Lloyd Ansel Rippeto, 81, Peculiar, died Sept. 23, 2002, at his home.
Services were Sept. 26 at the Chapel of Memories, Grain Valley.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Willie E. Spain, 93, Harrisonville, formerly of Peculiar, died Sept. 15, 2002, at Cass Medical Center.
He was born July 10, 1909, in Gibson, Tenn., the son of John and Donna Spain.
On Jan. 9, 1941, he married Victory Allen in Quincy, Ill.
Graveside services were Sept. 19 at the Peculiar Cemetery.
Virginia J. Wrigley
June 3, 1924 - Sept. 18, 2002
Virginia Juanita Wrigley, 78, Lebanon, died Sept. 18, 2002, at the Christian Health Care center, Lebanon.
She was born June 3, 1924, in Kansas City, the daughter of George and Lucy (Davenport) Blitsch.
On April 15, 1958, she married Joseph Wrigley.
Mrs. Wrigley worked for Southwestern Bell for 35 years as a telephone operator and administrator.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 318 in Pleasant Hill. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Clinton. She belonged to the National Campers’ Association and the Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Wrigley, Clinton; a daughter, Patricia Radde, Elkhorn, Neb.; a stepson, Richard Wrigley, Louisburg, Kan.; a goddaughter; two grandsons; two stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
The honorary pallbearer was Richie Wrigley. Pallbearers were Matt Radde, Sheridan Radde, Mark Buell, Mark Ephland, Tom Ephland and Bill Ephland.
Burial was in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

R. Kenneth Alexander Sr.
Dec. 8, 1923 - April 26, 2000
R. Kenneth Alexander Sr., 76, Pleasant Hill, died Wednesday, April 26, at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Dec. 8, 1923, near Strasburg, the son of Robert C. and Fannie Mae (Aldridge) Alexander.
Mr. Alexander spent most of his lifetime in the Pleasant Hill area.
On May 23, 1943, he married Pauline "Polly" McIntrye in Kansas City.
Mr. Alexander had been a member of the Pleasant Hill First Baptist Church for 44 years. He had been affiliated with the Calvary Community Church for the last several years.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Alexander had served on the Pleasant Hill City Council in the early 1980s and was police commissioner at that time.
Mr. Alexander was a life member of the Pleasant Hill VFW Post # 3118.
He had worked for Fisher Body and Black-Syvalls & Bryson. He managed the Pleasant Hill Co-op station on Highway 7 for many years. He grew and sold garden produce in Pleasant Hill for 35 years.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by three brothers, Zack Alexander, Dean Alexander and Leo Alexander; and a sister, May Alexander.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline "Polly" Alexander, of the home; a son, Robert Kenneth Alexander Jr., Pleasant Hill; a daughter, Dolores "Dee" Ballard Sanders, Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Ray Alexander, Pleasant Hill, and Glen Alexander, Warsaw; a sister, Ruby Weiter, Topeka, Kan.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Ray Murray Alexander, Larry Alexander, Harold R. Alexander, Jim Alexander, Richard "Bud" Alexander and George Weiter.
Services were Saturday, April 29, at the Stanley & Son Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, with Dr. James D. Butterfield Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley & Son Funeral Home.
David W. Bird
June 20, 1959 - April 28, 2000
David W. Bird, 40, Peculiar, died Friday, April 28, at North Kansas City Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1959, in Kansas City.
Mr. Bird played and coached soccer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, whitewater canoeing, camping and boating.
Surviving are his wife, Dawn Bird; three daughters, Ashley Bird, Alyssa Bird and Angela Bird; his parents, James and Shirley Bird; and three brothers, James Bird, Robert Bird and Michael Bird.
Graveside services were Wednesday, May 3, at Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, under the direction of the Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bird Children Education Fund in care of UMB Bank of Peculiar, Mo.
Bonnie Carol Brinkman
Jan. 27, 1939 - April 14, 2000
Bonnie Carol Brinkman, 61, Basking Ridge, N.J., died Friday, April 14, at her home after a battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Loyd and Missouri graduating in 1961 with a BA in education.
She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and the University of Missouri, New Mexico, Georgia Roll, Harrisonville; a brother, Gene Roll, Raleigh, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Services were Monday, April 17, at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge.
Glen Buster Jr.
July 17, 1935 - April 26, 2000
Glen Buster Jr., 64, Pleasant Hill, died Wednesday, April 26, at Lee's Summit Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1935, in Eugene, the son of Glen and Nettie (Nott) Buster.
Mr. Buster lived in Grandview before moving to Pleasant Hill seven years ago.
On March 7, 1956, he married Mary Burris in Eldon.
He graduated from Eldon High School and received a bachelor of science degree in business management from Park College.
Mr. Buster retired from the United States Air Force in August 1979 after serving 26 years. He worked for AlliedSignal in Kansas City for approximately 20 years, retiring in 1997.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Buster, of the home; a daughter, Sheila Lambkin, Lee's Summit; two sons, Jeffrey Glen Buster, Springfield, and Stephen C. Buster, Independence; a brother, Franklin Buster, Pleasant Hill; five sisters, Bonnie Kobel, Jean Rose Blankenship, Juanita Williams and Carolyn Hickey, all of Eldon, and Wilma Cook, Sayer, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
Casketbearers were John Neiderman, Steve Tolivar, Gary Spitzkeit, Jerry Lovins, Mike Beatty and James Stephenson.
Services were Saturday, April 29, at the Stanley & Son Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Jon C. Spalding officiating.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of the VFW Post # 3118.
