Megan E. Tate, 1989-2006, Tipton
Megan Elyse Tate, 17, of Tipton, born July 20, 1989, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Trent Tate and Shelly Foley.
Miss Tate was a junior at Tipton High School. She attended grade school in California and junior high in Latham.
She played softball and basketball. She was on the cheerleading squad and was a member of the FFA Chapter at Tipton High School.
Surviving are her parents; two sisters, Katie Tate, of Tipton, and Tori Tate, of Pilot Grove; a brother, Dalton Tate, of Pilot Grove; two stepbrothers, Devin Thomas, of Pilot Grove, and Zack Mann, of Tipton; her maternal grandparents, Jeannie Rau, of Barnett, and Richard Rau, of Boulder, Colo.; her maternal great-grandparents, Phyllis Curtis, of Jamestown, and Paul Rau, of Fairway, Kan.; and her paternal grandparents, Charlene Howard, of Wichita, Kan., and Sid Tate, of Raytown.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Tipton, with the Rev. Jerry Skinner officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry McReynolds, Mitch Stockton, Adam Merriott, Andy Pace, Jason Thomas and Devin Thomas. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital and Geriatric Center in Winchester.
He was married to his wife, Louise, who Cemetery in Marshall. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Skradski Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan., where the rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Jefferson County Hospital and Geriatric Center.
Mr. Lewis Jenkins
Lewis Paul Jenkins, 82, of Las Animas, Colorado, formerly of Sedalia, born November 2, 1920, in Sedalia, son of Jonathon Otto and Linnie Jenkins.
While living in Sedalia, Mr. Jenkins was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was employed by Missouri-Pacific Railroad Shops in the sheet metal department for over ten years. He later moved to Las Animas, Colorado, and became active in the automobile business as a Ford and Mercury dealer for 35 years. He is a member of the First Nazarene Church in LaJunta.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Edna Jenkins, of the home; a son, Paul John Jenkins of Las Animas; a granddaughter, Paula Kay Fahrenholtz of Wichita, Kansas; and four sisters, Opal White of Greenville, Illinois, Beulah Mae Krzoski of Harrisburg, Missouri, Helen Cairer of Sedalia, and Ruth Krzoski of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Wedel officiating.
Pallbearers will be Robert Castor, Rhonda Chalfant, Karen Fowler, David Krzoski, Adam Fahrenholtz and Sharon Moyer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Landis, John White, Dean Moore and Gerald Anderson.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at the funeral home. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler, Colorado, and Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home in Sedalia, Missouri.
Goldy M. Jaeger
Goldy M. Jaeger, 93, of Smithton, born October 16, 1910, in Florence, Missouri, daughter of Louis and Mattie Stoecker Rehmer. On August 9, 1931, in Smithton, she died in 1970.
Mrs. Jaeger was a member of Smithton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Goldy attended Trinity Lutheran Church and school in Pyrmont, Missouri, during her childhood. After her marriage to George in 1931, they moved to a farm near Smithton, where they resided until she moved to the town of Smithton in 1975. In 1999, she moved to Stoney Ridge Village in Sedalia. Goldy will be fondly remembered for her many quilts and pies donated to the Smithton United Methodist Church Lord's Acre Sale.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Antoine, of Sedalia; a son, Dennis Jaeger, of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Cindy Gerke, Larry Jaeger, Kyle Antoine, Carolee Gipson, Chris Jaeger and David Jaeger; six great grandchildren, Travis Gipson, Nicole Gipson, Whitney Antoine, Garrett Antoine, Tyler Gerke and Adam Gerke; and a friend of the family, Betty Woodall. She was preceded in Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Smithton United Methodist Church.
Mr. William Jacques
William M. Jacques, 47, of Sedalia, born August 23, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, son of Conrad and Martha Martinez Ruybal.
William was a former Marine reservist and was very proud of serving his country. He liked to hunt and fish and had trophies to show his skills. He was an outdoor person and when moving to this area he moved into a house in the country. His occupation early on was in carpentry where he advanced from framing homes, to being a finishing carpenter. However, moving into this area, he found a home with River Valley Rendering Plant in Sedalia, where he was employed for two years. He enjoyed his work so much he hardly ever missed a day. He never missed a day of visiting his parents going or coming from work. He was always willing to work overtime. He was fascinated in Indians and their way of life. He collected pictures and artifacts of them. He tanned pelts, collected bones and skulls, which he carved or painted. He was a model son with his cheerful outlook and his independence. He was a remarkable uncle to his nephews and nieces, and the whole family will truly miss him.
Survivors include two brothers, Alfred Jacques of California and Bernard Bierschbach of Sedalia; a sister, Virginia Privett; a brother-in-law, Bradley; four nephews; six nieces; aunts, Chole Abreo, wife of John Abreo, Eva Olivas, wife of Jose Olivas, and Velia Gutieres; and an uncle, Joaquin Martinez, husband of Licha Martinez; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with Father Jack Behen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Privett, Victor Gonzales, Mike Nelson, Rick Lindgren, Bernard Bierschbach and Derek Garrigus.
Burial will be in Crown Hill funeral service Monday.
Stella L. Jackson
Stella Lee Jackson, 94, of Sedalia, born April 24, 1910, in Syracuse, daughter of Henry and Gertrude Bilderbach Forster. On April 4, 1931, in Sedalia, she was died on September 17, 1968.
Mrs. Jackson worked at Interstate Studio and Lamy’s. She lived in Sedalia most of her life and was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. She liked flowers.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Jackson, and his wife, Lena, of Sedalia, and Larry D. Jackson, and his wife, Betty, of Sedalia; a daughter, Carol Girten, and her husband, Jim, of Sedalia; two sisters, Dora Baker, of Sedalia, and Margaret Overly, of Kansas City; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
