Shirley L. O'Dell, 1935-2006, Sedalia
Shirley L. O'Dell, 70, of Sedalia, born Nov. 7, 1935, in Kansas City, a daughter of Oscar I. Sr. and Myrtle Alexander Lawson. She was married to James O'Dell, who survives of the home.
Mrs. O'Dell was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in North Kansas City.
Also surviving are a son, Billy Kroeger, of Kansas City; three stepsons, James Charles O'Dell, of Voltern, Harold Wayne O'Dell, of Kansas City, and Ronald Lee O'Dell, of Centerview; two stepdaughters, Diana O'Dell, of Lee's Summit, and Evelyn O'Dell of Higginsville; two brothers, Oscar I. Lawson, of Independence, and Franklin R. Lawson, of Kansas City, Kan.: a sister, Anna Bell Thurman, of Kansas City, Kan.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Alma Lawson.
Funeral services will be a 1 p.m. Monday at the Moore Funeral Home in La Monte. The body will be cremated after services. There will be no visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Fund.
Charles E. Paige, 1919-2006, Lebanon
Charles E. Paige, 87, of Lebanon, born Feb. 27, 1919, in Sedalia, a son of George and Hattie Belle Wadleigh Paige. On Dec. 26, 1942, he was Cemetery.
Visitation will follow services Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Roger L. Findley, 1930-2006, Clifton City
Roger Lee Findley, 75, of Clifton City, born May 29, 1930, in Marshall, a son of Abbie Findley. On March 10, 1954, in Fortuna, he was died April 9, 2001.
Mr. Findley was a member of Providence Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591, the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post 642. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and gardening, and could fix anything. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1949 to 1953. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and had lived in Otterville and Clifton City all of his life.
Surviving are four sons, Roger D. Findley, of Clifton City, Cue Findley, of Otterville, Aaron Lacey, of Pilot Grove, and Sam Biggs, of Warrensburg; a daughter, Sondra McFatrich, of Smithton; his stepfather, Cue Potter, of Sedalia; a brother, Ernie Potter, of Sedalia; a sister, Velma Petree, of Sedalia; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Chapman officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Parker, Chris Ream, Larry Arnold, David Baysinger, John Turley and Leonard Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Jess Closser and Bill Eads. Burial will be in Ionia died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Marvin L. Vajen, 1932-2006, Mora
Marvin Lester Vajen, 73, of Mora, born May 7, 1932, near Lake Creek, a son of Amos Edward and Lillie Pauline Schlesselman Vajen.
Mr. Vajen was a member of Brauersville Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Cole Camp. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker and built and remodeled homes. He enjoyed woodworking and rebuilding his Model-T Ford. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 305 of Cole Camp and of the Lake Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are several cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister who Cemetery in rural Cole Camp, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 305 of Cole Camp.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with visitation to follow.
