Edna G. Everett, 1922-2005, Pilot Grove
Edna Grace Everett, 82, of Pilot Grove, born Sept. 12, 1922, near Blackwater, a daughter of John and Nellie Smith Davis. On Jan. 18, 1948, she was died in 1969.
Mrs. Everett was a homemaker and had several jobs throughout her lifetime. She graduated from high school in Pilot Grove and was a member of the Methodist Church. She lived in California for several years, then lived in Las Vegas for more than 20 years before returning to Pilot Grove in 2001.
Survivors include two sisters, Nellie Young and Dorothy Rentel, both of Pilot Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, a brother, Vincent Davis, and a sister, Mary Frances Bean.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove, with the Rev. Wayne Colflesh officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Grove died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Jessie Tanner. In August 1953, in Branson, he was married to Ethel Mae "Pat" Johnston Brown, who survives of the home.
Mr. Petree worked for Menefee Construction Co. driving a lowboy truck for more than 32 years. He was a member of Teamster Local 534. He enjoyed traveling, attending auctions, collecting toy trucks and spending time with his family.
Survivors also include three daughters, Susanne Kay Hartter, of Kansas, Pamela Sue Keele, of Sedalia, and Annetta Lou Hagen, of Kansas City; two brothers, John Norman Petree Sr. and Russell Earl Petree, both of Sedalia; a sister, Margaret Adeline Murray, and husband, William, of Sedalia; a son-in-law, Douglas Crank Jr., of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Constance Carol Crank; two sisters, Bertha Young and Wanda Griffin; and seven brothers, Homer Petree, Carl Petree, Leon Petree, Orval Petree, Herbert Petree, Harold Petree and Eddie Petree.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Faron Crank, Tony Crank, Shane Hagen, Riley Keele, Chris Keele and Orval Petree Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Crank Jr., Jackie Arnold, Amy Fly, Christine Hagen, Kenny Petree, Mary Ostrander and John Dean Petree.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Melissa A. Sarver, 1971-2005, Sedalia
Melissa Ann Waggoner Sarver, 33, of Sedalia, born June 12, 1971, in Sedalia, a daughter of Daniel and Beverly Henderson Waggoner. On July 21, 2001, in Sedalia, she was died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Lee's Summit Hospital in Lee's Summit.
He was married to Jewell Bradley, who survives of the home.
Mr. Bradley moved to Warsaw from Springfield in the 1960. He worked for Skelly Oil Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a 49-year member of United Masonic Lodge No. 5 in Springfield.
Survivors also include a daughter, Judy Crisp, and husband, Ben, of Hollister; a son, Eddie Bradley, of Lee's Summit; a stepdaughter, Linda Adcox, and husband, Dan, of Lee's Summit; a stepson, Dan Howe, and wife, Marilyn, of Lee's Summit; a stepdaughter-in-law, Kathy Howe, of Blue Springs; a grandson, Kevin Bradley; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be in Shawnee died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Mary Louise Miller, who survives of the home.
Mr. Harris was a member of the Anderson Branch Baptist Church, in Madison County, N.C. He was an Army veteran, serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 305 in Cole Camp and Countryside Aerie No. 4286, Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Lakeside. He enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, trying to grow roses, watching wildlife, spending time with his family and friends, and teasing his grandchildren.
Survivors also include three daughters, Stella L. Harris and Hester A. Clifton, and husband, Ricky, all of Warrensburg, and Leslie B. Coskey, and husband, Rob, of Warsaw; a son, Clark H. Harris of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Geraldine Dreibelbis, of Tonawanda, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Renick Clifton, Rhiannon Clifton, Moira Clifton, and Gareth Clifton, all of Warrensburg, and Madison Coskey, of Warsaw.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Chassey Harris and Vivian Kahl, and three brothers, Emerson Harris, Brownlow Harris and Charles Harris.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with Pastor Bob Giffin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
Charles R. Robb, 1916-2005, Warsaw
Charles R. Robb, 88, of Warsaw, born April 14, 1916, in Benton County, a son of Walter B. and Lucille Cobb Robb. On Nov. 3, 1949, in Excelsior Springs, he was died.
Mr. Robb was a pipe fitter for Phillips Petroleum until he retired and moved to Warsaw in 1963. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Elk's Lodge 2783 in Warsaw and First United Methodist Church in Warsaw.
Survivors include a son, C.A. Robb, and wife, Susan, of Warsaw; two daughters, Charlyne Grantham, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Sharon Robb, of Pleasant Hill; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, with the Rev. Diana Loomis officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw with military rites by American Legion Post 217 of Warsaw.
Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
