Kenneth Kelly Loehr

Kenneth Kelly Loehr, 41, Raymore, formerly of Harrisonville, died Monday, May 1, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
He was born Dec. 20, 1958, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Kenneth Harold and Billie Jean (Lilley) Loehr.
Mr. Loehr was a 1977 graduate of Harrisonville High School. He lived in Harrisonville from 1961 until 1992 when he moved to Raymore.
He was a life insurance agent and worked for Waddell and Reed. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Raymore.
Surviving are a brother, Joe Wesley Loehr, Kansas City; and two sisters, Becky Cage and Leiann Faught, both of Harrisonville.
A memorial service was Wednesday, May 3, at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Don Wiltfong of the First Christian Church, Harrisonville, officiating.
Cremation.

John Robert Poisal
Feb. 8, 1917 - May 2, 2000
John Robert Poisal, 83, Creighton, died Tuesday, May 2, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1917, near Garden City, the son of James Alvin and Wally Emma (Ulbrich) Poisal.
On Oct. 22, 1937, he married Margaret Marie McVicker in Warsaw.
Mr. Poisal was a farmer and stockman. He lived in Idaho for eight years and had worked in an orchard before returning to Missouri in 1946.
He joined the South Methodist Church in Garden City. He attended Schyler rural school and Garden City High School.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Poisal and Donald Poisal; three half brothers, Dan, George and Alvin; and a half sister, Alice.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Poisal, of the home; a son, Kenneth Poisal; a sister, Bettie Hampton, Garden City; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Dennis Hampton, Robert Mandl, Alvin Poisal, Kenneth L. Poisal Jr., Melvin Lee Poisal and Virgil Poisal.
Graveside services and burial were Wednesday, May 3, at the Garden City Cemetery with the Rev. John Kukovich officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the America Heart Association.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.
Eunice E. Hickam Schlotzhauer
March 18, 1910 - April 27, 2000
Eunice E. (Hickam) Schlotzhauer, 90, Kansas City, formerly a longtime resident of the Quick City and Holden area, died Thursday, April 27.
She was born March 18, 1910, in Gooch's Mill, the daughter of Joe T. and Ethel (Eager) Hickam.
Mrs. Schlotzhauer was raised in Boonville and graduated from Boonville High School in 1928.
In 1930, she married Virgil A. Schlotzhauer.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Raytown, was a founding member of the Raytown Garden Club and was active in Scouting.
Mrs. Schlotzhauer was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Schlotzhauer; two brothers; four sisters; and a grandson.
Surviving are four sons, Lowell Schlotzhauer, Jerico Springs, Aubrey Schlotzhauer, Pilot Grove, Jim Schlotzhauer, Warsaw, and Barry Schlotzhauer, Kansas City; a brother, A. Wayne Hickam, Jefferson City; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary casketbearers were Donna Waterhouse, Diane Schlotzhauer, Sheryl Wood, Steven Schlotzhauer, Lori Schlotzhauer, C. Jane Vance, Chris Schlotzhauer, Joe Schlotzhauer and Jeff Schlotzhauer.
Casketbearers were Tom Wood, Bryan Schlotzhauer, Gary Schlotzhauer, Allen Schlotzhauer, Bo Schlotzhauer and James Schlotzhauer.
Services were Sunday, April 30, at the Pleasant Green Methodist Church with the Rev. Susan Hickam McHugh officiating. Mary Dillner was the pianist and Joy Dillner and Miles Wolf were the vocalists.
Burial was in the Pleasant Green Cemetery under the direction of CSKC Assured Care Funeral.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pleasant Green Church or the Pleasant Green Cemetery.
Sandra D. Taylor

Sandra Dowell Taylor, 56, Creighton, died Sunday, April 30, at her home.
She was born Oct. 3, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Benjamin and Martha (Livengood) Hunt.
Mrs. Taylor was employed as a network control center coordinator for Sprint in Gardner, Kan., until her retirement in 1993.
She had lived in Belton and Harrisonville before moving to Creighton.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Hunt.
Surviving are two sons, Cary T. Brown and Tim J. Brown, both of Garden City; a daughter, Shellie A. Brown, Grandview; her mother, Martha Hunt, Lee's Summit; two brothers, Benjamin Hunt, Grand Island, Neb., and Terry Hunt, Lee's Summit; a sister, Judy Cornell, Overland Park, Kan., and nine grandchildren.
Cremation.
Memorial services were Thursday, May 4, at the First Baptist Church, Garden City, with Pastor Jeff Funderburk officiating. Amanda Brown and DeWayne Phillips were the soloists and Kristi Cunningham as pianist.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Garden City Memorial Fund.

Grace E. Wagner
Oct. 28, 1909 - April 29, 2000
Grace Edna Wagner, 90, East Lynne, died Saturday, April 29, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Oct. 28, 1909, in Wheatland, the daughter of Hezekiah McPherson and Barbara (Mosser) Smith.
On Oct. 29, 1927, she married Charles Fern Wagner near Gunn City.
Mrs. Wagner was a switchboard operator for Clearfork Telephone Co. from 1950 until 1954, as a clerk for the East Lynne Country Store and in the cafeteria for the East Lynne Elementary School. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the East Lynne Assembly of God Church and a lifelong resident of the East Lynne area.
Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her husband, Fern Wagner, on Sept. 14, 1971; a daughter, Dorothy Wagner, in 1953; five brothers, Joe Wagner, Ed Wagner, Tom Wagner, Bill Wagner and Earl Wagner; and an infant sister, Christina Wagner.
Surviving are a son, Gene Wagner, El Dorado Springs; two daughters, Barbara M. Ball, Warrenton, Va., and Peggy Burton, Harrisonville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary casketbearers were Harold Burton and Ralph Hartzler.
Casketbearers were John Call, David Carnes, Ralph Carnes, Bob King, Frank Trainer and John Trainer.
Services were Tuesday, May 2, at East Lynne Assembly of God Church, East Lynne, with the Rev. Clifford Woolery officiating. Music was provided by Donna and Lyndsay Woolery.
Burial was in the Clearfork Cemetery near Garden City under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church memorial fund.
Herman C. Wright
Feb. 8, 1921 - April 30, 2000
Herman C. Wright, 79, Braymer, formerly of Archie, died Sunday, April 30, at the V.A. Medical Center Kansas City.
He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in St. Clair County, Lowry City, the son of John Grover and Susie Anna (Parks) Wright.
On Dec. 20, 1941, he married Mildred L. Shipley.
Mr. Wright owned and operated a chicken hatchery and a clothing store in Archie. He was also a carpenter.
He was a World War II Army veteran and was awarded the purple heart and a bronze star.
Mr. Wright was a member of the United Methodist Church in Archie and the American Legion. He had served as mayor of Archie and was a member of the Archie School Board prior to his retirement in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Wright, of the home; two daughters, Kay Hayworth, Olathe, Kan., and Ronda Prewitt, Braymer; a sister, Jewell Harvey, Kansas City; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Casketbearers were Brett Prewitt, Steve Osborn, Mike Swigart, David Shipley, Jim Shipley, John-Paul Hayworth and Spencer Prewitt.
Graveside services were Thursday, May 4, at the Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, with the Rev. Travis James of the United Methodist Church, Archie, officiating.
Military honors were under the auspices of the Harrisonville Color Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Archie.
