Maye Turnbo
1921-2004
Funeral services for Maye Turnbo, 83, of Three Brothers, Ark., will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home, Ark., with Rev. Lowell Tregle officiating.
Burial will be in Conley Cemetery.
Mrs. Turnbo died May 29, 2004, at her home.
She was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Lakeview, Ark., the daughter of David Martin and Lucy Priscilla (Hargrave) Byrd.
She married J. N. Turnbo Nov. 26, 1941, in Gainesville.
She was a homemaker and had run the Three Brothers Store for many years.
She served on the Advisory Committee to the Board of Directors at Baxter Regional Medical Center from 1983 to 2003.
She was a member of the Three Brothers Community Church, the Seniors Education and the Quilters Club.
She enjoyed painting, quilting, gardening and cooking.
Mrs. Turnbo is survived by her husband, J. N.; one son, Jim Turnbo and his wife, Debra, of Three Brothers, Ark.; four grandchildren, Brad Knight and his wife, Leslie, Scott Knight, Jamie Cooley and her husband, Chris, and Diana Turnbo; one son-in-law, Allen Knight of Buffalo City, Ark.; one brother, Hiram E. Byrd and his wife, Gertie, of Mountain Home, Ark.; two sisters, Margie Dahlke of Mountain Home, Ark., and Josephene Pool of Bossier City, La.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pamela Kay Knight; four brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Richard L. Byrd, Hiram Edward Byrd Jr., Dwight Byrd, Benny Byrd, D.A. Dahlke and Milton Dahlke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Byrd, David Lee Byrd, Lindy Swan, Brian Byrd and Barrett Byrd.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Socity or to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Perna T. Hailey
1919-2004
Funeral services for Perna T. Hailey, 84, of Clovis, N.M., formerly of Ozark County, were held Monday, May 17, at the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis with Jim Gammon officiating.
Burial was in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Mrs. Hailey died May 12, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, N.M.
She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Romance, the daughter of Logan and Mae (Burch) Naugle.
She married Robert T. Hailey Aug. 8, 1939, in Ava.
She had been a resident of Clovis, N.M., since moving from Lubbock, Texas, in 1995.
She had been a longtime resident of the Tulsa, Okla., area.
She and her husband, Robert, owned the Daylight Donut Shops in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Okla.
She was also a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, N.M.
Mrs. Hailey is survived by two sons, Jerry Hailey and his wife, Carol Kay, of Clovis, N.M., and Harold Hailey and his wife, Margaret, of Vancouver, Wash.; one daughter, Nova Sue Adkison of Cushing, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Fish of Gainesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; one brother, Ben; and two sisters.
Pallbearers were Ralph Meyers, Kevin Adkison, Eric Johnson, Carl Sherwood, Randy Fish, Jim Hailey, David Hailey, Robert Hailey and Gary Hailey.

Felicia "Lisa" (Wilson) Gleim
1959-2004
Memorial services for Felicia "Lisa" Lynn Gleim, 44, of Theodosia, were held Wednesday, June 2, at the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals in Bull Shoals, Ark., with Rev. Dr. Fred Taylor officiating.
Mrs. Gleim died May 27, 2004, in Little Rock, Ark.
She was born Sept. 25, 1959, in Cheyenne, Wyo., the daughter of Bill and Mary Ruth (Owen) Rose.
In 1962, her family moved to Bull Shoals, Ark., and she and her brother, Bobbie, attended school in Flippin, Ark.
She married Gary Wilson July 8, 1979, at Flippin.
After her marriage to Gary Wilson, she and her husband started Swift Boat Manufacturing Company in Theodosia.
Mrs. Gleim is survived by her husband, Ricky L. Gleim; two sons, Chancey Wilson of Branson and Chase Wilson of Theodosia; her mother, Mary Schultz and her husband, Robert; one brother, Bobbie Rose of Bull Shoals, Ark.; three step-brothers, John Schultz of Houston, Texas, Dan Schultz and his wife, Nancy, of Pontiac and David Schultz and his wife, Cindy, of Tampa, Fla.; her grandmother, Dorothy Rose of Flippin; and three nieces, Heather Daffron and her husband, Kevin, of Fairview, Ark., Bridgette Sanders and her husband, Rodney, and Natalie Rose all of Benton, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gary Wilson; her father, Bill Rose; one step-brother, Robbie Schultz; one aunt, Sadie Spencer; her grandparents, Dan Rose and Zerold and Flora Owen.

