Dorothy Marie Baldwin, 1928-2004, Sedalia
Dorothy Marie Baldwin, 76, of Sedalia, born on Jan. 17, 1928, in New London, a daughter of Herbert and Catherine Roberts Smith.
On February 18, 1950, in Harrison, Ark., she was died Feb. 5, 1978.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included quilting, needlepoint, word search puzzles and making afghans. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's ball games and was a baseball fan.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Fillinger and Dallas Baldwin, both of Sedalia and C.E. Baldwin, of Spring Hill, Kan.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Jared Fillinger.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill McVey officiating. Pallbearers will be Rock Hoffman, Gary Meyer, Max Coble, John Boatman, Dick McQuitty and Steve Swafford.
Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society or to the Smithton Area Foundation for Education (SAFE), in care of the funeral home.
Jane Swift, 1925-2004, Warsaw
Jane Swift, 78, of Warsaw, born near Climax Springs, on Oct. 7, 1925, a daughter of George Ross and Allie Elston Husong Flippin. In 1946, she was Cemetery in Warsaw. There will be no visitation. She will lie in state at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw after 9 a.m. Saturday.
The family suggests memorial contributions the St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Mont., in care of the funeral home.
Pat Taylor, 1940-2004, Versailles
Pat Taylor, 64, of Versailles, born March 10, 1940, in Elisabeth, Ark., a daughter of Elmer and Pauline Russel Huett.
On Nov. 20, 1960, in Mountain Home, Ark., she was died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Sweet Springs Villa.
She was married to Richard L. Peterson, who preceded her in married, she taught at three rural schools in her home community. Then she was a principal and sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade teacher.
She worked at International Shoe Co. for 30 years. After her retirement, she was the administrator for Sweet Springs Senior Center from 1977 to 1987. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs, where in earlier years she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years and a member of the Women's Society.
Surviving are several cousins.
She was predeceased by a sister.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Beverly Health Care in Jefferson City.
She was Cemetery in St. Louis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
Mary L. Ramsey, 1906-2004, Chicago
Mary Louise Ramsey, 97, of Chicago, formerly of Knob Noster, born July 1, 1906, in Knob Noster, a daughter of Frederick L. and Fannie O'Bannon Ramsey.
Miss Ramsey graduated from Knob Noster High School, University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where she received a law degree. She practiced law in Chicago and Washington D.C.
Surviving are several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Fredlyn Ramsey.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday in LaMonte Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Tresenriter officiating.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. June 16 at Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home in La Monte.
