Ella M. Comstock, 1935-2004, Grain Valley
Ella Mae Comstock, 69, of Grain Valley, formerly of Versailles, born Feb. 15, 1935, in Bardley, a daughter of Paul and Pauline Purl Schmidt. On April 16, 1960, she was died April 18, 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Ernie Hibdon, of Oak Grove, and Gary Comstock, of Lawrence, Kan.; two daughters, Teenia Small, of Independence, and Paula Gregston, of Blue Springs; her mother, Pauline Schmidt, of Oak Grove; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with the Rev. David Mahurin officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at his home.
He was married to Debra A. Day Sprague, who survives of the home.
Mr. Nevins worked as a painter and drywall finisher in the Sedalia area. He enjoyed camping and fishing on Buffalo Creek.
Survivors also include two sisters, Terri Hogue, of Liberty, and Judith Fisher, of Kansas City; one brother, Randall Nevins, of Wichita, Kan.; two aunts, two uncles and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Gary Nevins.
Graveside services and burial will be at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2004, at the Union-Williams died Friday, May 28, 2004, at his home.
He was married to Delores Carrier, who survives of the home.
Mr. Locascio enjoyed living on his island and reading.
Survivors also include three sons, David Locascio, of Lee's Summit, Russell Locascio, of Joplin, and Charles Locascio IV, of Kingsville; two daughters, Mary Locascio, of Joplin, and Pamela Lakey, of Warrensburg; three stepdaughters, Diana Thompson, of Sunrise Beach, Barb Anderson, of Grandview, and Tina Holiday, of Gravois Mills; two brothers, Bill Locascio, of Kansas, and Jim Locascio, of Gravois Mills; two sisters, Mary O'Sullivan, of Overland Park, Kan., and Rose O'Roark, of Holden; and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Anthony Locascio.
The body will be cremated. There will be no visitation.
Lesley A. Slayden, 1954-2004, Liberty
Lesley A. Slayden, 50, of Liberty, born Jan. 23, 1954, in Maryville, a daughter of Leslie L. and Dixie Lee Slayden.
Ms. Slayden was a chef and later was a long haul truck driver. She also was an artist.
Surviving are three children, Heather Cooper, of Green Ridge, Travis Millsap, of Liberty, and Jesse Millsap, of Lee's Summit; her mother, Dixie Harris, of Sedalia; her father and stepmother, Leslie and Doris Slayden, of Strong City, Kan.; her grandmother, Gertrude Lee, of Sedalia; three brothers, Phillip Slayden, of Kansas City, Randy Slayden, of Independence, and Kevin Harris, of Sedalia; and a grandson.
Memorial services were held May 22 at Community of Christ Church, New Walnut Park, in Independence.
The body was cremated by Mortician's Services in Kansas City.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Tyler Slayden Scholarship Fund in care of Jesse Millsap, 702B NE Hamel Place, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.
Earl W. Hagerman, 1908-2004, Versailles
Earl William Hagerman, 96, of Versailles, born March 8, 1908, in Rocky Mount, a son of Edward and Maud Sidebottom Hagerman. On Aug. 19, 1925, he was died April 3, 2002.
Mr. Hagerman worked for Kansas City Bifocal in Versailles. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Versailles. He was a minister for 76 years.
Surviving are two sisters, Etta Dane, of Eldon, and Nadine Osborn, of Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a foster son, Leo Wood; six brothers, Olen, Clifford, Homer, Aaron, Edward and an infant; and three sisters, Freda Hayes, Virgie Hayes and Geneva Hagerman.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with the Rev. Gary Petty and Leslie Howard officiating. Burial will be in Union died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
She was Cemetery in Windsor.

Marguerite E. Welliver, 1929-2004, Sedalia
Marguerite Ellen Welliver, 74, of Sedalia, born April 11, 1929, in Springfork, a daughter of Robert and Rose Mary Alt Welliver.
Ms. Welliver was raised and educated in Sedalia. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and was an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for several years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Communications Workers of America, Telephone Pioneers of America and the Missouri 4-H Alumni Association. She was very active in the Democratic Party in Kansas City.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert Welliver, of Boonville, Joseph Welliver, of Windsor, and William Welliver, of Riverside; and two sisters, Mary Jo McMullin, of La Monte, and Betty Rouchka, of Carmel, N.Y.; 17 nieces and nephews; and 20 great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Welliver, and a sister, Anna Mae Dick.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Vince Hoying officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim McMullin, Tom McMullin, Matthew McMullin, David Dick, Nick Welliver, Bobby Welliver, Nick Rouchka, and Tommy Welliver. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday with visitation to follow.
