Gladys Atterberry, 85, of Fulton passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, at home, surrounded by family.
Gladys of Fulton was born to Andrew Hoover and Annie Mae Newsom on April 6th, 1930 in Yucatan, Mo., at the Hoover homestead.
She was married
to Paul F. Atterberry Sr. in 1948.
She worked as a seamstress at Bell Master and had a hand in raising lots of Callaway County children.
She is survived by her siblings Merle Hoover, Marcella Houchins, and Elizabeth Hamblin of Holts Summit, Linda Rogers of Belleville, Il., and Juanita Talley of Columbia, Mo. She is also survived by her children, Paul F. and Patty Atterberry, David A. and Carlene Atterberry, Rosemary and Bill Fletcher, Roger and Anita Atterberry, Jerry and Lisa Atterberry, all of Fulton; one foster son, Joe and Debbie Masek; grandchildren, Jeff Schoening, Aaron Atterberry, Derek Atterberry, Brandy Coffelt, Jeremy Atterberry, Michael Atterberry, Amy Hampton, Jenny Champion, and Emily Darko, Randy Atterberry, Darrell Atterberry, Crystal Atterberry, Richard Atterberry, Tabitha Atterberry, Chad Atterberry, Dalton Atterberry, Mateo and Belen Robbins, Shelly and Kim Basnett, and Brendon Crabill; special friend, Shirley Elliot of Granbury, Tx.; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; one son, Don Atterberry; siblings, Andrew Hoover, Carley Hoover, Burt Hoover, Donald Hoover, Merlen Hoover, Mattabell Hollaway, Boyd Hoover, and Ida Bell Davis; grandchildren, Misty Atterberry and Shawn Basnett; and great-grandchild, Sabrina Champion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bill Oswald officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

EUGENE HARRIS
Monday, July 22, 1940 - Monday, March 21, 2016
Eugene Harris, 75, of Portland passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at his home.
He was born on July 22, 1940 in Ironton, Mo., the son of the late Bud Harris and the late Laverne (Reeves) Harris.
On June 26, 1976, Eugene was united in marriage to Maxine (Wedemeier) Harris. She preceded him in death.
Eugene retired from the United States Navy. During his career in the Navy, he was a mechanic and served in Vietnam. Following his retirement, he worked in construction for the State of Missouri. Eugene enjoyed fishing, hunting, and feeding hummingbirds. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball and Kansas City Chiefs Football.
He is survived by sons, Vince Ciolino (Paula) of San Diego, Ca., Eugene Talley of Festus, Mo., and Mike Talley of Troy, Mo.; daughters, Toni Eckekdahl (David) of Eldorado, Il., and Lisa Lalk (Howard) of Troy; grandchildren, Eric Byrne, Crystal, Kristy, Kelly, Michael, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Mat, and Olivia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor David Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors will be in Portland cemetery.

ELSIE GRACE BURROW

Elsie Grace Burrow, 93, of Fulton was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
She was born on October 29, 1922 in Bayfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Elmer Prouty and the late Elnora (Rush) Prouty. After the passing of her mother Elsie was raised by her step-mother, Elsie Prouty.
On November 14, 1938, Elsie was united in marriage to Raymond Womack who preceded her in death. She was later married
to John Burrow on January 24, 1997. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2005.
Elsie retired from Fulton State Hospital where she worked in laundry services. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and playing board games, especially BINGO and Aggravation. What brought her the most joy was spending time visiting with her family which spanned five generations.
Those remaining to cherish her memory include sons, Clyde Womack of Fulton, David Womack (Gail) of Calwood, and Donald Womack of Fulton; daughters, Betty Vaughn (Jerry) of Calwood, Dorothy Wells of Fulton, Ruby Ellis of Calwood, and Charlotte Phillips (Charles) of Jefferson City; thirty grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husbands; Elsie was preceded in death by son Jesse Womack; daughter, Louise Summers; three brothers; four sisters; two step-brothers; two step-sisters; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the times of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.

ELLA LOUISE BAUMGARTNER
APRIL 6, 1930 - SEPTEMBER 22, 2017
Ella Louise Baumgartner, 87, of Millersburg passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her nephew’s residence.
She was born on April 6, 1930 in Millersburg, the daughter of the late John Clayton Baumgartner and the late Ima Mae (Baker) Baumgartner.
Louise was a member of Millersburg Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She retired from K-Mart after many years of service. Louise was a beloved sister, aunt and friend to many. She loved her Heavenly father, feeding the birds, hot wheels, playing games, yard sales and counting cars as they passed by her home.
Those remaining to mourn her passing include brother, John Baumgartner of Millersburg; chosen siblings, Russell Landrum, Oletha Baumgartner and Oleta Landrum, all of Millersburg; nephews, Daniel Frederick Baumgartner of Ocean Springs, Ms., and Marty Baumgartner of Millersburg; and four great-nephews and nieces and four-great-great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Bob Frey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Millersburg cemetery.

EDWARD LOUIS MARTIN

Edward Louis Martin, 75, of Fulton passed away at his home on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
He was born in Butler, Mo. on June 29, 1942, the son of the late Clyde Preston Martin and Evelyn Hilda (Hoffman) Martin.
On November 20, 1960, he married
Sarah Melinda Carpenter. She survives at their home.
Ed enjoyed hunting, tractor pulls and farming. A favorite pass-time was working on VW Bugs. Spending time with his family and grandchildren and visiting with his friends always brought him great happiness.
Ed will be dearly missed by his family including his wife, Sarah; sons, Richard Martin (Peggy), and Robert Martin (Beth), all of Fulton; grandchildren, Tiffany Martin (Devin Quick), Steffany Martin (Adam Fischer), Jordan Martin, Kyle Martin, Tyler Adams, all of Fulton and Cori Martin (Nicole) of Harrisburg, Ashley Tipton (Jeffrey) of Jackson; great-grandchildren, Grayson Myles Fischer, Sophia Rose Martin, Madison Kay Tipton and Sydney Dawn Tipton; brother-in-law, Charles Chancellor of Littleton, Co.; nieces Jacqueline Ann Chancellor of Brighton, Co., and Kimberly Chrystene Chancellor of Centennial, Co.; great nephews, Liam, Adan and Talon Tracey of Brighton, Co.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemary Lynn Martin, and sister, Hilda Chrystene Martin Chancellor.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Rick Conley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

EDITH MARIE ENGLISH
OCTOBER 26, 1925 - SEPTEMBER 16, 2017
Edith Marie English, 91, of Fulton passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Richland, Mo. on October 26, 1925 to the late Levi Harlen Stamper and the late Noma E. (Martin) Stamper. She was the third child with her older siblings being Lloyd Hugh Stamper and Louise Stamper Wilburn, and a younger brother, Donald Stamper.
Edith was married
to Roger L. English on November 24, 1945 in Merriam, Ks. To this union were born two children, Sherry L. English Van Engelenhoven (Orley) of Williamsburg and Roger Gayle English (Ann) of Kingdom City. Roger preceded Edith in death on August 27, 1994.
Edith taught grade school for twenty-nine years. She taught at Gregory School for two years, followed by Grant School for two years. She completed her teaching career at Williamsburg Elementary School in the newly organized North Callaway School district, retiring in 1984 after 25 years of service.
Roger and Edith were the grandparents of eight grandchildren, Andrew Van Engelenhoven, Angelene Van Engelenhoven Richards, John and Jared Van Engelenhoven, Josie Van Engelenhoven Nordyke, Molly English Eiken, Betsy English Bell, and John Henry English.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Auxvasse cemetery with Reverend Mike Haldeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the cemetery.