Thomas Pettit
1938-2004
Funeral services for Thomas D. Pettit, 66, of Gainesville, were held Saturday, April 17, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating.
Mr. Pettit died April 13, 2004, at his home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1938, in Gassville, Ark., the son of Jack and Nova (Martin) Pettit.
On Dec. 24, 1961, he was married to Mary Patricia Moore in El Cerrito, Calif.
They had two sons who still live in Missouri.
In 1980, he married Barbara Tetters in Miami, Okla.
On Feb. 25, 1995, he married Patty Jo Merrell Crisp in Gainesville.
Mr. Pettit was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War from June 5, 1959, until June 4, 1962.
He served aboard aircraft tenders such as the Salisbury Sound and the USS Midway as a Sheet-Metal Worker Apprentice on Aircraft.
His tour of duty took him from San Diego, Calif., to the Philippines and Japan.
He was active in the Navy for four years and the Navy Reserves for four inactive years.
His military honors include the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Pettit is survived by two sons, Thomas Stephen Pettit of Isabella and Clay Daniel Pettit and his wife, Shonnie, of West Plains; three grandsons, Stephen of Isabella and Daniel and Scott of West Plains; two brothers, John Murrell and his wife, Emma, of Moody and Jim Corky and his wife, Vicky, of Mount Vernon; and one sister, Virginia Uchtman and her husband, Donald, of Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Ronald Eugene Pettit.

Don Keller
1927-2004
Memorial services for Don Keller, 76, of Festus, were held Saturday, Feb. 28 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus with Rev. Terry Crank officiating.
Mr. Keller died Feb. 24, 2004, at Scenic View Skilled Care Center in Herculaneum.
He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Plainview, Texas, the son of Mitchell Smith and Sara Frances (Russell) Keller.
He was a retired supervisor for Asarco, Inc., in Glover.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Canyon, Texas.
He was also a member of the 67 Gun Club, the National Rifle Association and the local Elks lodge.
Mr. Keller is survived by his wife Retha Mae (Quick) Keller; two sons, Rusty Keller and his wife, Janice, of Festus and Danny L. Keller and his wife, Kathy, of Brixey; two sisters, Helen Morrison of Anderson, Calif., and Mary Klump of Houston, Texas; one brother, Hugh Keller of Lubbock, Texas; and five grandchildren, Zachary Keller, Abigail Keller, Quentin Keller, Stuart Keller and Elijah Keller.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Marie Keller; two sisters; and five brothers.

James Ervin Howard
1924-2004
Funeral services for James Ervin Howard, 80, of Dora, were held Tuesday, March 30 at the Ball Church of Christ in Dora.
Burial was in the Ball Cemetery.
Mr. Howard died March 26, 2004, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains.
He was born March 2, 1924, in Ozark County, the son of Joe Henry and Helen May (Kirkland) Howard.
He married Jessie Faye Beavers Aug. 25, 1940, at Lone Rock, Ark.
He had been a member of the Odom Church of Christ in Dora since his childhood.
He worked for many years as a dozer operator in the Ozark County area.
He enjoyed church work, Bible study, singing and his grandchildren's ball games.
Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Jessie Faye; two daughters, Gayle Barnes and her husband, Ira, of Springfield, Linda Smith and her husband, Bob, of Cuba; two sons, Bill Howard and his wife, Marie, of Ava, and Ronnie Howard and his wife, Donna, of Dora; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Howard and his wife, Vineta, of Dora, and Charles Howard and his wife, Shirley, of Mountain Home, Ark.; three sisters, May Gilley of Council Hill, Okla., Lorene Dobias of Rolla, and Irene Frazier and her husband, Leroy, of Mountain View; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hazel Cobb.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Ball Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Lester Tackitt
1918-2004
Funeral services for Lester Tackitt, 85, of Caulfield, were held Tuesday, March 30 at the Elijah Church of Christ.
Burial was in the Elijah Cemetery.
Mr. Tackitt died March 27, 2004, at National Health Care in West Plains.
He was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Elijah, the son of James Grant and Rosie (Pryor) Tackitt.
He married Lucy Steele Oct. 8, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was a member of the Elijah Church of Christ.
He worked at a CC Camp as a young man.
He enjoyed squirrel hunting and visiting with family and friends.
Mr. Tackitt is survived by his wife, Lucy; two sons, Kenneth Tackitt and his wife, Bonnie, of Wichita, Kan., and Carl Tackitt of Caulfield; two daughters, Judy Hixon and Janice Hayes and her husband, Jim, of Caulfield; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorotha Graves of West Plains.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Tackitt; three daughters, Lucille, Linda Kay and Sherry Leigh; his parents; four brothers, Arvel, Virgil, Lewis and Claud Tackitt; two sisters, Alberta Daugherty and Dona Bell Tackitt; and one son-in-law, Arthur Ray Hixon.
Memorials may be made to the Elijah Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
