Dennis Ray Barnes
Dennis Ray Barnes was born April 14, 1945 in Shidler, Okla. to William Newell Barnes and Zoe Constance Hymer. He passed away July 23, 2006 in Mt. View, Mo at the age of 61 years.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Barnes of Hollywood, Calif. Four sisters: Cheryl Sosbee of Spartanburg SC; Patricia Hahn of Beaumont, Tex; Carolyn Nunnery of Tampa Bay, Fla; and Virginia Gatlin of Denton, Tex. Four brothers: Robert Barnes of Mtn. View, Mo; Jerry Barnes of Texas; Joe Barnes of Ada, Okla. and Virgil Barnes of Austin, Tex.
Dennis will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. Cremation services were held under the directions of Duncan Funeral Home of Mtn. View, MO.
Marie Culbertson Crouch
Marie Culbertson Crouch was born on September 8,1921, to John Washington Culbertson and Bertha Ann Eubanks, near Pomona, Mo. The oldest of ten children. She loved pulling pranks on them. She attended Lost Camp School and Church, where she gave her heart to the Lord. She often reminisced about teaching a children's "card class" there.
She married Charles W. Crouch on August 12 1941, at Pomona and gave birth to three children, whom she loved dearly. Twenty-seven years of her life were devoted to caring for the needs of her second daughter Lorene Fern. She especially enjoyed cooking, raising flowers, watching soap operas, and spoiling her grandchildren, while living at Pomona, Willow Springs, Tyrone, Summersville, West Plains and Mountain View.
In September 2005, due to health problems, Marie moved from her home into Park Place Apartments in Mt. View Mo where she met several dear freinds.
Marie lost her parents; her daughter Lorene; her husband Charles; brothers James and Robert Culbertson, and sister Ruth Johnson before her death on July 26,2006 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo at 84 yrs of age.
She is survived by one daughter Melba Stewart of Mablevale, Ark; one son Charles E Crouch and wife Barbara of Mt View Mo,; Three granddaughters; Annetta and husband Harold Hill of Springfield, Mo; Janetta Lee of Ozark, Mo; and Mary Lynn Dick and husband David of Alexander, Ark. Her great-grandchildren include Anthony and Misty Mathis, Arial and Tyler Lee, Kierstin Ernst; Jeremy, Breanne, Shelby and Alexandria Hill; plus an unofficial granddaughter; Carol Lee husband Robert, and children Jesse, Rebecca and Dakota of Mt. View.
Her surviving siblings include Ella Bryan of West Plains, Mo; Andy Culbertson and wife Sandy of Mt Vernon, Mo; Emma Havens and husband Wayne of Waynesville, Mo; Mary Mullaney of Milsboro, Del.; George Culbertson and wife Verda of Port Allen, La. and John Culbertson of Waynesville, MO plus many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 31 2006 at Duncan Funeral Chapel in Mtn. View, Mo with Pastor Randy Brooks officiating. Interment was in Lost Camp Cemetery at Pomona, Mo under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Mt. View.
Leona B Helvey
Leona B. Helvey was born January 1 1907 to Jasper N. Rosa and Viola (Randolph) Rosa in Shannon County, Mo. Leona passed away July 15, 2006 in Belton, Mo at the age of 99 years.
Leona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ira H. Helvey, and a sister Naomi Lay; a brother Virgil Rosa; one son-in-law, James D. Cockman; one great-great-granddaughter, Serena Graham; two brothers and one sister who died in infancy and childbirth
Leona is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Lee Graham and husband Paul of Eminence, and Mary Joan Cockman of Plesant Hill, Mo. Five grandchildren: Laura Lee Graham Pendino; P. Edward Graham; James Daniel Cockman Jr; Robert Hollis Cockman; and Susanne Elizabeth Cockman Garlett, fifteen great-grandchildren; Sonja Graham Marshall; Aaron Graham; Robin Graham Miller, Carolyn Pendino Hoffmann; Bobby Pendino; James Daniel Cockman III; Stacey Cockman Payne; Edward Cockman; Shauna Cockman; Robert Hollis Cockman Jr.; Tony Cockman: Holly Cockman; Lee Garlett; Ira Garlett; and Amy Garlett.
Leona was a school teacher and taught third grade in Eminence Elementary School from 1926 to 1935.
Leona was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Eminence. She taught Bible classes at the Assembly of God Church in St. Louis and Eminence.
Leonard Joseph Goehler
Leonard Joseph Goehler was born October 26, 1922 at St. Louis, Mo. to Charles and Margaret Goehler. He passed away July 24, 2006 at St Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. at the age of 83 years.
He was united in marriage to Matilda Lane on June 10, 1950 at St Louis, Mo and to this union four children were born.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Bernard Goehler and Charles Goehler; and two sisters Teresa Price and Rosemarie Melberg.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Matilda Barbara Lane Goehler of Eminence; two sons; Ronald Goehler and wife JoAnne of Ballwin, Mo ;Paul Goehler of Festus, Mo; two daughters; Barbara Goehler of Eminence, and Cindy Tompkins and husband Michael of Qulin, Mo. one step-granddaughter; Machelle Lee Liles of Clarkton, Mo; and two step-grandchildren; Jonathan Liles and Veronica Liles of Clarkton Mo. several nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.
