LABELLE - Alice May McElwee Wilson, 104, of Palmyra and formerly of Clarence, died at 9:55 p.m. Dec. 3, 1998, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
Graveside services for Mrs. Wilson will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at LaBelle Cemetery.
Ron Duncan will officiate.
Mrs. Wilson was born Aug. 20, 1894, in Philadelphia to Henry M. and Sarah Hitt McElwee.
She was married to Ernest W. Wilson on Dec. 26, 1928.
He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1956.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Roberta Binder of Forsythe; four nephews, Harold McElwee of Quincy, Ill., Roy McElwee of Taft, Texas, Buryl McElwee of Palmyra, Mack Vickrey of Philadelphia; and two nieces, Mayme Abell of Palmyra and Rosella Dowell of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert McElwee and Melville McElwee; and two sisters, Ethel Hutcherson and Fannie Vickrey.
Mrs. Wilson had formerly worked at the Dime Store in Quincy.
She was a member of Church of Christ in Palmyra.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Church of Christ in Palmyra.

Geraldine Turnbaugh
LOUISIANA - Geraldine Turnbaugh, 54, of Louisiana, died at 6:49 p.m. Dec. 3, 1998, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Funeral services for Mrs. Turnbaugh will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana.
The Rev. Earl Wood will officiate.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.
Mrs. Turnbaugh was born July 8, 1944, in Louisiana to Roy Lee and Mildred Edora Darnell Niffen.
She was married to Roy William Turnbaugh on June 3, 1961, at Riverside Baptist Chapel in Louisiana. He survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Cindy Hoskins of Louisiana; two sons, Roy W. Turnbaugh Jr. of Louisiana and Charles Christopher Turnbaugh of Miami, Okla.; four sisters, Becky Niffen, Maxine Hathaway and Donna Malcom, all of Louisiana, and Robin Pruitt of Nebo, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gordon L. Niffen and Roy Martin Niffen.
Mrs. Turnbaugh was a certified nurse's assistant and had been employed at Maple Grove Nursing Home in Louisiana for several years and later at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Chapel.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

BOWLING GREEN - Lyndall Mae Welch, 84, of Laddonia, died Dec. 3, 1998, in Laddonia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Welch will be at 1 p.m. today at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green.
The Rev. Richard Baber will officiate.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Welch was born June 21, 1914, in Eolia to Rausey and Eldora Inlow Wintjen.
She was married to Carl F. Knapp.
He preceded her in death.
She was later married to Robert Welch.
He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Montgomery of Laddonia, Norma Jean Preston of Bowling Green and Patty Morris of Auxvasse; one son, Carl Knapp of Cyrene; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Genevieve Barnes of Kinderhook, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Knapp; two sisters, Alta Page and Nettie Barnes; and two brothers, Floyd Wintjen and Henry Wintjen.
Miss Welch was a homemaker.
She attended area schools.
Memorials may be made to Audrain County Hospice or Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Griffith, Gary Griffith, Billy Griffith, Donald Griffith, Robert Montgomery and Bradley Montgomery.
