Frances Marie Gilbert
Frances Marie Gilbert, age 72, of Osage Beach, born August 31, 1930 in Moberly, Missouri, she was the only child of Glenn and Marie Taylor. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in business, began working in Kansas City for Butler Manufacturing in Personnel and later death by one son, Joe Gilbert III. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 6, 2003 at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach with Pastor Robert Hickman officiating. Graveside services and Cemetery in Brunswick, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Dogwood Animal Shelter in Camdenton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles & Laurie.
Glendola Alta Bentch Wenger
Glendola Alta Bentch Wenger, age 78, of Versailles, born March 8, 1924 in Sagrada, Missouri, the daughter of George Ezra and Minnie Opal McDavitt Bentch. She was united in marriage on September 19, 1948 to L. Roy Wenger in a double ceremony with her sister, Lela and his brother Paul at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of ten and was baptized. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of Versailles and Gideons International Auxiliary. Glenda loved the Lord and served him all her life. She was a example of a Godly woman, a wonderful mother and wife, she is in the arms of the Lord and will be greatly missed. Glendola attended school in Lick Creek area and graduated from Climax Springs High School. In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven daughters, Delores Miller and husband, Marlin of Versailles, MO, Charlene Yoder and husband, Cleo of Wolford, ND, Darlene Reimer and husband, Leonard of Omaha, NE, Marilyn Stevens of Omaha, NE, Janice Miller and husband, Clifford of Versailles, Judith Redcay and husband, Elmer of Jefferson City, MO, Vivian Good and husband, Jeff of Murphy, ID; two sons, Philip Wenger and wife, Helen of Versailles, MO, and Frederick Wenger and wife, Natasha of Jefferson City, MO; two brothers Don Bentch of Versailles, MO, and Clarence Bentch and wife, Betty of Jefferson City, MO; two sisters, Lela Wenger and husband, Paul of Hesston, KS, and Eunice Lehman and husband Quintin of Versailles, MO; 27 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in Cemetery near Versailles. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday January 3, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials are suggested to the Cornerstone Church or Gideons Auxiliary. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Leslie Thomas Moore
Leslie Thomas Moore, age 95, of Laurie, born May 25, 1907 in Carver, Missouri on Lake Road 135-3, the son of William B. and Adella Sutton Moore. In 1931 he was united in marriage to Nona Purvis who resides in Laurie, Missouri. Mr. Moore was a life long resident of Morgan and Camden Counties, and retired from Moore’s Lumber in Laurie which he owned and operated from 1951 to 1991. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II serving on the USS Iowa. He was a charter member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church and served on the board of trustees for many years. He was a member of the Versailles American Legion Post #104 for 50 years before transferring to American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 in Sunrise Beach two years ago, and was a life time member of Gravois Mills V.F.W. Post #5902. He is survived by his wife, Nona Moore of the home; one daughter, Mary Ann Terry and husband, Donald of Laurie, MO; two sons, Tom Moore and wife, Sharon of Sunrise Beach, MO, and George Moore and wife, Sherry of Moberly, MO; two sisters, Fay Williams of Gravois Mills, MO, and Linnie Waisner of Versailles, MO; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and expecting a great-great-grandchild next month, many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in Cemetery in Laurie. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
Ann G. Gabriel
Ann G. Gabriel, age 80, of Versailles, born May 29, 1922 near Versailles, Missouri, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude Friedley Bohling. She was united in marriage on November 17, 1946 with William H. “Bill” Gabriel, who preceded her in Cemetery with Reverend Leslie Howard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Vonita Breedlove
Vonita Breedlove, age 68, of Columbia, formerly of Sunrise Beach, born May 15, 1934 in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Von and Frieda Knoblock Wright. She was united in marriage on November 14, 1952 with Nim Breedlove. Mrs. Breedlove was a retired mail clerk for Shelter Insurance in Columbia. She is survived by her husband, Nim Breedlove of the home; one daughter, Glenda Bell and husband, Mike of Columbia; one granddaughter, Kimberly Brinkman of Columbia; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Brinkman, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in Cemetery in Laurie. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
Anna Rea Clark
Anna Rea Clark, age 93, of Versailles, formerly of Colorado Springs, born August 17, 1909 in Ralston, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dr. L.C. and Betty DeHart Barber. She was united in marriage on November 16, 1928 with Orrin L. Clark of Cushing, Oklahoma, who preceded her in interment were 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 27, 2002 at Evergreen passed away Wednesday morning, January 1, 2003 at Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia. He was death by his father, Gordon Brownfield and a sister, Sheri Lyn Brownfield Butler. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2002 at the Kidwell Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Jeff Cochran officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2002 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home near LaMonte. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
