Wilbur D. Pollard, 71, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Lee’s Summit Hospital.
Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church; burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Pollard was born Dec. 21, 1932, in Kansas City, Kan.
He was owner and operator of Summit Lanes Bowling Center in Lee’s Summit for 35 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Pollard is survived by his wife, Patricia Pollard, of the home; daughter, Joli Pollard, Lee’s Summit; son, Patrick Pollard and wife, Debbie, Overland Park, Kan.; mother, Ila Pollard, John Knox Village; brother, Melvin Pollard, Hiawatha, Kan.; and grandchildren, Jamie Brandt, Sean Brandt, Aaron Pollard and Jason Pollard.

ANNE MARIE WAGNER
Anne Marie Wagner, 86, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Jan. 23, 2004, at Village Care Center, from heart failure.
Memorial services were at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church.
Anne was born July 15, 1917, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was a teacher, missionary and social worker.
She was a former parishioner of Saint Leo’s Catholic Church on the north side of Pittsburgh.
For the last two years she had lived with her sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Lauer, in Lee’s Summit.
She is survived by her sisters, Sister Helen Wagner, OSF, Pittsburgh, and Elizabeth Lauer, Lee’s Summit.

JOHN RICHARD “JACK” FETTE
John Richard “Jack” Fette, 79, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Research Medical Center.
Mass services are at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 N.W. Murray Road, Lee’s Summit; burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at Langsford Funeral Home, with a rosary following at 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Jack was born July 14, 1925, in Parsons, Kan.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a professional baseball umpire and refereed in the NFL for 23 years, working five Super Bowls.
He was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in February 2003.
He worked for Wilson’s Sporting Goods for more than 30 years.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Cecile Fette, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Julie Fette, Liberty, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Folsom, Chad Fette and Jessica Brandmeyer; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Fette, Washington; one niece, Linda Brock; and two nephews, David and Danny Fette.

JUSTIN DOMINIC FAUST
Justin Dominic Faust, age 9, returned to his Father in heaven on Nov. 24, 2004, at Children’s Mercy Hospital, from injuries sustained during an accident. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 29, at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church; burial in Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Justin Faust Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of America in Lee’s Summit.
Justin was born Dec. 13, 1994, in Kansas City, Mo., the beloved son of Gordie and Vicki Faust.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, Jordan and Jesse; grandparents, Gordon and Julia Faust, Strawberry Point, Iowa, and John and Emma Nelson, Urbandale, Iowa; aunts; uncles; cousins; friends; and classmates of Highland Park Elementary School.
Justin was the definition of a boy. He loved to fish and catch frogs and all other critters that swim, crawl and slither. He was a gentle, loving soul, always ready to laugh, smile and have a good time.
Our lives were richly blessed by his short earthly presence, and while we miss him more than words can express, we are comforted by the fact that heaven has a new angel.

ROBERT G. “BOB” ALLISON
Robert G. “Bob” Allison, 87, of Lake Lotawana, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Woodbine Health Center, Gladstone, Mo.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Langsford Funeral Home; burial in Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Bob was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Kansas City, Kan.
He was a baker for A&P; Bakery, and owned and operated his television repair business.
He was the fire chief of Lake Lotawana from 1975 until 1994.
Bob gave more than 200 pints of blood for others during his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Allison.
Bob is survived by three children, Anita, Carl and David; eight grandchildren; and one sister, living in California.

MADISON KAYE MOORHOUSE
Madison Kaye Moorhouse, 16, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004.
She was a junior at Lee’s Summit North High School.
How do you put beauty, light and joy in black and white?
Madison was a gifted child who loved life and loved spending time with her friends and family.
She was a varsity swimmer, outstanding debater and a caring big sister to Gracen and Jordan.
Madison brought joy to everything she did and everything she touched.
She had the rare gift of being able to simply light up a room with her smile and big, beautiful blue eyes.
Her quick wit and laughter were contagious enough to fill a room, yet her compassion for others knew no bounds.
Madison lived life to the fullest with a whirlwind of energy and abundance of style and grace.
Madison leaves behind a loving family, her father and mother, Scott and Kelly; and two amazing sisters, Gracen and Jordan.
She was blessed with a large family of aunts and uncles: Mark and Angela Moorhouse, Randy and Karen Stalker, Mark Stalker, and Carrie and John Moore.
She will also be greatly missed by her wonderful grandparents, Ron and Jackie Stalker, and Pat and Bob Moorhouse; and her numerous cousins. Everyone who knew her will be blessed by her presence in their lives forever.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church; burial in Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday evening, Dec. 16, at Langsford Funeral Home.

Judd Christopher Flanders, 29, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden, Mo.; burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be Seth Raab, Scott Blair, Scott Simmons, John Loyd, Curt Harold, David Flanders, Steve Flanders and Tim Fleener.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, National Transplant Association Fund, Children’s Mercy Hospital, or Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Judd was born Friday, June 27, 1975, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Daniel Lee Flanders and Audrey Lynne (Harold) Flanders.
He graduated from Kansas University in 2001 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
He was most recently managing a Quik Trip store in Kansas City, Mo.
He married Stacey McMillen on Dec. 4, 2004.
Judd enjoyed playing pool at Rack’s Billiards in Lee’s Summit, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and Kansas University Jayhawks fan.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey Flanders; mother and step-father, Audrey and Scott Simmons, Centerview, Mo.; father and step-mother, Dan and Sandy Flanders, Lee’s Summit; paternal grandmother, Rita Flanders, Lee’s Summit; maternal grandparents, Dexter and Mary Harold, Huntsville, Mo.; sister, Lori, Nevada, Mo.; two brothers, Curt, Lee’s Summit, and Michael, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; two nephews; three nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

MADELINE R. BALLANTYNE
Madeline R. Ballantyne, 93, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Lee’s Summit Hospital.
Graveside services are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Floral Hills East Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Speaks Suburban Chapel.
Donations may be made to Lee’s Summit Community of Christ Church.
Madeline was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Eagleville, Iowa, to Charles H. and Nelle (Pearson) Rogers.
She graduated from Eagleville High School in 1930, and from Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, in 1932.
In 1937, she received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, and was elected to Pi Gamma Mu and and Pi Beta Phi sororities.
She married J. Dean Ballantyne, of Lamoni, on Jan. 8, 1944; he died in 1994.
She later attended the University of Wisconsin Graduate School and received a master’s degree in library science in 1966.
She taught in the public schools of northern Missouri and southern Iowa for more than 20 years, and in 1966, she joined the Graceland College faculty as a professional librarian and assistant professor of English.
She was appointed head librarian in 1972.
Madeline was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
After retiring in 1976, she and Dean moved to John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit in 1977.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
