Joseph Ray “Frenchie” LeMaire
Joseph Ray “Frenchie” LeMaire, 76, of Sedalia, born in Cow Island, Louisiana on January 21, 1932, son of Geneus and Odile Hargrave LeMaire. On February 26, 1954 in Sedalia he died on June 23, 2006.
Mr. LeMaire was a Catholic and he was an Air Force Veteran of 28 years serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars earning the rank of Tech Sergeant E6. He and his wife owned LeMaire’s Cajun Catfish and Seafood House. Frenchie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, Elks and VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Rikki LeMaire and his wife, Angie of Loffelscheid, West Germany, and Joseph LeMaire, and his wife, Gail, of Sedalia; a daughter, Vickki Abey, of Smithton; two brothers, Cliff LeMaire, Metairie, LA, and J.L. LeMarie, of Kaplan, LA; a sister, Della Trahan, of New Sarpy, LA; 14 grandchildren, Sheila Abey, Mark Abey, James Abey, Susan McCandless, Tina Graham, Timothy LeMaire, Christina LeMaire, Stefanie LeMaire, Danielle LeMaire, David LeMaire, Ben Armstrong, Jason Armstrong and Stephanie Hopewell; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Kearney LeMaire and two sisters, Delores Dee LeMaire and Audrey LeMaire.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Bracy Hill officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mark Abey, Joshua McCandless, Jason Armstrong, Tim LeMaire, James Abey and Dan Brown.
Burial will be in Crown Hill died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Naydne Burton Franken, who survives of the home.
Mr. Young was a self-employed carpenter and roofer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the boat with his nephew, Joe Young, and his wife. He loved to go to his lake home every year with his close friends, Dan Brown, Ray LeMaire and Lawrence Koukett. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting with his grandson, Robbie. He enjoyed traveling to Texas two or three times a year to visit his sister, Lois, and her husband, Pete, and his nephew, Terry Reichel.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 1494 in Sedalia, and South Texas Trail Riders in Corpus Christi, Texas, for sixteen years. He had recently celebrated his 80th birthday with a surprise birthday party hosted by his niece, Jackie Allee.
Also surviving are a son, Willis W. Young, and his wife, Leah, of Sedalia; three stepsons, W.D. Franken, and his wife, Pat, of Sedalia, John Franken, and his wife, Dee, of Kansas City, and Steve Franken, of Sedalia; two stepdaughters, Linda Prout, of Springfield, and Carolyn Erfurth, of Sedalia; a son-in-law, Robert Erfurth, of Smithton; a brother, Harvey Young, of Sedalia; a sister, Lois Trimnal, and her husband, Pete, of San Antonio, Texas; 16 grandchildren, Sabrina Platt, Willis Young, Brian Young, Crystal Johnson, Cheryl Franken, Shelly Franken, Brian Franken, Jake Evans, Heather Evans, Angie Prout, Robbie Erfurth, Jessie Erfurth, Mike Franken, Jack Franken, Gina Franken and Allie Franken; and six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Jackie Young; three brothers, his twin, Wilbur Young, Jim Young and Ed Young; and two sisters, Ethel Young and Eva Young.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Wasson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brian Young, Terry Reichel, Joe Young, Jimmie Young, Jeff Young and Jerry Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willis Young, Steve Platt, Ray LeMaire, Dan Brown, William Murray, Robert Erfurth, Russell Craig, Kenny Pabst, Bob Yeater, Dave Petree, Charlie Brown, G.C. Brown, Steve Brown, Michael Brown, Brian Franken, Robbie Erfurth, Jessie Erfurth, Mike Franken and Jack Franken.
Burial will be in Crown Hill passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Fair View Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Robert E. McCurdy
Robert E. McCurdy, 89, of Hughesville, born March 2, 1920, in Hughesville, a son of James Elmore and Lillian May McCurdy. On March 20, 1943, in Washington, D.C., he Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Janice "Kathy" Spear
Janice Katherine "Kathy" Spear, 55, of Sedalia, born March 17, 1954, in Sedalia, a daughter of Louis Avery and Lydia Matilda Lappat Keele.
Kathy was a member of St. Patrick Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved her family.
Surviving are a sister, Sherlene Belanger, of Warrensburg; two brothers, Leroy Keele, of Sedalia, and Donald Keele, of Warsaw; her companion, Terry Anderson, of Sedalia; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
A Rosary Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Heckart Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 5 p.m.
Athelene Young
Athelene Young, 65, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
