Services were held at the Church of God in Craig on Wednesday afternoon, with Randy Brooks officiating and her grandson, Dr. Paul Zachary, Jr., giving the eulogy.

CATHERINE L. YATES
Catherine L. Yates, 85, of Lee's Summit passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at her home. Services were Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at the Park Lawn Chapel; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
Catherine was born on July 8, 1921 in Kansas City and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star where she served as their organist for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett A. Yates in December 1997. She and her husband owned and operated Precision Tool and Engineering Company from 1950 to 1990 before retiring.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara M. Foley and her husband, Jerry, of Kansas City, Mo., Karen J. Aitkens and her husband, Terry, of St. Louis, and Vicki L. Cox and her husband, Lynn, of Kansas City; five grandchildren, Kim Nagel, Beck Mallen, Doug Aitkens, Erin Dugan and Jerrad Peterson; and two great-grandchildren, Reese Nagel and Lauren Peterson.

MAGNUS G. NELSEN
Magnus G. Nelsen, 95, of Lee's Summit passed away on Nov. 2, 2006 at the John Knox Village Care Center.
He was born on May 21, 1911 in Minden, Neb.
He is survived by one daughter, Candace McKee, and husband, Joe; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial to take place at a later date in Minden, Neb.

Orville Edward Aken

Aken - Orville Edward, 87, was born December 27, 1916 in Maryville, Missouri, entered eternal life with our Father on 13 March, 2004 in Grand Island, Neb., of natural causes. He resided in Omaha, Neb. He proudly served our nation in the 14th Armored Division of the Army in WWII. He received many medals and a Honorable Discharge. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #1. He flew the American Flag each day of his life to represent our freedom. On the race track, he was known as "WAR-HORSE AKEN" with his heavy foot, and "drive to win style". He was a mechanic both in and out of the service, and sold cars. He also loved to be around the horses and enjoyed the barn dances and farm settings.
Survivors include sons and their wife's, Donald (Yevon) Aken, David Aken, Orville (Lorrie) Aken Mark (Lanine) Aken. (Eddie's Wife) Julie Aken. Howard Epperson. His daughters and their husbands Alice (Jerry) Paulson, Sylvia Shapcott, Sally (John) Linke, Peggy (Paul) Mathenia.. He has 45 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. His brothers Joseph Aken, Donald and Grace Aken, and sister-in-law Betty Aken, Ethel Anderson, Erma Cavanaugh, Ada Maie Ash. Elouise Graves.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Edith Maline (Ash) Aken, his father Gilbert and Marie Aken and his mother Orpha and Roy Shriner. Also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Finley Anderson, Even Ash and Ray Cavanaugh. His children Helen Randall Chritchfield, Eddie Randall, Edward Lee Aken, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on the 17th of March 2004. His funeral will be on the 18th day of March, 2004, at 10 A.M. at Boyd E. Braman Mortuary on 72nd Street and Blondo. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Omaha, Neb. Please send all memorials to the family.
