Henry G. Schmitt, Edwards
Henry “Hank” G. Schmitt, 72, of Edwards, born July 4, 1935, in the Brooklyn Borough in New York City, a son of Henry J. and Marie B. Schmitt. On July 13, 1985, he was Cemetery. The family will receive from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Deer Creek Fire Department, in care of the funeral home.
Linda K. Reinwald, Rincon, Ga.
Linda Kay Reinwald, 58, of Rincon, Ga., formerly of Sweet Springs, born June 18, 1949, in Sweet Springs, a daughter of Herman P. and Esther Schreiner Reinwald.
She was raised in the Sweet Springs area. After the Cemetery in Sweet Springs. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or to Special Olympics, in care of the funeral home.
Mary L. Bolling, Lincoln
Mary Lucille Bolling, 95, of Lincoln, formerly of Odessa, born Dec. 24, 1911, in Kane, Ill., a daughter of James M. and Lucy Hendrickson Ackelberry. On Sept. 1, 1934, in Ottawa, Kan., she was died April 8, 1978.
She graduated from Slater High School in 1929.
She lived in Kansas City from 1943 to 1969, when she moved to Odessa. She moved to Lincoln in February 1999. She had been a member of First Baptist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the AARP.
Surviving are a son, Ronald D. Bolling, of Warsaw; a daughter, Valda Bolling, of Warsaw; and a sister, Dorothy Thomas, of Raytown.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Slater died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at his home.
He was married to Beulah Faye McMullin, who survives of the home.
He was employed by the Morgan County Library for nearly 50 years. In the beginning, he drove the bookmobile to more than 50 one-room schools around Morgan County. He later retired as the library director and was recently recognized for his role in laying a solid foundation facilitating the newly built library.
He was an avid collector of guns, antiques and Indian artifacts. He and his wife owned and operated Pasttime Antiques Shop on the square in Versailles for 16 years.
He was also a professional musician and played guitar with various musical groups around Missouri. He appeared on local radio and TV stations.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Versailles and taught Sunday school for several years.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Cable, of Lebanon, and Connie Walker, and her husband, Steve, of Lincoln, Neb.; a son; Tom Housworth, and his wife, Shelly, of Florida; six grandchildren, Dana and Seth Cable, Tom Jost, Halie Oyler, Charlie and Dru Housworth; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by five sisters, Violet Housworth, Lula Baughman, Bonnie Daulton, Nealie Daulton, and Beulah Morris; and two brothers, Chancey and Ernest Housworth.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Burial will be in Versailles died Sunday night, Dec. 9, 2007, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was married to Alice Wray, who survives at their home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He taught math and science at Stover High School. In 1964, he was the principal of the school in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada. He retired from the Glasgow public school, where he was principal from 1965 to 1973.
Until just a few years ago, he and his wife were custom harvesters, known as “Mergie and Jake” and worked the harvest from Texas to Canada. He was a member of the Stover United Methodist Church and the Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343 in Stover.
Also surviving are two sons, Gary Leo Jones, of Katy, Texas, and Cary Gene Jones, and his wife, Linda, of Springfield; and a sister, Eva McBride, of Warrensburg.
He was predeceased by a son, Alan Wray Jones; and a brother, Gene Jones.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Stover United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Diane Cutler officiating. Burial will be in the Stover died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
He was married to Betty Griffin, who Cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
