Ruth Barbour Richardson, Versailles
Naomi Ruth “Grannie” Barbour Richardson, 92, of Versailles, formerly of Stover, born Aug. 21, 1915, in Zora, in Benton County, a daughter of Fred and Lula Taylor Hughes. On Feb. 14, 1941, in Liberty, she was died Jan. 11, 1981. She later was Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
The family suggests memorial contribution to the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
Charles "Bud" Burton, Windsor
Charles “Bud” Burton, 50, of Windsor, born March 15, 1958, a son of Robert and Mary Burton. He was died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Janet R. Meyers, who survives of the home.
He was raised and educated in Cole Camp. He was a 1964 graduate of Cole Camp High School. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cole Camp. He was a long-time member of the Sedalia Rod & Gun Club, where he served as chairman of the board. He was a member of the West Central Missouri Vintage Auto Club and enjoyed fixing up classic autos. He was a former member of the Pettis County Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was a mentor to the young shooters in 4-H. He enjoyed going to flea markets. He enjoyed helping people and spending time with his dogs, Teddy and Sidney. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 1494.
Also surviving are several cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Curtis Luetjen.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Chapman and the Rev. Vincent Hoying officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bothwell Hospice, American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Albert D. Mullins, Lincoln
Albert David Mullins, 92, of Lincoln, born Dec. 1, 1915, in Green Ridge, a son of James M. and Lydia E. Hughes Mullins. On Jan. 21, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., he was died June 24, 2007.
He was raised in the Green Ridge area. He was a corporal in the Army Air Force during World War II. He lived and worked in California as a self-employed foundry man, before returning to Missouri.
He was an active outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. The Colorado River was one of his favorite places. He spent a lot of time working his land and was known for his tomatoes and cantaloupes. He was also active in raising horses and land development.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Hulse, of Pahrump, Nev.; a brother, Jewell Mullins, of Windsor; a sister, Imogene White, of Windsor; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Larry David Mullins; three brothers; and two sisters.
Private burial will be in Antioch died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Garden View Care Center, O’Fallon.
She was married John E. Vannoy, who survives of O’Fallon.
She graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1940. She received her teaching certificate from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg in 1942. She began teaching at Southside School, a one-room schoolhouse in Ionia. She taught for 37 years with an emphasis in history, retiring in 1982 from Cole Camp School. She was a sports enthusiast and was a big supporter of Cole Camp basketball during her years as a teacher. She served as the head of concessions for many years. She was a member of the Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia. Her most enjoyable times came later in life as a grandparent Cemetery in rural Green Ridge. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.

Roscoe R. Gibson, Tipton
Roscoe Ray Gibson, 90, of Tipton, born Aug. 20, 1917, in Huntsville, a son of Byron C. and Cordia R. Hughes Gibson. On Feb. 9, 1940, in Columbia, he was died Nov. 11, 2005.
He grew up near Huntsville. He received a degree in vocational agriculture from the University of Missouri in 1939.
He taught vocational agriculture in California, Mo., for two years. He enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and was the navigator and second in command on a landing craft support boat. He served most of his duty near Japan. He was discharged in 1946.
He worked with the State Department of Education, setting up vocational training for veterans, for a short time. He started the vo-ag department at Tipton High School in 1946. He taught high school students and had large classes of adult farmers during his 26 years of teaching. He started the agriculture business program at State Fair Community College in 1969. He taught there for 15 years. He was a member of Tipton United Methodist Church and Tipton American Legion.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip Gibson, and his wife, Meg Darkow, of Columbia, and Dean Gibson, and his wife, Michelle, of Clarksburg; a daughter, Susan Williams, and her husband, Wesley, of Clarksburg; a brother, Van Gibson, of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Ryan Gibson, Brent Gibson, Connor Gibson, Fred Williams, Daniel Williams, Elyse Gibson, Abby Gibson, and Seth Gibson; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Alvin Gibson, Harry Gibson, Donnie Gibson and Arnold Gibson; and two sisters, Irene Gibson and Christine Broaddus.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tipton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Bullock officiating. Pallbearers will be Brad Norman, Ronnie Long, Pat Snorgrass, Don Snorgrass, Fred Williams and Daniel Williams. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
