Kathleen M. Johnson, 1961-2002, Syracuse
Kathleen Marie Johnson, 41, of Syracuse, born March 15, 1961, in Sedalia, a daughter of Raymond and Blanche Laird Simons. On Oct. 7, 1991, in Las Vegas, she was Cemetery Board and secretary of the Morgan County Enterprise Zone Committee. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Warsaw. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed spending time with her family and liked to attend auctions and flea markets and to travel.
Survivors also include her mother, Blanche Simons of Warsaw; a stepson, Staff Sgt. Jeff Johnson of Fort Carson, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Jody Bestgen of Lemoore, Calif.; two brothers, Stuart and Eddie Simons, both of Warsaw; a sister, Patty Kinkead of Warsaw; and five step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Simons, Matthew Simons, Mitch Burns, Curt Kline, Mark Olson and Bob Kueck. Honorary pallbearers will be Jane Burns, Melissa Burton, Debbie Battles, Sherry Soldan and Joan Nicks.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home in Tipton, where the family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Syracuse died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at Hacienda Care Center in Livermore, Calif.
She was married to Clarence A. Smith, who death by two brothers, John K. Rouse and Bertram Rouse; and two sisters, Dorothy Hartman and Elsa Rouse.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Rev. Sidney Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at her home.
She was married to Vernon Harvey, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Harvey was a Baptist and a Smith-Cotton High School graduate. She was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She later worked at Priddy's Shoe Store. She enjoyed cooking and being a grandmother.
Also surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Harms of Kansas City; two sons, Steven Harvey of Belton and Scott Harvey of Sedalia; her parents of Sedalia; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Anthony Chapman officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Harms, Kevin Woody, Tommy Hunter, Bill Dey, John Higgins, Bill Gray, Thomas Ragan and Clarence Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Grace Frederich, Charles Woody, Arvil Buchanan, Marion Schmidt, Bill Ray and John Harvey. Burial will be in Memorial Park died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was married Linda Susan Bradley, who survives of the home.
Mr. Evrard worked for General Motors in Kansas City and the Lake City Munitions Plant in Lake City for several years before moving to Oklahoma City, where he was self-employed as a mobile home installer. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks No. 1034 in Clinton.
Survivors also include two sons, Eric Evrard and Brian Evrard, both of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Betty Larsen of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was married Kathy Borgstadt, who survives of the home.
Mr. Brown was a graduate of Green Ridge High School. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War as a Seabee. He was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local No. 101, and was a heavy equipment operator for Kidwell Construction Co. of Greenwood.
He had lived in Concordia since 1982 and was a member of the Green Ridge Presbyterian Church.
Survivors also include a son, Brandon Brown; a stepson, Todd Loges of Concordia; a stepdaughter, Kris Sleeper of Concordia; a brother, Rudy Brown of Paris, Ky.; a sister, Linda Kumorowski of Wichita, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in died in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Concordia Baptist Church, with Steve Simko officiating. Burial with military rites will be at the Highland Sacred Gardens died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was married to Lee Corbett Redmond, who death by two sisters, Vivian M. Haggard and Helene L. Berry.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Jack Behen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Simon, Bret Williams, Tony Simon, Bill Turner, Nevin Almquist, Ron Dent and Bob Simon.
Friends may call after noon on Monday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, with family visitation to follow.
