David D. Carrender, 1933-2006, Syracuse
David Duane Carrender, 72, of Syracuse, born March 18, 1933, in Jefferson City, a son of Mart and Maud Hoskins Carender. On Nov. 29, 1958, he was died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at her home.
She was Cemetery. Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Show-Me Christian Youth Home in La Monte.
Charles S. Wendt, 1922-2006, Houstonia
Charles Sherwood "Chuck" Wendt, 83, of rural Houstonia, born March 27, 1922, in Akron, Iowa, a son of Paul and Nellye Morten Wendt. On July 28, 1946, he was died in 1979. In 1980, he Cemetery in Brumley.
Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Penny's Art Fund of the Sedalia School District Foundation, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society, in care of the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
Scott A. Mureen, 1952-2006, Houstonia
Scott Allen Mureen, 53, of rural Houstonia, born July 16, 1952, a son of John A. and Mabel N. Mureen.
Mr. Mureen was raised in Olathe, Kan. He attended Ridgeview Elementary and Olathe Junior High School. He was a 1970 graduate of Olathe High School. He was a security police officer in the Air Force for more than 20 years. He was stationed at bases in San Antonio, Texas; Homestead, Fla.; Ankara, Turkey; Wichita, Kan.; and retired from Whiteman Air Force Base in 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Shantel Scanlon, of Wichita, and Angela J. Bird-Meyer, of Warrensburg; his stepfather, Frank Vernon, of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Richard E. Mureen, of Olathe, and Johnnie Taylor, of Louisburg, Kan.; a sister, Tammy Vernon-Beullens, of Olathe; and two grandsons, Asher Bird-Meyer and Lucas Bird-Meyer, both of Warrensburg.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Memorial Circle of Olathe died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at his home, after a four-year battle with cancer.
He was Cemetery in Florence. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
Anna M. Behrens, 1906-2006, Sedalia
Anna Margaret Behrens, 99, of Sedalia, born July 26, 1906, in Sedalia, a daughter of August and Minnie Gubasta Meier. On Oct. 13, 1924, in Sedalia, she was died in 1991.
Mrs. Behrens was a lifetime homemaker and worked for "Full Cry" magazine for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Margie McKelvey, and her husband, Ralph, of Louisville, Ohio, and Rosann Saddler, and her husband, Henry, of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Vince Hoying officiating.Pallbearers will be Mike Kiesel, Todd Croolston, Chris Martin, Jeff Moore, Clint Trautmann and Dennis Mueller. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Imhauser, Joe Imhauser and Zack McKelvey. Burial will be in Calvary died Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Sedalia from injuries suffered during a tornado.
She was born July 18, 1966, in Denver.
Surviving are five children, Candyce Carbojal, Larissa Dotson, Jessica and Jennifer Taylor and Alex Sollman; her mother, Dee Furbee, of Sterling, Colo.; her father and stepmother, Ron and Elaine Roelker, of Macks Creek; a brother, Ron Roelker, of Fort Collins, Colo.; and a sister, Debra Davis of Sterling.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, with the Rev. Marc Magana officiating. There will be no visitation.
