Cloa Hanway
1936-1999
Cloa "Eileen" (Trivelpiece) Hanway, 63, St. Joseph, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999 at her home.
Mrs. Hanway worked as a registered nurse for St. Joseph Hospital and Dr. Rost's office, both of St. Joseph, until retiring in 1963. She also baked and decorated cakes for Cakes by Cloa.
Born Oct. 31, 1936, in Hamburg, Iowa, she had lived in St. Joseph since 1954. She was a graduate of Hamburg High School and received nurse's training through St. Joseph Hospital.
Mrs. Hanway was a member of St. Joseph's Cathedral, Sparta Homemakers Club and Willowbrook Community Club.
On Dec. 28, 1963, she married Donald J. Hanway in St. Joseph. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Hanway was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Leta Trivelpiece.
Additional survivors: three daughters, Patricia Hollers and Mary Vette, both of St. Joseph, and Donna Kline, Faucett, Mo.; a brother, Charles Trivelpiece, Hamburg; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial: 1 p.m. Monday, St. Joseph's Cathedral. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation: after 2 p.m. today, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Bobbie Mallory

Bobbie Mallory, 80, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mr. Mallory retired from the St. Joseph Light & Power Co. as an operating engineer. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in DeKalb, Mo.
Mr. Mallory was a member of the Christian faith. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 359 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6760.
On April 13, 1939, he married Cecil Conard. She survives of the home.
Mr. Mallory was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sally; and a brother, Ray.
Additional survivors: a daughter, Rita Joyner, Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Steven, Troy, Kan.; three sisters, Charlotte Whorten, St. Joseph, Margaret Shelton, Rushville, Mo., and Letha Martin, Atchison, Kan.; two grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

Lolita E. Millemon

TRENTON, Mo. -- Lolita Ellen Millemon, 91, Trenton, formerly of Princeton, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at a Trenton hospital.
Ms. Millemon was a farmer in Mercer County, raising cattle.
Born Aug. 4, 1908, on a farm between Ravanna and Mercer, Mo., she was a graduate of Princeton High School.
Ms. Millemon was a member of Princeton First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Arminta.
Surviving: a sister, Theodora Stocklos, Princeton.
Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel, Princeton. Burial: Princeton Cemetery. Visitation: after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Marion E. Mitchell
1918-1999
Marion E. (Karohl) Mitchell, 81, St. Joseph, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mrs. Mitchell worked for St. Joseph Trunk Co. and had co-owned Willy's Self-Service, a hardware store in St. Joseph, with her husband.
Born Oct. 20, 1918, in St. Joseph, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Zion United Church of Christ; Ideal Study Club; Moila Auxiliary; Radiant Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Anthony M. Club; City Federation of Clubs; Swiss Pairs and Squares Dance Club; Promenaders; Calico Kickers; and the Sodance Club.
On May 10, 1941, she married William F. Mitchell in St. Joseph. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Karohl; a brother, Ernest Karohl; and a sister, Emily Miller.
Additional survivors: a brother, Edward Karohl, Omaha, Neb.

UTICA, Mo. -- Deborah Ann Schneiter, 40, Utica, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, as the result of an auto accident near Dawn, Mo.
Ms. Schneiter was born May 15, 1959, in Fairfield, Calif. She was a graduate of Versailles High School in 1977 and moved to the Chillicothe, Mo., area in 1979.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ray Rupe; and her paternal grandfather, Vernon Lisenby.
Surviving: a son, Travis L, Utica; two daughters, Jessica R. Pilcher and Ashley N. Schneiter, both of Utica; her parents, Gerald L. and Vera R. Lisenby; two brothers, Rodney W. and Terry L. Lisenby, both of Gravois Mills, Mo.

J. Maurine Wattenbarger

J. Maurine Wattenbarger, 86, St. Joseph, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at a local hospital.
Born Sept. 2, 1913, in Milan, Mo., she lived in St. Joseph most of her life.
Mrs. Wattenbarger was a member of Bethel Foursquare Church, St. Joseph, where she taught Sunday school.
On June 15, 1929, she married Claude G. Wattenbarger. He died in 1979.
Mrs. Wattenbarger also was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia M.; her father James Courtney; and her mother, Othal Decker.
Surviving: two daughters, Geraldine M. Parrish, Compton, Calif., and Linda F. Ellis, St. Joseph; four sons, Claude E., Jack D., and David R., all of St. Joseph, and Paul C., Kansas City; two brothers, Frank and Ralph Hughes, both of Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Catherine L. Cook
1916-1998
HOLT, Mo. -- Catherine L. (Rush) Cook, 82, Holt, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at a hospital in Liberty, Mo.
Born Jan. 22, 1916, in Harris, Mo., Mrs. Cook lived in Holt for the past four years. She was a member of the Northern Hills Baptist Church, near Holt.
On Sept. 14, 1934, she married Raileigh B. Cook in Trenton, Mo. They farmed in the Wintersville community, near Harris, until moving to Kansas City in 1952. After he retired, they moved to Kearney in 1979. He died in 1990.
Mrs. Cook also was preceded in death by her parents, Burl M. and Icie P. Rush.
Surviving: two daughters, Linda Chandler and Libby Brown, both of Holt; a brother, Edward L. Rush, Aurora, Colo.; five sisters, Garnet Carrell, Dollie Barbour and Joann Cochran, all of Aurora, Mildred Santos, Napa, Calif., and Judy Wright, Boulder City, Nev.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
