BRADLEY VERNON VICKERS, JR.
Sunday, March 6, 1983 - Thursday, March 10, 2016
Bradley Vernon Vickers, Jr., 33, of Fulton was called to Heaven on March 10, 2016.
He was born on March 6, 1983 in Columbia, Mo., the son of Bradley Vickers, Sr. and Norma Lucille (McMunn) Vickers.
He was our Little Braddie; a patriot, veteran, athlete, businessman, mentor, father, brother, beloved son. Although we were given too short a time with him, Brad was able to touch and change the lives of the people he met at the Missouri School for the Deaf and in the nationwide Deaf community, his softball community, all who he served with in the Navy and those who he coached and trained with in the CrossFit community. A more infectious spirit for life could not be found and he has left a part of himself in every one of the numerous souls he touched. The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from calamity. He enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness. --Isaiah 57:1-2
Brad will leave a void in the lives of all who knew him and called him friend. He is survived by his parents, Bradley and Norma of Fulton; children, Joseph Bradley Vickers and Allison Jane Vickers of Fulton, and their mother, Jodi Vickers; sister, Norlian Vickers and her children, Brooklynn Mahayla Vickers and Noah Kenton Scott Vickers; partner in life, Kristy Tiesing; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; friends and many others whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Randy Dignan officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to a college fund to be set up for Brad’s children, payable to Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
