Larry Joe Henderson, 62, of Versailles, born April 26, 1941, in Ponca City, Okla., a son of Elton C. and Millie E. Dougherty Henderson. On Aug. 17, 1962, in Cushing, Okla., he Cemetery.

Roy W. Griffith, 1922-2003, Warsaw
Roy William Griffith, 81, of Warsaw, born July 5, 1922, in Gary, Ind., a son of Roy and Gladys Cole Griffith. In 1942, he was died earlier.
Mr. Griffith grew up in Indiana. He enlisted in the Army on Jan. 8, 1942. He was a World War II veteran, serving overseas in the Pacific Theater in India and Burma. He was a member of the Army Air Corps 768th Bomb Squadron.
While stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Russell, Kan., he was Cemetery in Warsaw with military rites at graveside.
Arrangements are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Walene Baird, 1924-2003. Calhoun
Walene Baird, 78, of Calhoun, born Dec. 19, 1924, a daughter of Herbert Bryon "Jack" and Iva Louise McMurphy Cecil. On July 17, 1942, in Warrensburg, she was Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the church in care of the funeral home.
Herbert M. Waisner, 1930-2003, Edwards
Herbert M. Waisner, 72, of Edwards, born Dec. 3, 1930, in Edwards, a son of Charles T. and Stella E. Wiseman Waisner. In 1949, in Edwards, he was died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003.
He was married to Mary Ellen Ripley, who survives.
Mr. Guthrie attended both elementary and high school in La Monte. As a young man, he worked at J.C. Penney Co. Inc. in Sedalia. He attended Sedalia Business College until the outbreak of World War II. In 1942, he joined the Navy and served in the Pacific under Adm. "Bull" Halsey until 1945.
After the war, he was discharged in California and worked for Bank of America for 16 years. He was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. From 1964 until 1966, he was an officer at Missouri State Bank in Sedalia. During the same period, he was a member of the Sedalia Men's Choral Club. Later, he was a vice president of Pacific Fire Extinguisher Co. in San Francisco, where he worked for 26 years. He was a lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and served as a scout master for several years.
In 1980, he attended a clan gathering at Guthrie Castle, Scotland. He became west coast commissioner for Clan Guthrie USA. For more than 10 years, he hosted the Santa Rosa, Calif., gathering and games. He was very proud of his heritage and his involvement with Clan Guthrie USA. In 1987, he retired and moved to Las Vegas. He had been ill for several years.
He is survived by four children, James Guthrie of Greenwood, Susan Bell of Jefferson City, Robert Guthrie of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Elizabeth Skylar of Napa, Calif.; two brothers, George Guthrie of Lee's Summit and Clarence Guthrie of La Monte; a sister, Mary Hays of La Monte; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at La Monte Christian Church.
Arthur Yontz Jr., 1915-2003, Tipton
Arthur "Babe" Yontz Jr., 87, of Tipton, born Dec. 20, 1915, in Tipton, a son of Arthur Chester Sr. and Lidwina Tegethoff Yontz. On June 29, 1946, at St. Andrew's Church in Tipton, he was Cemetery in Tipton with military rites by American Legion Post 304. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home in Tipton, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus service to follow.
Vera M. McQuinn, 1931-2003, Stanberry
Vera Mae McQuinn, 71, of Stanberry, formerly of Kansas City and Sedalia, born Nov. 2, 1931, in rural Stanberry, a daughter of Austin Michael and Mary Rose Farnan McQuinn.
Ms. McQuinn was a 1949 graduate of Stanberry High School. She was an office manager at Sunkist Growers in Kansas City, before she retired. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Stanberry.
Surviving is a sister, Beatrice Maple of Sedalia.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Austin Donald and Leo McQuinn.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Stanberry. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Saturday at the church, where a prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday. Friends may stop by the home of Don and Linda McQuinn of Stanberry to sign the register book.
