WILLIAM EDWARD "BILL" JAMESON
Monday, March 27, 1950 - Tuesday, March 8, 2016
William Edward (Bill) Jameson, 65, passed away at his home on March 8, 2016. He was born in Fulton, Missouri to John Edward Jameson and Harriott (Pat) Jameson on March 27, 1950. He was the second child of four children.
Bill attended and graduated from Fulton High School in 1968. He also attended Westminster College and proudly obtained his undergraduate degree in Business in his late thirties.
Though Bill was a life long resident of Fulton, he did explore somewhat beyond its boundaries taking a year away in Kentucky (freshman year of college), then a year in Oceanside Beach, California (trying on a new adventure) and another year in Utah where he worked on a commercial construction crew. In that last venture Bill’s knee was badly injured and therefore had to return home to recuperate.
Since that time Bill worked a variety of jobs off and on, read profusely (in fact he told me once he had read the whole dictionary!) and was really quite intelligent despite his issues.
Those who have known Bill know of the struggles he had in his life. He vacillated greatly between managing them and succumbing to them and it was difficult for those who loved him to watch. In the last two to three decades, Bill embraced spirituality and read everything that opened him to hope and healing, if not here than at least in the beyond. He expressed many times over the years that he looked forward to “going Home.” Well, bless him...he is finally there.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Harriott (Deri) Jameson Bolster and by both his parents, John E. Jameson and Pat Jameson. He is survived by his brother, John W. Jameson of El Cerrito, California, his sister, Jennifer Jameson of Overland Park, Kansas; nieces, Heddy Bolster Snyder, Catherine Bolster, Chelsea Dutton and nephew, James Dutton; grand nephews, Logan and Halen Snyder and grand nieces, Irelyn and Vivian Allen.
Private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
