 82, of Laurie, Missouri born March 28, 1923 in Garrad County, Kentucky, the daughter of Price and Grace Durbin Flannery. She was united in marriage on October 24, 1942 to Kenneth K. Soper who survives of the home. Jan was a card processor for Hallmark Cards and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Soper of the home; one son Ken Soper of North Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter Kathy Goodwin of Liberty, Missouri; two brothers Bob Flannery and Milton Dean Flannery of Winchester, Kentucky; three sisters, Marie Brown of Liberty, Missouri, Virginia Simpson of St. Joseph, Missouri, Mary Frances Chipley of Kannapolis, North Carolina; three grandchildren Britney Soper, John Goodwin, Brian Goodwin; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Goodwin, Jason Goodwin, and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in Cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie. Ada C. Friedly
Ada C. Friedly, age 88, of Versailles, born June 2, 1917, in Morgan County, Missouri, the daughter of Conrad A. and Audrey Arnold Friedly. Ada spent most of her life caring for children and the elderly. She also spent some time as a Nurses Aide. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and writing poetry. But most of all, she loved children. She is survived by one sister, Ina Burton Cook and her husband Ray of the state of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 18, 2005, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Gary Petty officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gideons International. Joshua Shane Timmerman
Joshua Shane Timmerman, son of James and Janet Timmerman, was born October 11, 1981 in Sacramento, California. He departed this life Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the age of 23 years, 8 months, 15 days due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Laurie, MO. Josh is survived by his parents, James Maurice and Janet Lee Timmerman of Sunrise Beach, MO; his lil’ sis’ Jamie Lynn Timmerman, of Laurie, MO; his grandfather, Bob Sizemore and his companion Darlene of Mission Viejo, CA; his grandmothers, Elaine Martin of Camdenton, MO, and Mimi Juarez of Huntington Beach, CA; uncles Don Sizemore of Carmichael, CA, Scott Juarez of Huntington Beach, Ca; great uncle, Joe Miller of Newport, CA; one cousin, Barrett Sizemore and his wife Sarah of Sacramento, CA, and many great friends and relationships. Josh was an avid sport fan. His favorite teams were the Sacramento Kings and the Oakland Raiders. He was always right on top off all the stats and trades, as a true sports fanatic should be. He had a heart for music and especially loved “Jammin with his buddies” and singing karoke. Although he loved these things, his true love was his family and pets. This was always his priority. Joshua’s heart and compassion will be truly missed and always remembered. We love you Joshy, and will see you when its our time. We know you’re watching over us. Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie, with Pastor Nick Stutesman officiating.
