Harlan J. Funk
Harlan J. Funk, 94, formerly of Albany, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Funk was born Nov. 14, 1910, in New Hampton. He lived on a farm outside of New Hampton for most of his life before retiring in Albany. The last two years he lived with his son and family in Kansas City.
He was a member of the New Hampton United Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board and the board of trustees.
On Jan. 24, 1934, he married Alice Forbis. She preceded him in death on sept. 4, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Ethel (Ogburn) Funk and his brother, Harry Funk.
He leaves his son James and wife, Cris, Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren; a step-grandchild, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 5, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.

Archie C. McCoy
Archie Curtis McCoy, 92, Lamar, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Truman Healthcare, Lamar.
Mr. McCoy was born May 16, 1913, near Bethany to Jordan C. and Mary (Dyche) McCoy. On Dec. 31, 1933, he married Evalee B. Bolar in Bethany. His career in dry cleaning was interrupted during World War II when he went to work for North American Aviation. He returned to dry cleaning in Parkville, Mo., after the war.
He was a member of the Compass Masonic Lodge 120 in Parkville for more than 50 years and was a former member of the Parkville Rotary Club. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jim Byington, Chesterfield, Mo.; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Wanda McCoy, Lamar; seven grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Five brothers preceded him in death.
No services are planned. Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Hazel Wilson
Hazel Wilson, 88, Denver, Colo., formerly of Gilman City, Mo., and Wichita, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005.
Mrs. Wilson was born August 25, 1917, in Mt. Moriah, Mo., the daughter of Otis and Rhue Ann (Wooderson) Sallee. She was married to Verl Wilson who preceded her in death.
She was a teacher and a retired secretary with the Kansas Department of Social Services.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Norris and Helen Ebersole.
She leaves a daughter, Linda Small, and husband, Larry, Centennial, Colo.; two granddaughters, Joanna, Williston, N.D., and Jacqueline, Centennial; a brother-in-law, Neil Norris, Bethany and extended family members Kevin and Beverly Gibson and their four daughters of Wichita.
Graveside services and burial were Sunday at the Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City.

Dolan R. Judd
Dolan R. Judd, 101, of Bethany, Mo., died Saturday at a local nursing home.
Born May 1, 1904, in Brooklyn, Mo., Mrs. Judd was a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Brooklyn Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; daughter, Beverly Claypool; parents, Oscar and Lou Dosa (Drury) Buntin; brothers, Carl and Leland, and sisters, Deva and Lorene.
She leaves three daughters, Phylus Dale, Bethany, Dorothy Thomas, Cainsville, Mo., and Betty Laughlin, Arabi, La.; son, Neil, Sedan, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; seven great, great grandchildren; step grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, Mo.

Shaun M. Mills
Shaun Matthew Mills, 17, of Bethany, Mo., died Sunday, August 28, 2005.
Shaun was born June 14, 1988 in Maryville. He was a junior at South Harrison High School, Bethany. He was a member of the Faith Christian Community Church, Bethany.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Betty and Jackie Wynne, Bethany; father, Orville Mills; brothers, Ryan Mills and Jeff Ruff, Bethany; sister, Debra Schumacher, Ravenwood; great aunt, Georgia Shuey, Bethany; aunt, Linda Koch, Moberly; and uncles, Jim Giggar, Bob Giggar, George Giggar, John Giggar, Stephen Giggar, and Charlie Giggar.
Services were 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Bethany Memorial Chapel, Reverend Olin Slaughter officiating. Burial was in the Miriam Cemetery.
Letha E. Mullins
Letha E. Mullins, 89, formerly of Mt. Moriah, Mo., died Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Bethany Care Center.
Letha was born August 2, 1916, in Mercer County, Mo. She was a homemaker and attended the United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James William and Lillie Evelyn (McQuerry) Mullins; sister: Lois Hazel Carson; brothers: William Harvey and Harry Eugene.
She leaves nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were Thursday at Hamilton Cemetery, Modena, Mo. Services were by Bethany Memorial Chapel, Bethany.
Rosalie Lee
Rosalie Lee, 82, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo.
Mrs. Lee was born Jan. 8, 1923, to Lewis Lawson White and Annie Lorraine (Barber) White in Jameson, Mo. She grew up in Daviess County and graduated from Coffey High School.
In 1944, she married George Lee. They farmed near Winston, Mo., and Weatherby, Mo., before moving to their farm near Jameson, Mo. She was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she leaves two sons, Greg Lee, Holt, Mo., and Randy and wife Lesa Lee, Clearwater, Kan.; a daughter, Mary Ann and husband Bill Lent, Atlanta, Mo.; a sister, Christina George, Brimmerton, Wash.; a brother, Melvin White, Hamilton, Mo.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Coffey Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hickory Creek Cemetery, Jameson. The McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
