Oscar “O.L.” McGinnis
Oscar “O.L.” McGinnis, age 74, of Barnett, born July 30, 1933, in Versailles, the son of the late David N. and Rozella Walters McGinnis. He was united in marriage on January 30, 1951, in Barnett, Missouri, with Edna E. Shockley. O.L. retired in February of 1997, after 21 years of service from Fasco Industries in Eldon. He attended the Family Worship Center in Versailles and also attended the New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett. He is survived by his wife, Edna of the home; one son, Michael McGinnis of Mooresville, Indiana; three daughters, Deborah Silvey and Patricia McGinnis both of Barnett, and Rose Utter of Raytown, Missouri; two foster children, Gloria Zeller and Bill Demore both of North Kansas City, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth McGinnis of Gravois Mills; one sister, Melva Vogt of Versailles; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in Interment will be held in the Hopewell passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was death by one daughter. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton with Monsignor Raphael Keyes officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Laurie Care Center. She was passed away on the 22nd of October in 1993. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Goodland, Kansas. In 2000 she moved to the Laurie Knoll in Laurie, Missouri to be closer to her family and later became a member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. She is survived by one son, Roland Isernhagen and wife Connie, of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter, Joyce Wanamaker and husband Chuck, of Gravois Mills, Missouri; one sister, Helen Polk, of Lindsborg, Kansas; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kent Memorial Lutheran Church of Sunrise Beach or Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Goodland, Kansas. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel. (573) 374-7688
Norman Donald “Norm” Holland
Norman Donald “Norm” Holland, 90, of Barnett, MO, born near Elkhart, Iowa on March 22, 1917, the youngest child of Anthony Wayne Holland, Jr. and Zoa Melvet (Stakey). In 1938 Norm started as a stock clerk with Addressograph-Muiltigraph Corp in Des Moines, IA. On December 22, 1940 he interment will be in the Versailles passed away Monday, January 28, 2008, at his home. He was Interment with full military honors will be held in the Garber Memorial Estates passed away Tuesday morning, January 29, 2008 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was married April 18, 1942, to Henrietta Miller of Fowlerville, Michigan. Nelson owned and operated a dairy processing business in Mason, Michigan for 15 years. He farmed in Michigan until 1967, at which time he and his family moved to Versailles. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Henrietta Rouse of the home; one son, George Rouse and wife Mary Ann, of Versailles; two daughters, Deitra McClain and husband Jack, of Kirksville, MO, and Brenda Mersinger-Klein and husband Larry, of Troy, IL; five grandchildren, Jana Rouse-Shannon and husband Andy, Jennifer Rouse, Kristi Steinmann and husband Sean, Kathryn Miley, and Nicholas Mersinger; one great granddaughter, Addison Davis, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles or the American Heart Association in honor of Nelson Rouse. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
Frederick James Adrian
Frederick James Adrian, age90, of Versailles, born January 15, 1918, in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, the son of Gerhardt and Emma Harsch Adrian. He was united in marriage with Myrtle Resten on June 20, 1940, and she preceded him in death. A memorial service and inurnment in Hopewell Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
