Marvin A. Fox
Marvin A. Fox, 74, of Sedalia, born April 27, 1931, in Sedalia, son of Everett W. and Iva M. Summons Fox.
Mr. Fox was a self-employed handyman. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, dancing and playing the harmonica. He was a Baptist and had lived all of his life in Sedalia.
Survivors include two sisters, Linda Paxton, of Sedalia, and Pauline Lentz, of Springfield; and three brothers, Harold Fox, Robert Fox and Fred Fox, all of Sedalia. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Wessel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
Burial will be in Crown Hill died Friday morning, December 17, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was married Wally D. Frank, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Frank was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church Celebration Center. She was a 1959 graduate of Kansas State University, where she earned a bachelors of science degree in elementary education. She was a member of Chi Omega social sorority and Angel Flight at Kansas State University. She taught school in Topeka, Kan. for a year before she was death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at First Methodist Church in Ottawa, Kan., with Dr. Randy Shepard officiating.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center, with the Rev. Jim Downing officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service until 7 p.m. at the Celebration Center on Monday.
Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Isgriggs officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
Connie M. Fredrickson
Constance M. "Connie" Fredrickson, 79, of Georgetown, born April 17, 1924 in Montrose, South Dakota, daughter of Harold and Serena Duffy Wiley. On June 4, 1941, in Montrose, she died July 1, 1994.
Mrs. Fredrickson owned and operated Connie's Café in Sedalia and Babe's Café in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She loved cooking and painting, and collecting dolls and Native American items. She had been a Sedalia area resident since 1968 and was a Catholic. She was raised by her beloved grandmother, Edna Duffy.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Fredrickson, of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Todd Fredrickson, of Sedalia; five daughters, Sharon Wiertsema, of El Paso, Texas, Colleen Spielman, of Dallas, Texas, Sandra Hanning, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Susan Morris, of Sedalia, and Charlene Reque, of Cole Camp; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and a sister, Lola Czupka, of Florida.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday.
William Benedict "Bill" Fritz
William Benedict "Bill" Fritz, 39, of Sedalia, born February 26, 1964, in Elgin, Illinois, son of Francis Lester and Janet Benedict Fritz. On June 15, 1990, in Lakenheath, England, he was Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Antioch Fellowship Church.
Esther M. Dow
Esther M. Dow, 89, of Sedalia, born October 14, 1914, in Hughesville, daughter of August and Lucy Schultz Mittelhauser. On March 14, 1941, in Sedalia, she death on December 23, 2003.
Mrs. Dow was a member of Georgetown Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Pettis County. She volunteered for many years at Open Door Services. She ran an extensive taxi service for her children's many sports and activities. She attended Georgetown School. In between all of her many activities, she enjoyed spending her quiet time crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Bill Dow and Ernie Dow, both of Sedalia, Frank Dow, of Hughesville; a brother, Herb Mittelhauser, of Sedalia; and six grandchildren. She was also preceded in Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Carl Mittelhauser, Jeff Mittelhauser, W.R. Dow, Ray Combs, Kenny Combs and Eldon Kreisel. Honorary bearers will be Kennadean Long, Kyle Dow, Crystal Dow, Camie Dow, Nichole Kreisel and Lisa Dow Britson.
Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Georgetown Methodist Church Steeple Fund.
Beatrice E. Cummings
Beatrice Eileen Cummings, 83, of Sedalia, born March 24, 1921, in Gunn City, daughter of Roger and Susan Bowers.
Mrs. Cummings was a waitress at Flat Creek Inn for 25 years, retiring in 1962. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, her family, soap operas and her dog, Cookie. She lived in the Sedalia area most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Cummings, and his wife, Sharon, and Gary Cummings, all of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Jeff Martin, Charles Martin, Cynthia King, Michael Cummings, Becky Cummings and Pam Hayworth; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cummings; four sisters, Olive Erickson, Mildred Boggess, Ruth Bowers and Jay Cecil; and a brother, Charles Bowers.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cummings, Charles Martin, Josh King, Steve Hayworth, Roger Pottoroff, Travis Snyder and Ernie King.
There will be no visitation. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Mid-Missouri Humane Society.
