Eva P. Oldham, 1941-2004, Syracuse
Eva Pauline Oldham, 63, of Syracuse, born April 21, 1941, in Sedalia, a daughter of Arthur Houchen and Pauline Rodenbach Houchen. On Dec. 5, 1959, at United Church of Christ in Florence, she was Cemetery in Florence.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice.
Aleda S. Fritz, 1925-2004, Sedalia
Aleda S. Fritz, 78, of Sedalia, born July 26, 1925 in Summersville, a daughter of Ramon Holmes and Viola Haeffner Stoops. On June 10, 1950, in St. Louis, she died in August 1986.
Mrs. Fritz was raised and educated in Washington, Mo. and St. Louis. She was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She taught nursing. After moving to Sedalia, she worked as a registered nurse at Bothwell Regional Health Center and also worked for the Sedalia 200 School District as a school nurse.
When she was a child, she enjoyed fishing and camping. She was an excellent seamstress, liked to play bridge, loved gardening and flowers and enjoyed cooking. In later years, she was helped by her daughter-in-law Gail Fritz, who she regarded as a daughter.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Robert Fritz, Jr. (Jay), of Troy, Steven A. Fritz, of Sedalia, John Gordon Fritz, of Kansas City; a brother, Larry Stoops, of Aransas Pass, Texas; two sisters, Veneta Brunk of Melborne, Fla., Judith Weston of Summersville; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Douglas Stoops.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tom Albers officiating.
Pallbearers will be Judge Donald Barnes, Rick Morris, Roger Sydow, Robert Fritz, Warren Preuitt, and Emmett Fairfax.
Burial will be in Memorial Park died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Marvin L. Dawson, 1930-2004, Sedalia
Marvin Lee Dawson, 74, of Sedalia, born Feb. 22, 1930, in Houstonia, a son of Oke Dawson and Vici Messer Dawson Cooper. On Dec. 27, 1950, in Little Rock, Ark., he was died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was married to Ruth Blankenship, who died Nov. 14, 1996.
Mr. Hickey was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was a carpenter most of his life and was health and welfare director of the Carpenters Union in Boston, Mass. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to spring training camps in Florida. He was twice past commander of American Legion Post 642. He also enjoyed music and loved to dance.
Survivors include a son, Jim Hickey, of Sedalia; a daughter, Jody Bergevin, of Woburn, Mass.; a brother, Francis Hickey, of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Betty Ryan, of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Bernadette Kenison, of Bedford, Mass.; four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Billy Hickey, John Hickey and an infant brother, and two sisters, Theresa Henderson and Mary Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home, with Father Tom Albers officiating. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with full military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.
Pallbearers will be Butch Blankenship, Mike Blankenship, Jim Peterson, Dan Loucks, Don Schieszer and Harvey Young.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
