Dana Louise Calvert

Dana Louise Calvert, 36, Wellsville, Kan., died Thursday, April 27, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1964, in Butler, the daughter of Johnnie and Beverly (Walters) Mabary.
On Oct. 14, 1989, she married Edward William Calvert, in Freeman.
Mrs. Calvert graduated from Cass-Midway High School and attended Longview Community College for a year.
She had been employed as a customer service representative for Graphic Technology Inc. in Gardner, Kan., for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Calvert was a member of the Freeman Christian Church and was attending Maranatha Baptist Church in Wellsville.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Francis and Anna Mabary.
Surviving are her husband, Edward William Calvert, of the home; two daughters, Sara L. Calvert and Jennifer N. Calvert, both of the home; her parents, Johnnie and Beverly Mabary, Freeman; a sister, Deborah Thompson, Harrisonville; a brother, Donald Mabary, Freeman; grandparents, Harold and Anna Walters, Harrisonville.
Services were Monday, May 1, at the Wilson & Son Funeral Home, Wellsville.
Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery.

Nellie M. Edwards
Nellie M. Edwards, 86, Harrisonville, died Tuesday, May 2, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 4, at the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville.
Burial was in the Orient Cemetery under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
Mary Ellen Ferguson
Nov. 10, 1910 - April 24, 2000
Mary Ellen Ferguson, 89, Harrisonville, died Monday, April 24, at Golden Years, Harrisonville.
She was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Cabin Creek, Ark., the daughter of Will and Genney (Davis) Crowden.
On Dec. 26, 1952, she married Thomas Luther Ferguson in Benton.
Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Oak Grove, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ferguson; four brothers, Paul Crowden, Bob Crowden, Robert Crowden and L.W. Crowden; and two sisters, Ollie and Winnie.
Surviving are a daughter, Eleanor "Kay" Cox, Harrisonville; three sons, Carrol Crowden, Delta, Clayton Lee, Lutesville, and Thomas L. Ferguson Jr., Waldron, Ark.; two brothers, W.L. Crowden, Sikeston, and Edward Crowden, Jackson, Mich.; a sister, Mattie Cochran, Zelma; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Casketbearers were Benjamin Cox, Brian Martin, James Martin, Brandon Speer, Kris Speer and Donald Speer.
Graveside services and burial were Friday, April 28, at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Jeremy Vickers officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
Micheal C. Harris
May 16, 1952 - April 23, 2000
Micheal Clay Harris, 47, Independence, formerly of Peculiar, died Sunday, April 23, at his home.
He was born May 16, 1952, in Kansas City, the son of Paul and Connie Harris.
Mr. Harris attended Raymore-Peculiar school and graduated from high school there.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Belton.
On Oct. 19, 1970, he married Judy Karol Hammonds.
Mr. Harris joined the Air Force in 1970, and served four years in Oscoda, Mich.
He graduated from Park College in Parkville in June 1978 and earned his degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School and passed his bar exam in 1986.
In 1986, he married Sandy Fields.
Mr. Harris lived in Independence where he practiced law.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Harris.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy Harris, of the home; a daughter, Paulette Rardon, Knob Noster; his father and stepmother, Paul C. and Ellie Harris, Wichita, Kan.; his mother, Connie L. Harris, Peculiar; paternal grandmother, Esther Harris, Paola, Kan.; maternal grandmother, Opal Groh, Peculiar; and a grandson, Logan Hunter Rardon.
Nellie Naomi Helt
Nellie Naomi Helt, 90, Harrisonville, formerly of Richmond, died Sunday, April 30, at Cass Medical Center.
She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She had worked for Dunbrook Shirt Factory until she quit to be a caregiver for her husband.
Mrs. Helt was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse F. Helt; two sons, Robert L. Helt and Billy H. Helt; two brothers and a sister.
Surviving are two sons, Eddie Helt, Belton, and Jerry Helt, New Middletown, Ohio; a daughter, Nancy Ryland, Blue Springs; three brothers, R.J. Helt, Jack Helt and Leroy Helt; five sisters, Mary, Annie, Leona, Lucille and Louise; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Thursday, May 4, at Richmond Memorial Garden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beautiful Saviour Nursing Home or Camden Health Center.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore.
Eugene W. Henke
July 3, 1904- April 29, 2000
Eugene W. Henke, 95, Harrisonville, died Saturday, April 29, at Camden Health Center, Harrisonville.
He was born July 3, 1904, in Beloit.
Mr. Henke lived in Beloit, Kan., until 1928 when he moved to Topeka where he resided until March of 2000 when he moved to Harrisonville.
He was a retired shipping and receiving clerk from Montgomery Ward.
Mr. Henke was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Knights of Columbus and the Bowling Leagues of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona (Heidrick) Henke, in 1992, and his daughter, Barbara Arrison, in 1994.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Henke, Runnings Springs, Calif., and Donald Henke, California; two daughters, Mary Utterback, Harrisonville, and Gloria Keith, Marietta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were Friday, May 5, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Beloit, with the Rev. Henry Baxa officiating.
Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Beloit, under the direction of the Harrison Funeral Home, Beloit.
Haleigh LaRae Highfill
Haleigh LaRae Highfill, infant daughter of Michael Scott and Eron Rae (Price) Highfill, died Wednesday, April 26, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs.
Surviving are her parents, Michael Scott and Eron Rae Highfill; paternal grandfather, Roger Highfill; paternal grandparents, Al and Bonnie Renner.
Maternal grandfather, Ray Price; maternal grandmother, Carolyn "Susie" Gregg.
Paternal great-grandmother, Vesta Highfill; paternal great-grandparents, Victor and Beverly Brewer.
Maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Price; and maternal great-grandmother, Molly Lyness.
Services were Monday, May 1, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. John Crane officiating.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Wallace Funeral Home.