Leonard worked at Bussman Fuse in St. Louis, Mo as a tool and die setter for 48 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed building things, fishing camping, and vacationing with his family, and playing with his grandchildren. Leonard was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in Okinawa, Japan.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 28 2006 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Eminence, with Father Ernie Marquart officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Site Cemetery at Fremont. Mo under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Eminence.
Vera Belle (Boyd) Stark
Vera Belle Boyd Stark the daughter of the late Millard Boyd and Samanthy Emmaline Morgan Boyd was born August 20 1920 at Eunice, Mo and passed away at the North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Tex. Thursday July 27, 2006 making her age 85 years 11 months and seven days.
Vera was united in marriage to Aaron T Stark March 8 1937 and to this union five children were born; Wayne, Robert, Mary Freda and Treva.
Vera was a homemaker who was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved gardening and tending her flowers. She was a wonderful mother who loved doing activities with her family.
Preceding in death are her parents, Millard and Samanthy; her husband Aaron, two children; Wayne and Mary; Five brothers; Harry Boyd; Joseph Boyd; Wade Boyd Leyburn Boyd, and Ottis Boyd.
Vera is survived by her children Treva Jackson of Fort Worth Tex. Freda Redd of Odessa Tex, and Robert Stark and wife Teresa of Chandler Tex; daughter-in-law Judy Stark of Brownwood, Tex.;four sisters Velma Bailey of Hartshorn, Mo; Tressie Pursiful of Raymondville, Mo.; Dovie Garrett and husband Leonard of Success, Mo and Alida Holt and husband Jim of Success, Mo and one brother; Troy Boyd of Farmington, Mo.; five grandchildren; Gary, Kerri Kay, Sharisse, Amber and Nathan; and six great-grandchildren. Vera is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, many other family members and friend
Services were held Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10 am at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Steelman officiating, Interment was in Union Chapel Cemetery near Eunice Mo under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
Gary Leroy Martin
Gary Leroy Martin, age 57, of House Springs, Mo., died Thursday, at 6:30am August 17, 2006 at his sons home in Purdy, Mo. Gary was born March 24, 1949 in Winona, Mo. son of Charles and Pearl (Hollaway) Martin. He is survived by his two daughters, Chonda Counts and Jenny Martin, both of Winona, two sons, Gary Martin Jr of Purdy, Mo and Thomas Martin of De Soto, Mo., five sisters; Nellie Wurth of St. Louis, Katie Knight of Eminence, Susie Elliot of Oregon, Myrtle Petty of Winona and Brena Harris of Piedmont. Five brothers Sam Martin of Mtn View, Bud Martin of Fremont, Gerald Martin, John Martin and Ronnie Martin all of Winona and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Lakin Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 20th with burial at the Monett Cemetery.

Vivian Fay Koller
Vivian Fay Koller the daughter of Fred Lanham and Daisy Randall Lanham was born in Venice, Illinois, September 2, 1936 and passed away at Fredericktown, MO, Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Madison Medical Center, making her age 69 years. Vivian was united in marriage to Charles David Koller, August 23, 1952 making their union together 54 years and three days. She worked as an inspector for in the Aerospace Field and was a member of the Production Workers Lodge No. 1345 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
As a young child, she attended a Baptist Church. She and Charles attend church in Granite City, Illinois. Preceding Vivian in death, are her parents, Fred and Doris; two sisters, Doris Stevens and Zelma Nelson.
She is survived by her husband Charles Koller of Madison Illinois; three sons, Fred Koller and wife Marsha of Walshville, Illinois; Keith Koller and wife Diane of Okawville, Illinois; Bryan Koller of Madison, Illinois; two sisters, Freda Davis and Emily Bone both of Polar Bluff, MO; one brother William Lanham of Clearwater, Fl.; 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian also had many friends who mourn her passing. Services were held Tuesday, August 29th at 2:00 Pm at Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville with Rev. George Smith officiating. Interment was in Summersville City Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
Ivan Parker
Ivan Parker, 77, of Hot Springs Village, AR died Monday at a local hospital. He was born on Oct. 21, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to the late Glenn M. Parker and Florence Parkin Parker. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He graduated from Washington University and the Missouri Institute of Law. Mr. Parker was a Park Superintendent at the St. Louis Arch and had served as Personnel Director for the National Park Service in Washington, DC. In 1978 he was awarded the Meritorious Service Award by the Dept. of the Interior. He enjoyed traveling both in the US and abroad. He was a Protestant and had been a Hot Springs Village resident since 1978. For the last year, he has been a resident of Quapaw Care and Rehab Center.
A brother, Lloyd Parker, preceded Mr. Parker in death. Survivors include a special companion, Jean Devine of Hot Springs; four children: Kevin Parker of Tulsa, OK; Steven Parker of St. Louis, MO; Linda Parker of San Diego, CA; and Dana Lomus of Washington, DC; a brother and sister-in-law: Don & Virginia Parker of Eminence, MO; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wilma & Paul Kuenzel and Norma & Larry Brinker all of Washington, MO; and two grandsons.
A visitation was held on August 30, 2006 at Caruth Village Funeral Home. Graveside services were held the same day at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs.
