Rodney D. Minniear, 62, was born in Kansas City on May 4, 1943. He was a 1961 graduate of Center High School and a 1969 graduate of the University of Missouri.

In 1994, he became regional sales manager for Krex, Inc., and assisted his wife with her business, Valerie’s Bridal Inc.
Rod loved to go fishing, read about the Civil War, play bridge, "and talk politics." He enjoyed the Royals, and college hoops (MU). He adored his wife and four children. Rod fought a valiant seven-year battle with ALS, and was an inspiration to many.
The week before his death, he confessed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord which was an answer to many prayers and assured us we will be reunited with him in the Resurrection. He will be missed, but his suffering is over.
