Norman E. Holden
Norman Eugene Holden, 67, Sedalia, born September 15, 1936, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, son of William and Emma Holden. In 1969 he died in 1995.
Mr. Holden was a catholic. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591 where he served on the Honor Guard. He was a retired United States Army Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Kay Clay, Headrick, Oklahoma; Donna McLaughlin, Texas City, Texas; two sons, Keith Holden, Abilene, Texas; William Amos Holden, Orlando, Florida; three brothers, John Holden, Bill Holden and Wayne Holden, all of Wisconsin; a twin sister, Norma Rogney, Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri with the Father Vincent Hoying officiating.
Pallbearers will be Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association.
Adelaide L. Hoehns
Adelaide “Addie” Loraine Hoehns, 72, of Mora, born June 22, 1931, in Pettis County, daughter of Ulrey Seburn and Nannie Bell Anderson Eye. On June 17, 1951, at Goodwill Chapel United Methodist Church in Sedalia, she was death by two brothers, Don Eye and Robert Eye.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Downing, Jr. officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jason Craig, Brandon Craig, Craig Hoehns, Shawn Hoehns, Trevor Hoehns, Trenton Hoehns, Marty Ferguson and Scott Hoehns.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 7 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
Mr. Daniel Hickman, Sr.
Daniel Hickman, Sr., 64, of Sedalia, born May 6, 1939, in Mt. Moriah, Missouri, son of Forrest Kelly and Bertha Mae (Turner) Hickman.
Mr. Hickman worked as a machinist for a steel company and had lived in Sedalia since 1996, moving here from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Survivors include five sons, Lynden Hickman of Minot, North Dakota, Curtis Hickman of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Kelly Hickman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Daniel Hickman, Jr. of Sedalia, and Jimmy Hickman of Sedalia; a daughter, Cora Corzette of Minot, North Dakota; a brother, Almo Hickman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Virginia Barbie of Des Moines, Iowa, and Rosalee Spears of Illinois; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in died Saturday, October 16, 2004, at his sister’s home in Marshall.
He was married to Mary Frances Walker, who cemetery in the surrounding area. He was baptized in 1944 in Broadway Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. He served faithfully as deacon, elder, head usher, on the worship committee. He was a member of the Mariners, a Sunday evening club of Presbyterian members. He was recognized for fifty years of membership on December 18, 1994.
He enjoyed playing golf at the Sedalia Country Club, where he was a member. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Knife and Fork Club, the Kiwanis Club, and was an excellent bridge player.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred Smith, of Marshall; many nieces and nephews, including Jamie and Michael Ontkean, Clyde and Lynn Smith, Judy and Ron Robinson, Skip and Martha Deady, and Jerry and Diane Faulkner.
He was predeceased by his parents; his step mother, Mildred Neeley Faulkner; and a brother, William Clyde Heynen.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Wheeler officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ron Robinson, Jerry Faulkner, Francis “Skip” Deady and Bob Gardner.
Burial will be in Crown Hill died Monday, September 13, 2004, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
He was died Sunday, January 11, 2004, at Fair View Nursing Home.
He was married Eula Autry, who death by his parents; a daughter, Sue Wollard; two brothers, Warren Hendricks and Earl Hendricks; and a sister, Florence J. Hendricks.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Moore, Dennis Miller, Donald Steele, Ward Wollard, Clell Furnell and Leonard Kinsey.
Burial will be in Gott Cemetery, in Ulman, Missouri.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the Mid Missouri Humane Society.
