She was born Dec. 16, 1969, in Savannah, Ga., the daughter of Jim and Linda Pope.
Surviving are her husband, Sean Galloway, a daughter, Peyton Galloway, her parents, Jim and Linda Pope and a sister, Jennifer Pope, all of Kansas City; her paternal grandmother, Earline Pope, Lathrop; her maternal grandmother, Betty Iraschko, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and her father and mother-in-law, Sherman and Betty Galloway, Peculiar.
Services were May 20 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Peyton Galloway for her future education.
Katy Page Gough
Katy Page Gough, 95, Garden City, died May 20, 2002, at Golden Years in Harrisonville.
Funeral services were May 23 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.
Burial was in the Grant Cemetery, Creighton, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Friendship Meals in Garden City.
Genevieve E. Hanson

Genevieve 'Eve' Elizabeth Hanson, 3-month-old daughter of Shane and Jennifer M. (Albright) Hanson died May 20, 2002, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Jan. 26, 2002, in Kansas City.
Surviving are her parents and a brother, Samuel Hanson, all of the home; Her paternal grandparents, Stephen and Shirley Hanson, Harrisonville; her paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Burns, Overland Park, Kan., her maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Vicki and Charles Sisson, Harrisonville, her maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, David and Jane Albright, Kansas City; her maternal great-grandfather, Conrad VanCamp, Harrisonville; and maternal great-grandparents, Wayne and Mildred Albright, Raytown.
A memorial visitation was May 22 at the Atkinson Chapel.
Cremation.
Arrangement were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Gregory S. Hill
Feb. 15, 1960 - May 12, 2002
Gregory S. Hill, 42, Olathe, Kan., died May 12, 2002, in an automobile accident in Topeka, Kan.
He was born Feb. 15, 1960, in Overland Park, the son of Jack and Alice Hill.
Mr. Hill was a Farmer's Insurance agent and owner of Hill Insurance Company. Prior to being an agent, Hill practiced law in both Kansas and Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Hill; four children, Kaitlyn, Shawn, Maggie and Jack Hill; his parents, Jack and Alice Hill; two sisters, Kathy Tarbutton, and Suzy Carter; and a brother, Kevin Hill.
The funeral mass was Monday, May 20, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church of Olathe.
Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery of Lenexa, Kan., under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Olathe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gregory S. Hill Memorial Funds at the First National Bank of Olathe, 444 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, KS 66061 or at Commerce Bank & Trust, 3035 S.W. Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 6611. The memorials will be used as a trust fund for his children.
John J. Masoner
July 5, 1930 - May 13, 2002
John Junior Masoner, 71, Creighton, died May 13, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1930, at Freeman, the son of John B. and Alice Fay (Prettyman) Masoner.
On Sept. 15, 1968, he married Frances Audrey Sieker in Creighton.
Mr. Masoner and his wife owned and operated Masoner's United Super Grocery Store in Garden City from 1962 until 1997.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Creighton and the American Legion Post 498, Garden City. He attended the First Baptist Church in Garden City. He was a lifetime resident of Cass County.
Mr. Masoner was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, William Masoner and Elmer Masoner; and four sisters, Edna Coleman, Ruth Shineman, Sue Heard and Helen Masoner.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Audrey Masoner, of the home; a daughter, Audrey Faye Bateman, Independence; and a brother, Paul Masoner, Weableau.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Dickey, Johnny Pulliam, Richard Riffle, Luke Scavuzzo, John D. Schrock, Bob Schumacher, Daryl Sloan and Jim Welborn.
Pallbearers were Evan Bateman, Sam Fuller, Brad Jones, Jim Kenagy, Jerry McCulloh, Steve Riffle, Jim Sieker and Michael Smith.
Services were May 17 at the First Baptist Church, Garden City, with The Rev. George Quillen officiating. Calvin Yoder and Gwen Meeks were the soloists and Helen Kenney was the pianist.
Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with military honors under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Garden City Cemetery or the American Legion Post 498, Garden City.
Edward L. Powers
Jan. 29, 1918 - May 19, 2002
Edward Lee Powers, 84, Harrisonville, died May 19, 2002, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
He was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Springfield, Ill., the son of William A. and Edith (Hurst) Powers.
On May 27, 1976, he married Lucille Worel in Harrisonville.
Mr. Powers retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1962. He was a cook and technical sergeant and served his country during World War II and the Korean War.
He lived in Kansas City several years before moving to Cass County. He was baptized at the Baptist Church in Springfield, Ill. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Powers, of the home; a daughter, Carol Stafford, Harrisonville; and a grandson.
Pallbearers were Blake Mills, Von Stafford, David Chilson, Terry Smith, Steven Shipley and Terry Hoenshell.
Services were May 22 at the Atkinson Chapel with the Rev. Andy Smart officiating.
Burial was in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Eugene F. Tierney
July 21, 1929 - May 20, 2002
Eugene Frances Tierney, 72, Pleasant Hill, died Monday, May 20, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City.
He was born July 21, 1929, in Kansas City, the son of Richard John Sr. and Catherine Joyce Tierney.
Mr. Tierney graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary, Lillis High School in 1947 and attended Rockhurst College.
He served in the U.S. Army's 5th AAA Battalion from 1951 through 1953.
On Feb. 18, 1956, he married Lucille Batman.
Mr. Tierney was active in farming for nearly 45 years and owned and operated a grain elevator in Grain Valley. Later he farmed near Harrisonville.
He was a member of VFW Post 4409 and Stanley Pack Post 0499 of the American Legion. He was also a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Puetz Council 6550 in Harrisonville.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, Richard Tierney Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Tierney, Pleasant Hill; three sons, John, Daniel and Christopher; three daughters, Jane Pohlod, Ann Kirk and Susan Barr; a brother, James E. Tierney; three sisters, Marie Winkler, Patricia Gregg and Kathleen Tierney; and two grandchildren.
The funeral mass was May 24 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lee's Summit.
Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of the Langsford Funeral Home, Lee's Summit.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eugene F. Tierney Endowment Trust Fund for Catholic Education.
John T. White
March 18, 1931 - May 14, 2002
John Thomas White, 71, Harrisonville, died May 14, 2002, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
He was born March 18, 1931, in West Monroe, La., the son of Jim and Elizabeth Maye (Frazier) White.
Mr. White had lived in West Monroe and Amarillo, Texas, before moving to Harrisonville in 1968.
In 1956, he married Anna Martha Herrman in Lawton, Okla.
He was a Korean War Army veteran. He had worked for Consolidated Freightways for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was a former member of Local 41 of the Teamsters.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Anna White, Nov. 12, 1992; and four brothers, Melvin, Herman, Thelbert, J.B.
Surviving are two sons, Johnnie White and Tommy White, both of Harrisonville; four brothers, Ray White, Vicksburg, Miss., Henry White, Huntsville, Ark., Benny White, Bosco, La., and Wayne White, Junction City, Kan.; and a sister, Lillian Cochrell, Bastrop, La.
Cremation.
Services were May 20 at the Atkinson Chapel with the Rev. Henry Green officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
