Billy Struble, 74, Freeman, died Jan. 24, 2007, at his home.
A memorial service was held Jan. 31 at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society in Raytown.
Mr. Struble worked in the monument business in the Kansas City area for more than 30 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard and Dorothy (Hite) Struble; and a sister Betty Struble.
Surviving are his wife, Marlea (Mecham) Struble, of the home; a brother Jeff Struble, Prairie Grove, Ark., four children; Molly Gore, Overland Park, Kan., Mike Struble, Stover, Karen Belisle, Osceola, and Kim Gravitt, Belton, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, Raytown.

He was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Oxford, the son of Orvia B. and Adeline (Boomgaarn) Wyer.
Services were at 11 a.m. Jan. 26 at the Atkinson Chapel with burial in Oxford Cemetery under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian.
Carole S. Atkinson

Carole Sue Atkinson, 69, Archie, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Kansas City, the daughter of Carl Fredrick and Helen Marie (McLear) Groll.
She was a 1956 graduate of Archie High School where she played basketball.
She held the school record for 30 years for scoring 41 points in one game.
Sept. 21, 1963, she married Richard Kent Atkinson at the First Baptist Church in Archie, officiated by the Rev. Clarence Bates.
Mrs. Atkinson worked for Bendix for 11 years and then worked for Hartzler’s Equipment in Harrisonville for 15 years before retiring.
She had been the manager for Archie Senior Housing for 25 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Archie and had served as the church secretary and treasurer.
She was a member and was the current president of Beta Sigma Phi.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Lee Groll.
Surviving are her husband, Richard, of the home; a son, Kendall Atkinson and his wife, Telli, Archie; a daughter, Andrea Holthaus and her husband, Chris, Chesterfield; a sister-in-law, Jean Groll, Butler, and five grandchildren, Dakota and Cheyenne Atkinson and Tyler, Madison and Jacob Holthaus.
Mrs. Atkinson will be remembered for her patience, her giving nature and her unconditional love.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Honorary casket bearers were members of the Archie Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Casket bearers were Chris Holthaus, Jay Hartzler, Rick Drury, Ben Palmer, Thurman Flanary and Kent Sliffe.
Services were May 25 at the First Baptist Church in Archie, with Dr. Jeff Paul officiating.
Music was provided by Larry Cantrell and Phyllis Alexander, vocalists, and Carole Lynne Arnold, pianist.
Burial was in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Archie,

Services were May 30 at the Dickey Funeral Home, with burial in Carpenter Cemetery, Chilhowee, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.

Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman.

Carolyn Sue Harris, 50, Drexel, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at her home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Kansas City, the daughter of Cleve O.P. and Martha (Poe) Evins.
Mrs. Harris lived in Kansas City before moving to Cleveland in 1960. She graduated from Cass-Midway High School in 1974.
June 22, 1975, she married Timothy C. Harris, in Drexel.
Mrs. Harris had been employed at H&R; Block as a tax accountant for 19 years before leaving due to health reasons. She was an active member of the Drexel First Baptist Church and the Missourians on Missions.
She enjoyed crafts, arranging flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, Cleve, on April 18, 2000; and a bother, Glen Evins, Jan. 12, 1987.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Timothy Harris, of the home; and children, Timothy Harris II and his wife, Theresa, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Stephanie Harris, of the home; her mother, Martha Evins, Drexel; a brother, James Evins and his wife, Nora, Cleveland; five grandchildren, Sharesa Armstrong, Katherine, Elisabeth, Rebekah and Clay Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were May 29 at the Drexel First Baptist Church.
Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson & Son Funeral Home Drexel Chapel.
