Samuel Robert Walters, 55, of Gravois Mills, born Jan. 9, 1948, near Gravois Mills, a son of Joe O. and Patricia Powers Walters. On May 29, 1977, he was died May 28, 1997. On March 31, 2001, he was Cemetery near Gravois Mills, with military rites by American Legion Zack Wheat Post No. 624 of Sunrise Beach. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church Gravois Mills United Methodist Church.
Nina Marie Duffer
Nina Marie Duffer, age 78, of Stover, born August 1, 1924 in Morgan County, Missouri, the daughter of Charley and Della Shewmaker Webb. She was united in marriage on April 2, 1941 with Harvey John Duffer, who preceded her in death by five brothers, Claud, Erbert, Paul, Richard, and Dorsey Webb, and one sister, Thelma Marriott. Services are at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Dinzel Webb officiating. Burial is in the Stover died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was Cemetery, with the Rev. Gailya Dow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
Margaret S. Hoover
Margaret S. Hoover, age 16 of Latham, born August 20, 1986 at home near Latham, the daughter of Earl and Elizabeth Sauder Hoover. She is survived by her parents, Earl and Elizabeth Hoover of the home; four brothers, Abel, Floyd, Naaman and Henry Hoover; and four sisters, Irene, Leora, Lena and Elva Hoover, all of the home; paternal grandparents, John and Ella Hoover of Curtis, Wisconsin; maternal grandparents, Enos and Lydia Sauder of Latham; step great-grandparents, Abram and Nora Rissler of Barnett; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends. She was preceded in Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles
Nadine Marie Oberjuerge
Nadine Marie Oberjuerge, 79, of Gravois Mills, MO, born April 8, 1923, in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Gus F. and Carrie H. Meister Kline. She was united in marriage on October 3, 1942, in Jefferson City, MO, with Homer K. Oberjuerge. Nadine was raised in Jefferson City, MO, and graduated from high school in 1941. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Greenview, was involved in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Twin Island Fishing Club, the AARP, Laurie Care Center, Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging, the Lake Bloomers Garden Club, Morgan County CMAAA, the Gravois Fire District Auxiliary, Lake of the Ozarks Yachting Association, Lake West Chamber of Commerce, the Lady Lakers Red Hat Society, Sunrise Beach Little Theatre, the Morgan and Camden County Habitats for Humanity, the Morgan and Camden County Historical Societies, the Jefferson City High School Alumni Association in Jefferson City, MO. She served as president of the Laurie Care Center/Knolls Guild, a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Missouri Area on Aging, chairman and service officer for the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, member of the Board of Directors for the Morgan County CMAAA and president of the West Lake Newcomers Club. Nadine worked as a secretary at the U.S. Division of Fish and Wildlife in Jefferson City, MO, then moved to Kansas City in 1946 and spent the next 33 years with the U.S. General Accounting Office, before retiring and moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1979. In 1995, Nadine was the Chamber of Commerce’s national “Outstanding Volunteer, ” and in 1999 she received Blue Cross Blue Shield’s “Best Friend” award as the outstanding volunteer in Missouri. In 2001 she received the Lake West Chamber’s Eagle Award for volunteerism and was the Grand Marshall of the Christmas Parade. In the July/August 2002 addition of the Lake of the Ozarks area Ageless Times she said, “I love being involved and helping people. It keeps me feeling alive.” She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Homer Oberjuerge of the home; her brother-in-law, Don Oberjuerge and wife, Carolyn, of Kansas City, MO; four nieces, and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in Cemetery in Greenview. Casketbearers were Don Wilson, Sam Wilson, Brad Wilson, Dr. William Cole, Don Schmidt, and Greg Corday. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
Sarah E. Fletcher
Sarah E. Fletcher, age 91, of Versailles, formerly of Windsor, born October 7, 1911 in Morgan County, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph H. and Mary L. Jobe Woods. She was united in marriage on April 26, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas with Fred R. Fletcher who preceded her in death by one son, Fred Fletcher Jr., one daughter, Loretta E. Fletcher, one brother, Homer Woods, and three sisters, Rose Sousley, Ethel Collins and Annie Clark. Services were at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Danny Owsley officiating. Burial was in the Versailles died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was Cemetery near Russellville, with the Rev. Alan Earls officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
