She was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Shannon County.
Preceding her in death were her father, Andrew Jackson Nichols, and her mother, Ola Palestine Mahan.
Surviving are her daughter, Anna Marie Dehoney and her husband, Allen, and her son, Denny Niebaum; a sister, Lacy Noone; and three granddaughters, Pam Snyder, Kim Jacobs and Nikki Knipmeyer; five great-grandchildren, Ryan Snyder, Camille Jacobs, Kyle Snyder, Callie Jacobs and Braden Knipmeyer.
Services were at noon Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Chapel.
Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown under the direction of the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, Kansas City.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Blue River Bible Church.

Lloyd Eugene Gibson Sr.

Lloyd Eugene Gibson Sr., 57, Nevada, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 17, 1948, in St. Joseph, the son of Bert Ralph and Pauline Maxine (Todd) Gibson.
June 7, 1974, he married Lydia Marie Zell in California.
Mr. Gibson served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1975. He served two tours in Vietnam and received two purple hearts and a bronze star. He was an assistant Scout leader for the Boy Scouts and a member of the American Legion in Jefferson City.
He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Gibson and his wife had lived in Nevada since 2002, moving from Monett. He had also lived in California and Washington. He was an avid fisherman and canoeist.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Lydia; two sons, Lloyd E. Gibson Jr., Olathe, Kan., and Lukas Gibson, Nevada; a sister, Ruth Gibson, Monett; a brother, Jerry Gibson, Kansas City; two grandchildren, Shania Gibson and Scott Gibson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a godchild, Desiree Silvas, Nevada.
Services were Thursday, Dec. 15, at Ferry Funeral home, Nevada, with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Burial Park in Nevada under the direction of the Ferry Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada VFW Post 2175.
Bonnie Louise Green

Bonnie Louise (Gregg) Green, 91, Garden City, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born April 25, 1914, near Creighton, the daughter of George Alpha and Carrie Abigail (Hill) Gregg.
Nov. 8, 1936, she married Johnnie L. Green, at the Mojave Congregational Church.
Mrs. Green accepted Christ as her Savior when she was 12 years old and was baptized into the Creighton Christian Church.
After attending college in Warrensburg, she taught at Dover Rural School before moving to Mojave, Calif.
She enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, writing poetry, growing flowers, painting, sewing, handwork and homemaking.
She moved by California to Missouri in 1975 and joined the Creighton Christian Church. She taught Sunday school for more than 60 years, writing Bible lessons for the young people she loved to teach. she also played piano for the services for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Johnnie Green, Nov. 13, 1999, and many other loved ones.
Surviving are a brother, Frank Gregg, Creighton; two sisters, Berniece Garey and Doris Schrock and husband, Coburn, all of Garden City; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl B. Abbott, David Atherton, Ray Bates, Ray Cox, Troy Garey, George C. Hook, Jim Jennings, George Miller and Don Rapp.
Pallbearers were Brad Dolloff, Gideon Dunn, Monty Dunn, Duane Garey, John Hartzler, Terry Hunt, Nathan Schrock and Stanley Schrock.
Services were Friday, Dec. 9, at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. John Kukovich officiating. Music was by Joann Miller and Randy Jones soloists and Donna Borum was the pianist.
Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.
