He was born Nov. 16, 1937, in Kansas City, the son of Edward and Ruth (Hayes) Aman.
Cremation. A memorial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home.

Edgar “Ike” Donald Anderson, 85, Lisbon, Iowa, died Aug. 17, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born April 20, 1921, in Wellington, the son of William W. and Mary M. (Shipley) Anderson.
Aug. 26, 1961, he married Mary Elizabeth Ritch in Miami, Okla.
Mr. Anderson was a World War II Army-Air Force veteran. He worked for Armco Steel in Kansas City for 37 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and go to farm sales.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary, Dec. 19, 1996; two sons, Donald Anderson and Dwaine Ritch; a daughter, Linda Turner; and three brothers, Aubrey, William and Albert Anderson.
Surviving are a son, Walter “Wes” Anderson, Lisbon; two daughters, Sandra Phifer and her husband, Tim, Freeman, and Sharon Smith, Texas; three sisters, Mary Mezzacasa and her husband, Joe, Kansas City, Betty Emery and her husband, Jessie, Raytown, and Jessie Long, Kansas City; two sisters-in-law, Lyda Mae Anderson, Lee’s Summit, and Dorothy Anderson, Higginsville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers were Kimberly Cawby, Kristian Klaus, Christopher Ritch, Philip Anderson, Mark Ritch, Michelle Chester, David Smith and Jeff Klaus.
Services were Aug. 22 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, officiated by the Rev. William F. “Bud” McCleskey. Music was provided by Bud McCleskey, soloist, and Janet Allbaugh, pianist.
Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Harold EK Bailey

Harold EK Bailey, 82, Cleveland, died Aug. 18, 2006, at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Belton, the son of James EK and Minnie Grace (Wood) Bailey.
March 17, 1950, he married Virginia May Peek
Mr. Bailey was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked as a farmer and carpenter.
He had lived in the Freeman and West Line area for 56 years.
He was a member of West Line Christian Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Lorene Lawrence.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia, of the home; seven sons, Albert EK Bailey and his wife, Linda, Peculiar, Tom Bailey and his wife, Pam, Cleveland, Steve Bailey and his wife, Della, West Line, Harold Bailey and his wife, Teresa, Peculiar, James Bailey and Lisa Grimes, Greenwood, Doug Bailey and his wife, Candy, Freeman, and Mark Bailey, Belton,; three daughters, Linda Cherry and her husband, Robert, Peculiar, Brenda Sedwick and her husband, John, Peculiar, and Teresa Mathews and her husband, Billy, Cleveland, and a brother, Vaughn Dean Bailey and his wife, Darleen, Newport Beach, Calif.; 45 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers were Albert Bailey, Tom Bailey, Steve Bailey, Harold Bailey, James Bailey, Doug Bailey and Mark Bailey.
Services were Aug. 21 at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar, officiated by the Rev. Tim Redding. Music was provided by David and Beth Irvin.
Burial was in West Union Cemetery, Cleveland, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Military honors were under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard.

Hughie Viola Davis

Hughie Viola Davis, 89, Independence, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at Maywood Terrace Living Center, Independence.
She was born April 1, 1917, in Couch, the daughter of George Edgar and Maggie Elizabeth (Combs) Storms.
Hughie was married to Ralph Davis. After his death, she married Wilbur Davis on Oct. 8, 1977.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed cooking, canning, knitting, sewing and quilting.
She also liked to crochet and embroidery.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Ralph Davis and Wilbur Davis; one son, Charles Davis; one daughter, Anna Jane Davis; a brother, Willie Storms; three sisters, Artha, Mamie, Hellen and Margie; and a grandson, Ralph E. Davis.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Martha Davis, Kansas City; a sister, Nora Hollis, Thayer; four grandchildren, Chuck, Michael, Carol Jean and Kel Davis and his wife, Chessie, all of Kansas City.
Services were Aug. 22 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, officiated by the Rev. Henry Green.
Burial was in Thayer Cemetery Aug. 23, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
William “Bill” Knox

William “Bill” Knox, 68, Harrisonville, died August 21, 2006, at his home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Raymore, the son of Dave Monroe and Rosa May (Malicoat) Knox.
Feb. 22, 1963, he married Mary Jane Smith.
They resided all of their married life in Harrisonville.
Mr. Knox was employed at Clarkson Construction as a truck driver until his retirement in 2002.
Earlier he had been employed as a bus driver for Jefferson Lines, a police officer for the city of Harrisonville and an over-the–road truck driver for other trucking firms.
While in the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Germany, among other locations.
He was once a member of the Harrisonville Civil Defense, the Optimist Club and was a volunteer firefighter.
He was also an EMT for the Harrisonville EMS.
Mr. Knox drove car No. 17 at Nevada Speedway for many years.
He continued to be a racing fan even after he no longer raced.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Marjorie Kisner; and two brothers, Maurice Knox and Larry Knox.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, of the home; two daughters, Cathy (Knox) Wade and her husband, Terry, Lebanon, and Christie Knox, Harrisonville; a son, Lonnie Knox and his wife, Becky, Archie; sisters, Phyllis Hughes, Harrisonville, Joyce Stevens and Mary Miller, both of Adrian; brothers, Cecil Knox, Hickman Mills, Ralph Knox, Harrisonville, and Harvey Knox, Urich; two grandchildren, Brandon and Blair Wade; three step-grandchildren, Amy Young, Rusty Wright and Heather Wright; three step-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and many friends.
Honorary casket bearers were Dustin Young, Destinee Young and Dawson Young.

Graveside services were Aug. 24 at Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville, officiated by Pastor Greg Gilliam.
Theron “Sonny” Deshazer delivered the eulogy. Military honors were under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard.

Coleman T. Norris, 69, Garden City, died Aug. 20, 2006, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
Visitation will from 9:30 to 10.30 a.m. today (Aug. 25) at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with memorial services at 10:30 a.m. Cremation.

Ella P. Olson, 89, Raymore, died Aug. 20, 2006, at Raymore Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Martin City, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Weber) Riedesel.
Mrs. Olson was a lifelong area resident, moving to Raymore in 1985.
She was a member of the Peculiar United Methodist Church.
She had been employed for the Grandview School District as a cafeteria manager, retiring from Conn-West Elementary School in 1977.
Mrs. Olson was an honorary member of the Missouri Teachers Association, the United Methodist Women and the Senior Citizens of Cass County.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Allan Olson, Dec. 6, 1996; two brothers, Henry and Joe Riedesel; four sisters, Clara Keltz, Bertha Olsen, Lena Smith and Margaret Arington; and a granddaughter, Deonna Ard Stadler.
Surviving are a son, Johnnie Olson and wife, Margaret, Russellville; a daughter, LeDorna Ard, and husband, Graham, Raymore; three grandchildren, Kim Kauser, Allan Keith Olson and Patty Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 at the McGilley & George Funeral Home, Belton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, Belton, with burial in the Belton Cemetery, Belton.
