HARRY E. “TINGER” CONSTABLE
Harry E. “Tinger” Constable, 71, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004, at his home.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Tinger was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Lee’s Summit, and was a lifelong resident.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Constable, of the home; three brothers; and three sisters.

LEROY TRUSCHKE
Leroy Truschke, 88, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Lee’s Summit Hospital.
Memorial Mass services were 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Lee’s Summit.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Truschke; three children; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

FRANK A. CARR
Frank A. Carr, 79, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City, Mo.; burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to services, at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church of Greenwood or Odyssey Hospice.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, and was an Army veteran.
Frank was preceded in death by his son, Richard Carr; and twin daughters, Karen and Carol Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Carr; sons, Mike Carr and wife, Gail, and Ron Carr; brother, Ted Carr; sisters, Mary Lou Horman and Patricia Hardy; and mother, Maudie Carr.
OLIVER C. “BOB” ROBERTS
Oliver C. “Bob” Roberts, 72, of Linn, Mo., died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Mo.
A Masonic service was conducted Saturday, March 27, at Morton Funeral Home in Linn; private graveside services with military honors were held on Sunday, March 28, at Pointers Creek Cemetery, Osage County, Mo.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Linn Masonic Lodge Charity Fund, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born May 8, 1931, in Powell County, Ky., the son of Hiram and Beulah (Hollan) Roberts.
He married Linda “Lou” Monroe on Feb. 19, 1966, in Nowata, Okla.
Mr. Roberts served with the 1st Marine Division in Korea, and also served with the U.S. Army, the Air Force Reserve and the Missouri National Guard.
He had been employed with Jefferson City Police Department prior to his employment with Lee’s Summit Police Department, where he eventually became the Chief of Police.
He later retired from Brinks Security.
He was a member of VFW in Harrisonville; member and past master of Linn Masonic Lodge #326; and a member and past president of Missouri Police Chiefs Association.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Linda “Lou” Roberts; two sons, David Roberts and his fiancee, Amanda Ashmore, Linn, and Drew Bailey and wife, Sue, Pontoon Beach, Ill.; two daughters, Rita Sue Sanderson and husband, Doug, Springfield, Mo., and Sarah Jo Mealy and husband, Kent, Jefferson City; one sister, Athalene Genge, Spooner, Wis.; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Stan Dick
John Stanley (Stan) Dick, 54, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home.
He was born on May 27, 1959, a son of Kenneth and Marva Lee (Robinson) Dick of Sedalia.
He was a 1978 graduate of Smith Cotton High School.
Stan enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping, watching Cardinal baseball and playing with his grandson.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 124 and was employed by Citadel Electric Group, Inc. of Oak Grove as a General Field Foreman.
In addition to his father he is survived by two children, Brian Dick of Sedalia and Brittany Merrick of Los Angeles, CA; one grandson, Emry Dick of Sedalia, two sisters, Terri Maple and husband Mike of Sedalia and Tracy Straka and husband Bill of Blue Springs; two brothers, Larry Ellis of Boone, NC and Scott Dick and wife Kerry, of Los Alamos, NM, and his special companion, Cindy Bachov of Sedalia.
Stan will be dearly missed by his family and many close friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sedalia, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Department of Conservation or charity of donor’s choice in care of the funeral chapel.
JOYCE V. MERRILL
Funeral rites for Joyce V. Merrill, 72, of Burleson, Texas, were March 20, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas; burial was in Granbury Cemetery.
The native of Tolar, Texas died Wednesday, March 17, 2004.
She was born there on March 12, 1932, to John and Clara (Jones) Collier.
She and Gene Merrill married in June 1950, in Weatherford, Texas.
She was a member of Cross Timbers Baptist Church. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge of Lee’s Summit.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, J.W., Tommy and Glen; and a sister, Rose Ritchey.
Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn Merrill-Denker and husband, Dave, Willow Park, Texas; a son, Terry Merrill and wife, Cindy, Odessa, Mo.; sisters, Loyce Owen, Burleson, and Glenda Juran, Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces an nephews.
GORDON FRANKLIN SIMS
Gordon Franklin Sims, 67, of Lee’s Summit, passed away March 3, 2004.
Memorial services were March 20, at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church.

Virginia M. Gardner, 88, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Friday, March 19, 2004, at Jefferson Health Care.

Virginia was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Holden, Mo., to Clyde and Macie (Haggard) Briscoe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. “Red” Gardner.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Charles R. Gardner, Robert D. Gardner, Richard W. Gardner and Virginia L. Gardner, all of Lee’s Summit; three grandchildren, Erin Gardner, Scott Gardner and Kristin Derks; and one sister, Ruth Drennon, Holden.
