Mandy Jo Koehn, of Stover, born May 31, 2006, at Columbia Regional Hospital, a daughter of Paul Dominic and Marcy Jantz Koehn.
Surviving are her parents; a brother, Clay Dominic Koehn; and a sister, Morgan Kate Koehn, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Paul and Janell Koehn, of Stover; maternal grandparents, Jerome and Janice Jantz, of Living Story, Calif.;and maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Jantz, of Livingston, Calif.
She was predeceased by a brother, Cole Dominic Koehn on Nov. 6, 2002.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Church of God In Christ Mennonite - Oak Ridge Congregation, with Don Wedel officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.
She was married to Albert William Smothers, who Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lake Ozark Area Home Health and Hospice.
Helen R. Stuenkel, 1914-2006, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Helen Reith Stuenkel, 91, of Ann Arbor, Mich., formerly of Concordia, born Oct. 13, 1914, in Carpenter, Ill., a daughter of the Louis and Hedwig Wihlborg Reith. She was a graduate of Concordia High School. On August 8, 1937, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, she was died May 19, 2001.
Mr. Stuenkel was ordained at St. Paul's the same day the couple was Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to service time Friday.
Memorials may be made to The Rev. Dr. Walter and Helen Stuenkel Scholarship Fund at Concordia University Wisconsin or the donor's charity of choice c/o Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.
Vivian L. Herndon, 1932-2006, Kansas City
Vivian Louise "Granny" Herndon, 74, of Kansas City, formerly of Sedalia, born March 29, 1932, in Kansas City, a daughter of Raymond and Beatrice Hurtt. She was married Claude Herndon Jr.
She attended Attucks Elementary in Rosedale, Kan. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in Bonner Springs, Kan. in 1950.
She was a longtme member of New Hope Baptist Church. After retiring from AT&T;, she moved to Sedalia. She attended beauty school and became a licensed beautician. She was co-owned and operated "Viv's Place" beauty salon, as well as "Gramp's News and Shoeshine" on Main Street in Sedalia.
She became a member of New Solid Rock Missinary Baptist Church in Kansas City. She raised one of her grandchildren, Charlice Manning. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing canasta with her friends at the Elliot Place Retirement Community, where she once lived. Her hobbies were working jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed attending church, teaching vacation Bible school, traveling and attending family reunions. She looked forward to winters in Texas.
Surviving are three sons, Thurma Craney, and his wife, T.C., of Kansas City, Marvin Craney and his wife, Sheryl, of Las Vegas, and Keith Craney, of San Jose, Calif.; five daughters, B. Rita Smith and her husband, James, of Lewisville, Texas; Yolanda Thompkins and her husband, Gayther, of Kansas City; Rosalyn Logan, of Kansas City, Nanette Mills and her husband, Robert, of Raytown, Joyce Boyd and her husband, Larentz, of Raytown; a sister, Edna Beatty, of Kansas City; a brother, Lewis Hurtt Sr., of Kansas City, two sisters-in-law, Gloria Wright and Helen Spruell, both of Sedalia; and 17 grandchildren, Paul Larentz, Charlice, DerMonte, Marta I, Robert II "Bobby", Rashaun, Robert III "Robby," Claude Ramone, Eric, Shante, Theron, Decole, Steven, James, Brian and Sha Va; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by six sisters, Mamie Warwick, D. Lorraine Hayes, Dorothy Hurtt, Bessie H. Thursby, Liska Johnson and Sammie E. Venerable.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the New Solid Rock Missonary Baptist Church at 5007 E. 24th Street in Kansas City. Burial will be in the Forest Hill died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Doris Dean Parrish, who survives of the home.
Mr. Klein attended St. John's School in Bahner. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a farmer and a driver for Fischer's Concrete for 34 years, never missing a day of work.
Mr. Klein enjoyed playing cards, traveling and going to estate auctions and flea markets. He was an avid blood donor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he served on the Parish Council, was an usher and an initial supporter of the Sacred Heart Bazaar.
Also surviving are two children, Charity Lucinda "Cindy" Dey and her husband, Tom, of Bahner and Melanie Ann Benitz and her husband, Doug, of Sedalia; a brother, Donald L. Klein, of Bahner; five sisters, Virginia Klein and Martha J. Doogs, both of Sedalia, Carolyn Kaiser and Shari Farrington, both of Cole Camp and Shirley Harbit, of Lee's Summit; and three grandchildren, Jacob Dey, Jared Dey and Sarah Benitz.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Logan and Marie Garrett.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Vincent Hoying officiating.
Pallbearers will be Doug Benitz, Tom Dey, Joe Fischer, Dan Fischer, Frank Cooley and Jeff Pearl. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Duke, Lloyd Stevens, Larry Stoermer, Mark Kanak, Pete Shirky and Doug Rundlett.
Burial will be in Calvary died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Roxane Salisbury, of Sedalia, who survives.
He lived in Kansas City for many years. He had been employed for 15 years as a cable splicer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Ozarks. He was a football fan.
Also surviving are two sons, John Cody Taylor, of Sedalia, and Robert Jacob Taylor, of Lincoln, two daughters, Sarah Beth Schulz, of Independence, and Jennifer Rene Johnson, of Blue Springs, two brothers, Richard Taylor, of St. Charles, and Larry Taylor, of Warsaw, a sister, Joyce Givens, of Fort Sill, Okla., and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Wayne Nelson officiating. Graveside services and burial of the cremated remains will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Lincoln.
