Lewis A. Barnes, 1927-2004, Warsaw
Lewis A. Barnes, 76, of Warsaw, born April 6, 1927, in Leesville, a son of William Jasper and Mary Hopkins Barnes. On Feb. 2, 1945, in Warsaw, he married life.
Survivors also include a son, Roger Barnes, of Warsaw; three brothers, Ervin Barnes, of Warsaw, and Lowell Barnes and Darrell Barnes, both of Cole Camp; two sisters, Lou Ellen Borgman, of Holden, and Lila VanSchoiak, of Libby, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Leland Barnes, and two sisters, Lucille Hammond and LaVonne Barnes.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Warsaw Bible Church, with the Rev. Jason McCray officiating. Burial will be in Shawnee died early Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at her home.
She was married to Clarence Wilbur Church, who Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Windsor Senior Center, in care of the funeral home.
Mildred L. Thompson, 1923-2004, Bedford, Texas
Mildred Lorraine Thompson, 81, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of the Pettis County area, born Jan. 7, 1923, in Ionia, a daughter of Ned and Ruby Howery Barrow. On June 7, 1947, in Lexington, she was died Feb. 23, 1998.
Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Cole Camp High School. She was a beautician in Windsor before moving to Lebanon in 1962. She worked as a receptionist for the Appleby and Lowe families in the boat manufacturing business in Lebanon. She enjoyed watching all sports and being with her grandsons.
Survivors include a son, Robert Thompson, of Bedford, Texas; a sister, Arvella Elliott, of Sedalia; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elvis Durrill officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery Fund, in care of the funeral home.
Patricia Willmon, 1945-2004, Paris, Texas
Patricia Willmon, 58, of Paris, Texas, born March 22, 1945, in Sedalia, a daughter of Wilbur W. Neece and Mary Virginia Baldwin. On Aug. 6, 1979, in Durant, Okla., she was Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas.
Evelyn J. Jackson, 1926-2004, Sedalia
Evelyn Juanita Jackson, 77, of Sedalia, born March 28, 1926, in Beaman, a daughter of Walker Henry and Dorsey W. Shackelford Phillips. On March 9, 1944, in Searcy County, Ark., she was Cemetery in rural Pettis County, with Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.
There will be no visitation. Friends may sign the register after 9 a.m. Monday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Broadway Baptist Church.
Judy C. Acklin, 1946-2004, Nevada
Judy Clorine Acklin, 57, of Nevada, born Aug. 9, 1946, in West Plains, a daughter of Robert F. and Oma Coble Acklin.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Stanley and June Johnston, both of West Plains; three brothers, Ron Acklin, of Sedalia, and Donald Acklin and Bob Acklin, both of West Plains; a half brother, Danny Acklin, of West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Graveside services and burial were Saturday at the Dripping Springs died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at his home.
He was married to Dixie Lee Loftin, who survives of the home.
Mr. Williams was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked as an electrician and truck driver before his retirement. He was a member of the Emmett Avenue Baptist Church.
Also surviving are a daughter, Taressa Fox, of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Margaret Cusick, of Sedalia; a brother, Eldon Williams, of Sedalia; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant brother.
Graveside services and burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville at a later date.
