Clayton Fowler Callis
Clayton Fowler Callis, 81, of St. Louis, formerly of Pettis County, born September 25, 1923, in Sedalia, son of Edward and Mary Fowler Callis. On April 4, 1949, he died June 30, 1991.
Mr. Callis was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, Missouri. He was the manager of research in the inorganic chemicals division of Monsanto Chemical Company. He moved from the Pettis County area to live in the St. Louis County area in 1957.
Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Roman, and her husband, John, of St. Louis, and Judy Gasser Callis, and her husband, Chuck, of Davis, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Jeff, Zach, Reta and Max.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Hughesville High Point died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at her home.
She was Cemetery, with the Rev. Marvin Albright officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Gilmore, Eddie Scroggins, Garland Hill, Michael Lawson, Perry Webb and Brian Micheals. Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon Cochran, Debbie Riffle, Diane England, Rebecca McCollum, Emily Shultz, Gloria Buckner, Debbie Webb, Bonnie Ballance and Angie Scroggins.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday, November 26 at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or Bothwell Hospice.
Mr. Edward E. Brummet
Edward Eugene Brummet, 72, of Sedalia, born September 14, 1930, in Sedalia, son of Edward E. and Ruth Woods Brummet. On October 28, 1983, in Sedalia, he death by a brother, John Brummet.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gene Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be Otis Brock, Clyde Charles, Darrell Gerster, Leroy Klein, Kenny Pabst and Keith Singer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harlan Bagley, Larry Casey, Jack Couts, Dr. Arturo Gonzales, Donnie Kabler, Mack Kell, John Lowman, Chris Pescetto, Jay Phipps, Loren Pope, Amandus Schoen, Fred Seitz and Kenny Weitkamp.
Burial will be in Crown Hill died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Truman Medical Center Lakewood in Lee's Summitt.
He was married Opal L. McCool, who death by a daughter, Billie Jean Bennett; a son, J.P. Cook; four brothers, William E. Bruce, Robert F. Bruce, Carl Bruce and Everett Bruce; and a sister, Marie Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Campbell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jack Smith, Marion Schmidt, Stan Inman, Ab Abney, Elvis Durrill and Ralph Thomas.
Burial will be in Memorial Park died Friday, December 5, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was married Richard Lee Brownfield, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Brownfield was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting and talking with people and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as ward secretary for Bothwell Regional Health Center for 27 years, retiring in 2001.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Lee Brownfield, of the home; a son, Keith Barnes, of Mt Calm, Texas; a sister, Susan Visentin, of Sedalia; a brother, Franklin D. Barnes, of Independence; her mother, Alice Barnes, of Sedalia; and two grandsons, Jordan and Zion Barnes, of Mt Calm, Texas. She was preceded in Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home. Friends may call from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions to Broadway Baptist Church Building Fund.
Geraldine O. Brown
Geraldine Opal Brown, 82, of Sedalia, born November 21, 1922, in Geneseo, North Dakota. On October 2, 1944, in Sedalia, she was died October 27, 2003.
Mrs. Brown received a bachelors of science degree in elementary education from Central Missouri State University in May 1964. She was a long-time teacher, first at High Point and Anderson Schools and then with Sedalia Public Schools, until she retired in 1982. She was a charter member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority in Sedalia and an active member of Christ & Trinity Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. An artist and a poet, her relatives and acquaintances have received her verse in greeting cards through the years. Her paintings, mostly seascapes, flowers and fowl, are displayed in her home and the homes of many of her friends and relatives. She and George enjoyed numerous years of trailer camping. In their later years, since 1987, they spent winters in Key West, Florida, at the home of their son.
Survivors include a son, J. Douglas Brown, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Key West; a daughter, Mary Jo Brown Banks, of Phenix City, Alabama; and a sister, Fern Freeman Anderson, of Wahpeton, North Dakota.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
