Darrell C. Sebring
Darrell Clinton Sebring, 61, of Sedalia, born, June 4, 1942, in Clay Center, Kansas, son of Clinton Ernest and Lucille Hileman Sebring. On December 30, 1966, in Madison, Kansas, he Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Anson, Dave Mittelhauser, Chris Buchanan, Larry Claycomb, Steve Sebring and Mike Welling. Honorary pallbearers will be Trade Hileman, Walter McBride, Dale Vinson, Bob Gregory, J.D. Gregory and Mark Hileman.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Helen Shepherd
Edith Helen Shepherd, 92, of Osage Beach, formerly of Sedalia and Overland Park, Kansas, completed life's journey Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the Lake Ozark Retirement Center in Osage Beach.
She was married Lester Eugene "Gene" Shepherd, who death of her husband. She resided at the Lake Ozark Retirement Center this past year.
Survivors include three sons, James Robert Shepherd and wife Kathleen of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; Larry Eugene Shepherd and wife Kay, and Kenneth DeJarnette Shepherd and wife Linda, all of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Williams, Matthew Shepherd, Todd Shepherd, Jason Shepherd, Tad Shepherd and Rod Woerther. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Curran.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Lee Ann Brittain Infant Development Center, Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation, 9100 W. 74th Street, Shawnee Mission, Kansas 66204.
Darlene Tumlinson, Marshall
Darlene Tumlinson, 63, of Marshall, born Jan. 10, 1944, in Oronogo, a daughter of Jack and Annabell Evans Wales.
She lived in Marshall most of her life and retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center. She also worked at Benton Grade School.
Surviving are her children, Michael Rogers, of Mora, and Cindy Neth, of Sedalia; her mother, of Marshall; five stepchildren; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. There will be no services.
Arrangements were under the direction of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Ruth I. Berry, Calhoun
Ruth Irene Funk Berry, 82, of Calhoun, born March 13, 1925, south of Windsor, a daughter of Albert Parker and Goldie Ann McClain Funk. On June 27, 1946, in Windsor, she was died May 27, 1999.
She worked at the Windsor International Shoe Factory for 32 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed reading her Bible, quilting, doing embroidery, gardening, cooking and horses. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Calhoun. The Calhoun Colt Show Book was dedicated in her honor in 2005.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Ray Berry, and his wife, Marianne, of Edina; a daughter, Joyce Irene Williams, and her husband, Harry Earl, of Calhoun; two sisters, including her twin, Ruby Ilene Miller and Alberta Louise Crawford, both of Clinton; a brother, Herbert Lee Funk, of Windsor; four grandchildren, Robert Ray Williams, Patrick Earl Williams, Maria Theresa Berry and Christopher Ray Berry; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Horace Martin Funk; and two sisters, Sarah Adeline Church and Roberta Maxine Baskins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Calhoun, with the Rev. Kevin Schildknecht officiating. Burial will be in Calhoun died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at his home.
He was a 1981 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School.
Surviving are a son, Stephen Niel Jett; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Jett; his mother; a sister; and five brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Chapel in Kansas City. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Coy E. Marriott, Versailles
Coy Eugene “Gene” Marriott, 55, of Versailles, born March 23, 1952, in Cole Camp, a son of Coy and Felma Smith Marriott. On Oct. 9, 1971, in Independence, he was Cemetery, southeast of Stover. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Chapel died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove.
She was married to Charles Felten, who survives of the home.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Creek, St. Joseph Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and had worked for Rita Twenter Catering.
Also surviving are a son, David Felten, of Pilot Grove; a daughter, Darlene Bradshaw, of Moberly; three sisters, Joan Hoffman, of Kansas City, Norma Jean Vollmer and Virginia Lammers, both of Boonville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Danny Ray Felten; and a brother, who Cemetery in Clear Creek. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove. A prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. today with visitation to follow at the church.
